I would love to comment on this place, which my parents had reserved for this week starting today, but on Friday the rental company called and CANCELLED, three days before they arrived. So, now my parents are sleeping on my floor. Yes, they gave our FULL COST DEPOSIT back, but that was FAR FROM SUFFICIENT to cover our trouble. They initially offered an additional $200, which we felt was insufficient for 3 days notice, but finally, they added insult to injury by instead offering us $100 at Boa Steakhouse, which if you've ever been would barely cover one meal. We DID NOT accept either offer. It's sad that we have to resort to litigation to get fair compensation for breach of contract. This has put a dark cloud over my parents' vacation.

Owner response: The current vacationer decided to extend their stay by 30 days and we called the proposed vacationer, apologized and advised them. We refunded their stay 100% the next day and offered them $200 but they wanted $400. We then offered them alternate housing at a lower rate and closer to the beach and they refused. We then offered them a dinner for 2 at Boa but they wanted dinner for 4. We sincerely apologized to them but since the proposed vacationer contends he is a lawyer he threatened to litigate.

I would recommend this apt. to anyone staying in Santa Monica. What a great location and easily accessible to a grocery store right down the street, outdoor shops a few blocks down and the beach and pier within distance. The apt. was laid out well with all the amenities one needs. Much better than staying at a hotel! Parking was sometimes difficult to find along the street at night. We would stay there again.

Great location, and really nice apartment, with all the amenities, right down to a BBQ on the patio, and a bicycle too! Beats staying at a hotel! I felt right at home, the internet connection worked great, and I really enjoyed my 10 days on Euclid Street. This was my first time renting from Vacation Home Rentals, and it was a completely positive experience. I would do it again without hesitation. However I DID have some difficulty parking, especially when I got home late at night. It was easier during the day -- but then again, Santa Monica is notorious for it's lack of adequate parking spaces. So you take the good with the bad.

We stayed here last month (Oct 08) and greatly enjoyed the apartment. What a wonderful change from hotels, even the nicest. The apartment is well laid out, with very comfortable furniture, lots of morning sun and a very nice enclosed and very private patio with picnic table and roses. We will be returning for a month in early 09.
