Our Cottage is located next door to one of St. Simons' Best communities, The Cottages at Live Oak, which is conveniently located off Demere Road, just past Beach Drive. Only a few minutes walk to the Beach or the Village makes this cottage the best location on the island. In 2009 Glynn County finished construction of a new $4m public outdoor aquatic play park and putt putt course in the Village (pictures below).
This cottage has pine floors and is beautifully decorated! 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bath. The first master bedroom is located on the ground floor and second master bedroom upstairs with additional 2 bedrooms and bath with full laundry room. Sleeps 8-10 people. We loved this cottage. It was clean and well maintained. There were 7 adults and 3 children and we had plenty of room. The location was perfect. We had a great time this Labor Day weekend. We were at St. Simons for a family reunion and our cottage was defintely the best!

My husband and I stayed here with three other couples for a wedding in May and were extremely pleased with the house. It is the perfect size for 8 people (4 couples) and I know would be perfect for families with kids. The living/dining room and kitchen area were great - very spacious with a large kitchen table and a couple of sofas. It's hard to know if you are going to feel cramped with 8 adults in one house for a weekend, but we did not feel cramped at all, nor did we feel like we were dancing around one another to get things in the kitchen, etc. The downstairs master has new furniture which is beach-y and fitting for the place! All the beds were comfortable and we had no problems with bathrooms as there are three fulls and one half which makes life easier (especially when you are all getting ready at the same time). Location, location, location! I have to say, this house is in the PERFECT location and so close to everything you need/want to get to. It was only about a 3 or 4 minute drive to East Beach and only one street over from Crabdaddy's, Crab Shack and Saltwater Cowboy which was very convenient. It took no time to get to the other shops and restaurants and only about a 3 minute drive from the lighthouse and Village (which was very convenient for us since that is where the reception was held). Only a 5 minute drive to Winn-Dixie so that was great too. All in all, I would definitely stay at this cute beach house again as it was not only a great place, it was a steal too compared to what some of our friends were paying (and they did not have as cute of a place as us, or as much room). Loved this house ~ strongly recommend you stay here for your next trip to St. Simons! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in!

We were getting married and we picked SSI because we love the setting. Her parents suggested we rent a house and have a family vacation. I wasn't sure how it would work out (being newlyweds and all), but this house was PERFECT!!! The downstairs master bedroom has its own private balcony. With all the other bedrooms upstairs, my wife and I had all the privacy we needed, but could still socialize with the family when we wanted. We spent some time on the upstairs balcony, and the view was breath taking. The house is beautifully appointed (I loved the kitchen) with all the amenities you will need. We even took our xbox360 and easily connected it to the living room TV. A fun time was had by all, and we are already considering contacting the owner again about renting for the same week next year.

This was a great house and location for our family trip. The home is very well taken care of and had everything we needed. You can walk or bike to the village area for dinner or stroll to the beach. There is much charm in this location and great for families. Awesome new water park in the historic village area and beautiful beaches and parks. The moss filled trees are beautiful. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and family.

I rented this lovely house for 2 weeks in June. The weather was hot but the AC was superb, we were always comfortable. The house has great features, lots of room, great dining table and chairs for games and dinners.The owner was very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the sheets and towels were of good cotton quality. Could have used 1 more comfy chair in the living room. Also the wi-fi was coming and going but owner said he would have this fixed ASAP. All in all this is a GREAT house with a good location in a wonderful community.
