For our Guests looking for a longer stay of 7 days or more we will have two one bedroom furnished suites in one of Ladner's finest heritage houses, The Handford House, in the heart of the village.
The Heritage Suite is the upper floor of a classic Craftsman’s style house built in the early 1900's. It has a large picture widow in the living area overlooking Ladner’s main street. A modern kitchen with French doors opening onto an elevated patio on the outside deck. A bedroom with queen-size bed is situated across from a full four piece bathroom.
The Fraser Suite is on the main floor where the turn of the century elegance has been retained by renewing the original flooring, moldings’ and stained glass fixtures. The living room has a large picture window highlighted by a comfortable window seat. It has a modern kitchen with seating for four that opens to the rear. A bedroom with its queen size bed is situated in the front of the suite under an antique stained glass window. A full three piece bathroom is located to the rear of the kitchen
The suite comes complete with a pre-stocked fridge with the first days breakfast so all you have to do on the first night is settle in and enjoy a quiet glass of sherry on us. Weekly cleaning and linen exchange is included along with cable TV, local telephone and Wireless Internet service.
The elegance of early craftsmanship abound with crown mouldings and stained glass highlights makes this an excellent home base for exploring Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and close enough to visit Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. It is also doubles as executive accommodations while on business, where else to impress an important business visitor or employee.

Owner's Map of Ladner
Marv and Lynn Fraser of Heritage House Interiors as one of only four owners in almost 100 years and now along with Will and Barb Watkins of River Run Cottages would like to present the newly updated Handford House.
Even though the Handford House has had four owners and a number of face lifts in the past, it still retains much of the original design and finishing work. These are the accents that make the Handford House a warm and comfortable house to visit and enjoy.
Currently the house is managed by River Run Cottages as a two suite Vacation Rental with an onsite live-in manager. The two suites have retained the old time charm and are complemented with the period style furniture and furnishings by Heritage Home Interiors.
