Our Family and Group go to the Destin / Panama City area every summer for a week; we a group of 20 most years. Because of the size of our group it’s made it difficult to find an affordable yet acceptable accommodation on the beach. This Condo Set-Up was our answer this year. We arrived to clean and fresh units and they were ready without any wait, better than most other accommodations in the past. The A/C units keep the rooms just like if we were at your home; with multiple cooling zones ensuring that in the middle of July the units stayed cool and comfortable. All the appliances were in working order. There were plenty of Pots, Pans, Dishes and Silverware. Our group has two culinary artist cooking every night of our stay and we always bring along a favorite pot, but these units really had everything you need – even well-seasoned black cast iron pots to our surprise. When it comes to accommodations and price, you will not find a better value. Now for the important part, what every Florida vacation is about, “THE BEACH”. The units are right next to 4 elevators, right out the door. These are the fastest elevators you will ever ride in. We stayed for the 4th of July week, so the wait at times (Mid-Day and Check-in/Check-Out) were a little longer than I liked, but that’s the price to pay when you are at condo’s that everyone wants to stay at. Once at Beach level it’s a very short walk, only steps to the Pool and then down a board walk to the beach. The Condo’s came with 2-2 beach chair set up that was a $480 value the best I could tell by what they charged the lady ahead of me in line. We got the beach chairs no hassle for the whole week in the same spot. Just behind the 2-sets of chair we were able to set up a 10’ x 10’ quick up tent (LSU of course) for the entire week. At the end of each day we just put our personal belongings under the tent, lower the top. We left Tent and all beach accessories out on the beach every night, no problems, no trouble. This was really nice and it is very hard to find a beach anywhere that allows this. If you like the beach and do this often, you know how awesome this is. What a sweet set-up every day on the beach! So we are set-up on the beach; then we were just steps away from a Tiki-Hut that servers alcohol and non-alcohol drinks (encase we run out ?) . We also had access to every beach activity in Panama City right there on your beach; Jet Skis, Kayaks, Parasailing, Pontoon Boats and more…. Awesome, hello! The Pool

The condo is great. Just as described. Beds are excellent also. We had a great time. The owners responded quickly through emails with questions we had before ever arriving. Thanks guys.

Very Unhappy

I have waited several months to post this because I just knew I would receive an apology from the owner but I guess that is not going to happen. These units should not be on the rental market. They are filthy, under equipped and not in working order. We had a family reunion in September and rented both units. We were told that each unit was set up for 10 people and there were 16 in our group. We arrived in PCB ready for a great week, opened the doors, and I almost cried. To say the carpet in both units was filthy is an understatement. It was so stained, worn and dirty that it truly needed to be replaced. We had 2 babies in our group and were afraid to even let them on the floor. If you walked on the carpet barefooted, your feet were completely black and nasty - it was horrible. I don't think the units had been cleaned in several weeks - there was dust and dirt on the floors and counter tops, and the refrigerators smelled. We had to clean before we could even unpack. We called the cleaning service (number was in the unit) and the owner. Owner said the unit and carpet had just been cleaned - cleaning service said unit had been cleaned but they hadn't had time to clean the carpet. My sister went to take a shower and we found out that we had plumbing problems - neither shower in one of the units would drain. Back to Wal-Mart for draino, another call to the owner, another wait for maintenance. Sometime during the first night everyone in one unit was woken up by a huge bang from the air conditioner and it quit working. Another wait for the air-conditioner company. Between both units we had 12 forks, 9 spoons, 10 dinner plates and very few pots and pans; back to Wal-Mart for paper plates, plastic silverware, cups, etc. It became so difficult we ended up eating out almost every night in small groups because you can't make reservations and a table for 16 is hard to come by. Except for one security guard, we were harassed by employees everytime we went to the pool because we had a total of 6 pool wrist bands. The people at the Wyndham desk finally gave us some as the owner never faxed a letter that he said he would so we could get more and they knew what we were going thru. If you are considering these units, be sure they have been renovated! Needless to say, this was a miserable vacation. I sent pictures to the owner when we returned showing the condition of the carpet, etc. and never had a response. All I wanted was an apology.

Owner response:This particular customer rented both our units which are side by side and each unit is set up to sleep 10 people. So as you read this, please keep in mind that each unit is a 3 bedroom and we rent indivuduallly or together. Regarding the renters comments, I talked to the customer regarding their complaint about the carpet. I immediately contacted the cleaning serivce they went to visit with the customer to resolve the issue. They offered to have the carpet cleaned... which we understand wasn't convienient for the customer at the time. I also contacted the prior renters for both the units and discussed the carpet and neither one felt the carpet was terriable but could use cleaning. We cleaned the carpet when the customers checked-out of the unit and had renteres afterwards without any complaints regarding the carpet.. I followed up with our customers the following day and appologized that the unit didn't meet their expectations and asked how I could make their stay better. The units are 4 years old and we haven't had such complaints in the past and haven't had complaints since their stay. I was concerned about their complints and made a trip in October to inspect the units and found everything in working order. The condo units are side by side and from time to time some of the silverware, plates and glassware are taken out of the units and left in the other units. We took some inventory of plates and silverware from one unit and balanced the invnetory. We have more than enough plates and silverware for 10 people per unit. We have a major investment in the condoss and take pride in the professional decorated units. I rent to my friends and relatives and receice compliments about how nice the units look.. I for one understand that carpet is something that shows wear and tear and we are in the process of removing the carpet in the living and dining area and replace with tile. I am disheartened that we had a customer that wasn't satisified but it is our policy to make sure our customers have a great vacation. Come stay with us and you have my assurance that you will be satisified with our condos. We have a cleaning service that stands behind their work and will make visit you should you have any concerns.
