The apartment was exactly what we had imagined it was. The pictures listed do not exaggerate the beautiful roof top views. It was immaculate and very well designed with a comfortable living area that separates the two bedrooms. Our Prague contact, Radek, was very helpful in coordinating a ride from the airport and then showing us around the apartment upon arrival. Perfect location right in Old Town Square. Highly recommended.

Location and comfort

As promised, this flat is located right off the old town square, which can be a noisy, bustling place for the younger party crowd at night - but you wouldn't know you're so close to all that in the quiet of the flat. The flat is comfortable, stylish, well appointed, and comes with friendly staff to help you before and during your stay. Pack light - several flights of stairs. Great bathrooms!!!!

A wonderful holiday in Prague

Three of us traveled to Prague and stayed in the most wonderful place!! Dana's apartment!!! It is in the center of everything and it is only a short walk to the metro. No car is needed! We traveled to Dresden and other places nearby. We had luxury accommodations so upon returning from our day of touring we could unwind and relax! Dana goes above and beyond to insure your stay in Prague is memorable.

Best location virtually on Old Town Square. Walking distance to most attractions. The apartment and furnishings appear to be brand new. Very comfortable beds in the two bedrooms and a nice pullout couch for our kids. Again, I can’t think of a better location if you want to be in the center of all the historical sights, theaters, bars and restaurants. On the third floor so recommended for healthy travelers only.

We stayed here for four days and could not have asked for a better accommodation. Location was right on old town square. Apartment was large, clean and property manager was easily accessible for questions, etc. and quite helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

The apartment was more than what we expected. Perfect location. Radek was kind and helpful. Everything we needed for our family (2 adults and 3 children). They even had children's dishes/cups/silverware stocked in the kitchen!

Absolutely fantastic apartment. Location was perfect - steps from the Old Town Square and the astronomical clock, but amazingly isolated and quiet. Centrally located and walking distance to every possible tourist destination, and surrounded by great pubs and restaurants. Very clean, well-appointed, and plenty of room for our party of six. Excellent kitchen - we prepared most of our breakfasts and dinners at home. Completely renovated bathrooms with plenty of hot water, and free wi-fi. As with many buildings in Prague, there is no lift. There are about 77 steps to get to the apartment, and some may find that to be negative. In my opinion, if you aren't prepared to walk, you shouldn't be visiting Prague anyway. This is a great competitively-priced apartment, in a great location. It made a wonderful trip even better. We will stay here without hesitation if we ever return to Prague. Highly-recommended.

A perfect stay in a magical city. I note above all the perfect location of this apartment, right next to the old square in the historical center of Prague. The apartment must emphasize the elegance and comfort as well as the details are not lacking even the slightest. Great apartment in a wonderful location. Honestly, you can't have a better location. literally a one minute walk to the Old Town Square and central to the entire town. The apartment is very nice. We would stay here again!!!!

We had not rented an apartment for a vacation before. I had my concerns, however working with Dana and Radek was very straightforward and well organized. They arranged a driver from/to the airport.The apartment is exactly as the photos show plus more; clean, beautiful- a very relaxing home to return to after sightseeing. The location and ease of getting to all sights could not be better, right at the heart of old town. Even though its just 3 flights up from the busy side streets off the square, the apartment is quiet. Even more so than our home in the countryside of Virginia. Dana, thank you very much for the opportunity to stay in your lovely apartment. Our next visit to Prague we will plan our vacation time based on when this apartment is available. This apartment is in a perfect location to explore Prague. It is nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable, and it has good curtains on the windows and modern bathrooms with all the amenities. Also, the wi-fi is GREAT! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Prague.

I booked this apartment for my wife and our three adult children as our base for a week in Prague. The service was outstanding, the location peerless and the amenity superb. Everything that we could hope for was supplied within the apartment (and there are some who do not provide such niceties as a functioning wireless internet, toaster or coffee maker). Arrangements for pick up and departure were offered, accepted and provided seamless value. We highly recommend this service.

Two couples stayed here in Prague for a week. We enjoyed a quiet stay but right on the old town square which is the best location in the city. Both bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The bedrooms were at opposite ends of the apartment so each couple had privacy and separate bathroom. The kitchen, living, and dining area was large, sunny and very well equipped with all necessary kitchen ware. The local greeter and manager was friendly and helpful. Our e-mail contact with the owner was prompt and payment throught paypal was efficient. If we have the opportunity to return to beautiful Prague this would be our first choice for accommodation.

Previous reviews say it all, but I still wanted to add my two cents ... My grandmother traveled with us, and let me tell you a little bit about her ... She is not just picky, she made Ritz-Carlton cry when we stayed there ... This time around, staying at Melantrichova 20, she didn't even mind the absence of the elevator - and she is 82 years old, mind you, and it is hard for her to get on the third floor without stopping every few minutes to take a break ... Overall, couldn't have been happier with our choice, it made a vacation to Prague a dream to remember ... Will be coming back :)

Best location ever...

Having stayed in many vacation rental properties all over Europe I must say that this one definitely rates in the top 5 percent. You simply cannot ask for a better location in Prague. Literally just steps away from the Old Town Square. When you step out of the front door you have an unobstructed view of the top of the Clock Tower. So you get to see and hear the trumpeter every hour. But you are not right on the square so there are no noise issues. To get there by car is a little tricky. You call the representative in advance and arrange to meet at the apartment based on directions that the owner has supplied. Once there you can park for a short while and you only have about 20 metres to get to the stairway. Then the representative will personally guide you to underground parking - where you leave the car for your entire stay.

This apartment is simply EXCELLENT! Review Submitted: August 7, 2012 Date of Stay: August 2012 This is a wonderful apartment: spacious, beautiful with an ideal location. You could not be closer to the main square and astronomical clock. Despite this once you are upstairs in the apartment it is not noisy. When staying at this apartment it is possible to explore the square, Charles Bridge etc. early in the morning when there are no people around....just make yourself some coffee and stumble downstairs. The beds are very comfortable and all the equipment is modern and works perfectly. There are astonishing views of the towers and spires out the windows, particularly at night. Hundreds of places to eat within a few blocks including a fantastic ice cream parlor and Starbucks at the base of the staircase leading to the apartment. I can not imagine a better place to stay!!!!

The apartment is definitely as described with accurate photos. Radek met us at the apartment and made arrangements in advance for our airport from/to transportation. The information folder and travel books and maps in the apartment allowed us to experience Prague in a comfortable manner. We found the grocery store immediately, stocked up with food, and off we went to explore the city. The central location of the apartment allowed us to walk to most of the sights in a leisurely manner.

The reviews of this apartment are very true. I visited Prague toward the end of June and I stayed with my daughters and mother-in-law in the apartment for 4 nights. I have always stayed in hotels during my vacations but thought I would try an apartment. I was nervous about it however it worked out so well for all of us. There was amply space in the apartment. It was very clean, in fact, spotless and very modern. Rudek (the apartment manager) arranged with his driver to pick us up at the airport and the driver was waiting for us when we arrived. Rudek showed us around the apartment and familiarized with the operation of the property. Prague is a wonderful city and I would highly recommend the city and this apartment. Do keep in mind that the apartment is on the 3rd floor so you need to be pretty fit to get up and down the stairs, having said this my mother-in-law did it several times each day and she is turning 80 next month. Also no air-conditioning so can get warm, but lots of fans in place.

Great apartment and great location! The apartment had everything we needed and is beautiful. Easy access to everything that we wanted to visit. I love the fact that the apartment was so quiet and as soon as you walked out the entrance to the building there were people everywhere, shopping, restaurants. For activities I would visit Prague Castle, especially Golden Lane and the Cathedral) and we had lunch at Villa Richter nearby) and the Prague Jewish Museum.

We were 3 sisters and a niece traveling to this beautiful City. We were very please with the location of the apartment right in the heart of the action. The listing photos reflect exactly the apartment we rented. Very quiet, well equipped, we felt at home because it was noticeable that the owner lives in North America. The information given to us by the owner of all commodities (restaurants, grocery store, market etc) was very helpful. We loved the location since it was within walking distance to many attraction and restaurants. We walked everywhere and did not need to use public transportation. Dana the owner was helpful throughout all phases of the booking process. The car service from and to the airport is a Plus. Martin was very nice to us and showed us the apartment. I recommend this apartment to everyone. Every aspect of this rental earns 5 stars.

We loved the location since it was within walking distance to many attractions and eating establishments. We walked everywhere and did not use public transportation. The apartment is perfectly laid out for two couples traveling together and the owner was very helpful.

The locatation doesn't get any better than this. Right in the action. But Quiet apartment. The washer and dryer were a huge benifit. 3 of Rick Steve recommended restaurants within 200 yards of the apartment. This is the best of over 6 apartments rented in the last 3 years. Clean and well equiped.

This apartment sets a new standard for all vacation rentals. It is flawlessly cleaned, beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, and well maintained. The location is amazing, the apartment description very accurate, and the rave reviews are well earned. I would be delighted to return and pleased to recommend it to a friend...or my boss. It is located in the midst of scores of well priced, delicious restaurants. It truly is just steps away from the Old Town Square, a remarkably beautiful and exciting space. Prague is a great city - beautiful, fun, and friendly, and staying in this lovely apartment enhances the experience. The sets of double doors that allow you to separate each bedroom from the central living area, providing much privacy and quiet, are a great feature. It's a perfect vacation spot for two couples. Dana the owner was helpful throughout all phases of the booking process and returned the security deposit immediately. The apartment manager Radek was prompt and helpful, meeting the car service he'd ordered for us and giving us a thorough introduction to the apartment. Every aspect of this rental earns 5 stars.

Without A Doubt - The Best of Prague

My wife and I and two friends spent five nights in Prague. All four of us agree that there couldn't possibly be a better choice for lodging in the city than this apartment. The location is exceptional, and the decor and cleanliness of the property are outstanding. It's even better in person than it appears in the photos posted here...and that's really saying something. The apartment floor plan, with the two bedrooms and bathrooms at opposite ends of the unit provided each couple suitable privacy, while the central area was a large and comfortable place to relax and plan our days' activities. The reservations process was troublefree, and the owner provided an abundance of local tips and recommendations ahead of time which helped make our trip very enjoyable. She also arranged for private transportation from/to the airport that was very economical and efficient. We've already recommended this apartment to good friends of ours who are making plans to visit Prague early next year.

My family rented this wonderful apartment in early November and had a great time. The location frankly must be the best in Prague. It is just off the main square in old town and close to everything we wanted to see and do. The beds were comfortable, the amenities met our needs and check ion and check out was a piece of cake. Once piece of advice, pack lightly as the apartment is on the third floor and there are a lot of steps, but the climb is worth the effort. Hopefully we will return someday. We, and another couple, spent four wonderful days exploring Prague, using this delightful apartment as a base. It is exactly as described - bright, airy, modern, clean, and exceptionally well equipped. It's on the third floor of a walk-up (no elevators) and is perhaps twenty steps from the famous Old Town Square of Prague. Prague itself is a wonderful city, and deserves more than four days' stay. Everything you could want is within easy walking distance - restaurants, grocery stores, classical music venues, tourist sights, Prague's excellent public transportation system, markets, etc. The owner thoughtfully provides excellent maps, tips, and suggestions about how to get around and see the sights. Prague is not a city to use your car - if you decide to bring a car, it will probably stay parked in an expensive public garage about five minutes' walk from the apartment.. The aprtment itself (and most of the entire Old Town area) is a pedestrian-only zone, so you can't even drive a car there. The owner's representative will meet you at the apartment, show you how it works, and give you some ideas about what's in the area. He'll also make an anppointment to meet you as you leave, to pick up the keys and return your deposit. Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes - you'll not regret it! Thank you, Dana, for sharing your outstanding apartment. We recommend it without reservation!

Great quiet apartment in the middle of everything

A colleague and I spent a week in Prague during August, attending a conference. The owner was very helpful in planning our trip, providing lots of local information. As requested, we were greeted at the airport, transported to the apartment, and met by an English-speaking host. The apartment is spacious, in great condition, and tastefully finished and furnished, exactly as described on the site. It is located 10-20m away from the Clock Tower square, yet isolated from the tourist crowds and the noise: it is on the third (top) floor and the windows are facing either the small back street or the inner courtyard. The high floor and the many windows allow for plenty of light; there aren't open views of the streets or the square, but the nearby buildings are of the same height and far enough away to let light in. Good internet connection even through the thick walls, good hot water supply, full kitchen utilities, lots of spare towels and linens, no security issues for the apartment or in this area of Prague. A 5 min walk to all the central tourist attractions, restaurants, concerts, subway stop. There are several small restaurants and bars right downstairs in the back street, with small bands playing in the evening. Starbucks lovers will enjoy having one right by the entrance of the building. Overall, we had a great stay, I would recommend this apartment to anyone, with or without kids. A little bit on the pricey side, but the location, condition, amenities, and amount of space justify it. Certainly a better deal than a hotel, especially if several people share the cost.

We just returned to the states from our visit in Prague. What a fabulous city and we could have not chosen a nicer apartment for our stay. Centrally located with all the "happenings" of the Old Town right outside your door. The apartment had a "contemporary" feel to the design with plenty of room for our family (parents, a 19 year old and a 13 year old). The city was a much less expensive place to tour as compared to Vienna, offering great restaurants and wonderful "free tours". One word of warning, if you arrive by rail, be sure to make the effort to go "upstairs/outside" to catch a "AAA Taxi". The cab drivers downstairs in the taxi area were rude, stated that the "AAA" company only traveled to the bus station and the airport, and tried to charge us TRIPLE the amount we were charged by the "AAA" company. Beware.

We had such a wonderful time! The apartment lived up to and surpassed our expectations. The location is amazing. We loved being in the center of the Old Town. There were no snags. Martin met us on time, gave us the keys and oriented us to the apartment. He arranged reasonable transport to the airport and that too went off without a snag. We used two of the restaurant suggestions and loved both. Thanks for a great experience!

This flat is just as described. It's spotlessly clean, well appointed and the location couldn't be better (just steps from the astrological clock in the Old Town Square). The first night we were worried about noise from the crowded pedestrian street below but closed windows blocked it out completely. We arranged airport pick up (fantastic service for less than the cost of a taxi) and our check in was seamless. Honestly, no complaints about this flat...it was everything we wanted for a mom's "girl's weekend" in Prague.

Perfect stay in Prague!

This home is one of the finest I have rented. It was even nice than the pictures show. Two full bedrooms and two full bathrooms, which we found hard to find in Prague. Large living room/kitchen we which used quite a bit. We were met at the property by the caretaker and he escorted us to the unit, showed us how to use everything, and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this home. Splendid Appartment in Prague

We had a splendid week in Praga; the city, the people, the restaurants, everything was nice. The appartment is perfect; we liked very much the place in the center of the town and the planning of the appartment with the two bedrooms and bathrooms separated. Radek the caretaker is ponctual and organised very well our trips to the airport. We will inform our friends and family of your appartment. In brief, an unforgettable week in Praga.

Spent two wonderful weeks in this beautiful, very clean Prague apartment. Totally agree with the numerous flattering reviews in this listing...Excellent location in walking distance to most Prague points of interest....Onsite agent Radek very friendly and efficient... Recommend highly.

We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. It was clean, superbly well located, well laid out for two couples so as to ensure privacy, and simply a joy to enjoy. It's hard to believe that such a centrally-located apartment can be so quiet, situated literally steps from the Old Town Square. Contact and communications with the owner were prompt, efficient and courteous. We have no hesitation in recommending the apartment. It was better than staying in a hotel, which we had previously done in Prague.

Hi Dana, The stay in the apartment was LOVELY. The Location couldn't have been better and more secure for sight seeing. There were 5 of us in our early thirties and we wanted to see Prague for it's historical beauty and enjoy the culinary and beer specialities of the city. I can't say enough for the space, the convenience in location, and the ease of getting to a fro in and around the city from your flat... Ten thumbs up ;-)

We had a lovely time in Prague and the apartment was really beautiful which added to our weekend. The apartment was exactly like the pictures and its location is truly exceptional for wandering around the Old Town square. Radek (and the organised taxi driver) was punctual and friendly on arrival and departure. Would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

The Best Location and Quality

The apartment is really spectacular. The pictures depict what the apartment is actually like. It is very clean and has everything needed for a long term stay, including cleaning/laundry supplies, linens, and kitchen appliances. It is literally steps from the Old Town Square and anything you might need is close by. Dana and Radek provided all the information we needed and payment was easy. The Restaurace U Spirku on Kozna is delicious and convenient, as it is right outside the apartment. Although there were three flights of stairs and it was a hike with all of our stuff, I would still highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Driving to the apartment was not for the faint of heart. Many streets have no signs and it is confusing which ones are strictly pedestrian. Google Maps and GPS are not able to distinguish pedestrian areas so if you make a wrong turn it is difficult to find your way. With young children, I was worried because I could not lock the third floor windows. Also, there is no phone in the apartment.

Owner response: Thank you for submitting your review, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay in our apartment. The apartment is in the city center and, as in most European cities, driving in the Old Town could present some challenges. We do supply driving directions to all our guests who intend to use a car, a map with arrows indicating how to drive in and out of the location (red arrows for directions “in” and green for “out”). We recommend to use this map, rather than to rely on GPS or simply a city map. The windows have locks that require certain force to open, so small children would be unable to open them. Regarding the telephone, unfortunately the option of unlimited local phone calls with block on international calls is not available from the local service providers. Therefore accounting of all phone calls with each of the guests would present a major challenge (the rates per minute are rather high). Guests generally use their cell phones and internet Skype calls. Once the telephone providers start to offer unlimited local calls package we will certainly put the phone in the apartment.
