This house is large, luxurious, spotlessly clean, and I would recommend this to anyone staying in the area. From start to finish the owner was helpful and informative, without being intrusive. The house itself is well equipped, with everything you could think of in the kitchen, and a lovely big BBQ outside. There was plenty of seating inside and out with the whole house being very spacious. The bedrooms are huge, and beautifully decorated, and the bathrooms were positively massive! There was a massive TV, but we tended to put some music on, open the doors to the terrace and sit outside with a glass of wine and the BBQ on. You can see the ocean from the front balconies, and they are great for just sitting and watching the world go by. However my favourite spot was sitting on the private dock. Whilst there are houses all around it doesn't feel hemmed in as they all are well spaced apart, and being at the end of the canal, it felt very private. As for Key Colony Beach, well we loved it. Everyone is very friendly. We spent some days relaxing at the Cabana Club. Whilst not the prettiest pool area the beach is lovely, the food was good and it had a good atmosphere. We spent some afternoons and early evening on the private Inch Beach, a great spot to watch the passing dolphins. We liked that whilst you share the beach with others, it never got busy, sometimes we were the only ones there. In the evenings we tried two of the restaurants on Key Colony Beach. The Key Colony Inn was about a 5 minute walk away and was nice, but not amazing. The food was good, but we felt that it was mainly for the older folk. We then tried Sparkys Landing and decided we didn't need to venture any further. The food was good and varied, it had a fantastic atmosphere with the locals all taking time to chat, it had a nice view over the canal, and some nights live music. We loved it there. We were close enough to everything that we wanted to do, and felt that staying in the middle of the keys was the right choice for exploring up or down, and even over to the Everglades. All in all, if you are looking for luxury, in a peaceful and beautiful spot with a few restaurants close by, then this is the place for you, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Luxury 3000 square foot home on Canal in Key Colony

Arriving in the evening was the beginning of a most magical experience. Our week started as we stood outside of the homes tranquilly lite driveway and front entrance. This beautiful home is positioned amongst multi million dollar propertys, beaches and restaurants. The inside of the home itself boasts eleganct spaciousness. We spent many evenings on the patio(s) enjoying the sunset and the water canal view. The owners provided every convenience you could possible need, from umbrellas, beach chairs, BBQ and a fully stocked kitchen. This home is truly and gem and we were never dissappointed We were able to dock our boat right at the property and jet out the canel to either the Guelph or the Atlantic. Just returned from spending a fabulous family week In Key Colony Beach. The house was magnificent with all that you could want or need. It was clean, well kept, and beautifully and comfortably decorated with plenty of room for our family of 6. Loved the location halfway between Key Largo and Key West. Marathon was just a short ride away providing shopping and dining. Hammock Curry State Park was a great beach and only a short ride away. Short walk to beautiful Sunset Beach, private Inch Beach and pool access at the Cabana Club. The owners were friendly, outgoing and accessible.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

5 star resort!

The owners of this house make the guest feel as if they are staying at a five star resort. Everything is inluded. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The house was comfortable and roomy. The best part was also the boat dock out back just a few mintes to either the ocean or the bay and the bait store was literally in the middle of both. The owners have gone out of their way to think of everything a renter would need. We will be back!

Recently the wk of 12/12/11 myself and two friends stayed at this home to celebrate my 60th birthday. We can not say enough good things regarding the home-the conditions and our enjoyable visit there for a week. We did not want for one thing the home didn't offer already. We all had been to some very nice places in travels but this one went to the top of the list for us all and do hope to return someday. The owners were more than helpful about the area and local things of interest , we had never been to this area before. But this is definitely an EXCELLENT place to stay.!! Hope to return soon.

This home is immaculate inside and out! The beautiful community of Key Colony is very peaceful and well maintained. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My husband and son scored big time with "bugs" and hog snapper. We could not have asked for a more memorable vacation. Thank you.

This vacation rental is top notch! If luxury, cleanliness, and close proximity to nice beaches, swimming, and par 3 golf are important to you, this is the place to stay. Our three teenagers had plenty of room to spread out, read, play games, take walks, and swim. The back porch is private, spacious and a relaxing place to eat dinner or read. The owners have kept this home very well-maintained and it is comfortable and beautiful. The kitchen has every appliance and tool you will need to fix your fabulous seafood catch of the day. This was our third visit to Key Colony Beach and this is by far our favorite rental. The owners are most gracious and welcoming and are helpful in answering any questions you may have about the area or the home. This rental will not disappoint!

Beautiful home, beautiful location and wonderful owners made for a wonderfully relaxing week in the Keys! Upon our arrival the owner called to check in to make sure everything was fine. The home and neighbourhood exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed Sunset Beach, the club and the fishing. We even managed to get in a road race at Sombrero Beach before we left. We had a fabulous stay in this house in Mid February and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a base to explore the Keys. It lacked no amenities, and was very easy to relax in, either outside on the porch or on the couch with a good book or movie. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the Keys.

We had an absolutely wonderful week at this house. The home is bright, open, with lots of windows. Kitchen was awesome with all amenities. Napping on the back porch was favorite of all. We especially enjoyed the easy, fast access by boat to either bay or ocean. Beach and pool access were available, but only visited briefly as we enjoyed hanging out at the house and dock. Thanks for a wonderful, relaxing week!

WOW! What an amazing house! This was our second trip to Key Colony Beach, and this house really made it a memorable trip- definitely a step up from our previous rental. There were 5 in our party, from two families, but we had room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen had absolutely everything I looked for. The dock had plenty of room, and made it very easy to get on and off the boat. The owners were very accomodating and helpful. We'll be back!!

My friends and I have been staying at key colony beach for six years.we have moved from one rental house to another because it is hard to please everyone but now after six years of looking we all have agreed we can stop looking now. The home is perfect for the fishermen,the cook, and the book readers.
