We just returned from a week in the Condo. Property is as described and was truly exceptional with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Balcony is a true asset as you can host wonderful dinners outside. Very spacious and well appointed we enjoyed sunny and open concept of the living space. We were particularly impressed with the owner's helpful hints and recommendations. Carlos, who works with the owner, was excellent and helped us out tremendously - he was puntual and reliable. We rented his car for the week and it was cheap and very useful. Many thanks and would return...tomorrow!

Wonderful winter getaway!

Spent 5 weeks in this huge and gorgeous condo... well-equipped and maintained, very safe for families, beautiful views, strong breezes and right on the beach. However, the sea is rough in front of the condo... Safer to walk to Cabarete for a swim or better yet, explore the wonderful beaches around Playa Grande. Lots of great places to eat within walking distance and the locals are warm and friendly. Thank you Ron and Bette for letting me share in your little slice of Paradise! Nicole

Cabarete Vacation

Just returned from Cabarete, DR one week vacation. The three bedroom penthouse condo located on the fringe of town is spacious, well appointed, and offers beautiful views of the ocean. It can accommodate six adults with ease. The early morning sunrise seen from the balcony with a gentle mountain breeze passing through the unit is a daily reminder your are in a fantastic location. Minutes from center of Cabarete by car or taxi, you can shop, eat excellent local and international food and find a variety of entertainment. Restaurants on the beach by day transform into clubs at night. The beaches are clean with warm, clear blue water. Attendants at the beaches provide lounge chairs, food and drink. This was one of our best vacations and we will definitely be back.

We spent a week at the Victorian in Nov.2010 and loved it. Our unit was in great shape, right on the beach, and with the pool directly below. Views, breezes, and patio sitting are features of this place. Cabarete has plenty of fun and interesting things to do both day and night. Easy access to Monkey Jungle (zip lines), 27 Waterfalls, Sosua beach - lots to see and do. This was a very unique vacation and one that we would take again. The Victorian itself has a fence and gate but does NOT feel like some insular resort campus. We would energetically recommend it to anyone asking.

Cabarete and the Condo were spectacular! It was luxurious and comfortable, and the views were amazing! We had a great trip, I just wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely recommend this condo for anyone looking to travel to the Dominican Republic.

I stayed at the penthouse this November and had an amazing vacation. The amenities, location and views were all top notch. The photos don't even do it justice! The rooms were clean, impeccably maintained, and well above the 5-star rating. I came for an adults-only week, but I would not hesitate to bring my kids next time. You could easily be right down at the incredible pool or hot tub with your children or have a monitor plugged in while they napped just upstairs... and the beautiful beach is just steps from the pool. We had a rental car and traveled all over the Northeast Coast - from shopping at Sosua beach markets to massages on Playa Grande to jumping off the cliffs at 27 Waterfalls. It was an incredible vacation that I will never forget. I highly recommend this property! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the wonderful owners!

I had the distinct pleasure of spending a week at this property. The penthouse is huge, well maintained, and has fantastic views! It is also located really close to the town so you have the benefit of being on your own beach yet being close enough to the town for restaurants and shopping. It really was a great place and value for a vacation. I'm looking forward to going back again!

2 Weeks of fun and sun!!

Another great time in Cabarete!! The condo was amazing and beautiful as always!! Love this place, brought 3 girl friends down for a week and then my family and good friends joined me the 2nd week. The first week was an adult only week and we had so much fun, we went to PlayaGrande ate 2.5 lb lobster ocean side, went to the waterfalls and jumped off ledges 30 ft in the air into the most beautiful fresh water imaginable!! Sosua was such a hit we went 2x, and of course the dinners each night were amazing!! The 2nd week we went to the ne MOnkey Jungle and did the zip lines, and also went to the falls again with our 8-11 year old children who also jumped off the same ledges!! Playa Calatone was again picturesque with great snorkeling!! We went to Bologna's in Sosua for dinner both weeks and had a wonderful Italian dinner with an awesome wine selection!! This is such an amazing place!!

We stayed in this fabulous condo over Christmas and New Years--6 family members. It is so well set up and well stocked and easy to do meals in when desired. If interested, TVs are in most rooms and now there is Wi-Fi! It has beautiful spaces, large bedrooms and inside areas. The decks are protected, huge, with beautiful furniture for lounging and a large table for dining. From these penthouse decks are amazing unobstructed vistas overlooking the pool and the beach. The beach is gentle, but fun waves in which to play and board. And when you are here, you are close to where you want to be: an easy walk down the beach to Cabarete and many restaurants and other entertainment and shopping. And thanks to the owner, Ron, who provided SO much information to us before and even during our time there! I hope we get a chance to go back.

We stayed here in June 2009 and just LOVED it. The condo is just beautifully appointed and so very comfortable and the views are magnificient.Just steps to the pool and beach. Fabulous location. The Victorian is so beautiful - our place was modern, clean and a luxury. Views are spectacular and the pool and beach are just steps away. We absolutely loved Cabarete - Kite Boarding, Gorgeous Beaches and friendly locals. We stayed with another family so there were 4 adults and 4 children and we still had plenty of room for more! We had the best time again!! This vacation was for 2 weeks and we could have stayed longer. We brought our friends down with their kids (5,8) and our kids (7,10) and never ran out of adventures!! The food was spectacular from the kite beach shack to Blush (fancy french resturant). My 10 year old daughter learned to Kite board as well as my 41 year old friend who vacationed with us. There is so much to do for everyone, can't wait to return to this beautiful condo and fantastic beach town!!

Our family of 5 stayed in this beautiful condo April 3 - 11, 2009. Right from the start Ron was a pleasure to work with, giving lots of helpful information and advice. The condo is beautiful, with lovely furnishings and an outstanding view. Lovely deck area for sitting outside and enjoying the view. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready to go. Just a very short drive into town. The beach and pool were wonderful for the kids. Outstanding! Would not hesitate to go back.

We stayed here last April and loved it. The place is stunning, much bigger than I expected, and the views amazing. It's about a minute drive outside of the main part of the town where the restaurants are, which makes it a lot more "tranquilo". The pool is great for kids. Highly recommend.

We just returned to San Francisco (sadly -- we already miss The Victorian and Cabarete). I put The Victorian key in the mail today. The housekeeper/staff gave us a second key when we arrived and we gave that back to them, paid for groceries, etc. Again, we had a fantastic time and can't say enough positive things about your place at The Victorian. We love it! We certainly would've stayed longer if not for our dear friends' wedding in Puerto Rico. Thanks for everything, and I'm sure we'll be back again. Nicole and Richard

We just returned from a wonderful week's vacation in the Dominican Republic! We traveled with my 2 daughters (ages 3 and 4 yrs) and another family with 2 toddler daughters, also. The Condo was spacious, beautiful and well- equipped, easily accomodating 2 families. The weather was beautiful, warm, with a delightful breeze (constant!) The staff at the condo was very accomodating and the trip was both fun and relaxing. The adults and kiddos all had a fabulous time! Would highly recommend The Victorian and DR for future vacations!

We stayed at this condo (Victorian N3) for 7 days and found it truely wonderful. Everything was perfect, the kitchen was so well equipped, we even created several gourmet meals instead of eating out. The view from the huge balcony was unbelievable, we loved watching the surf and the kite boarders while having cocktails. Our evry comfort was seen to by the efficient property manager and her staff. We give this place our top recommendation and look forward to returning Joanne K.

What an amazing place! We could not have asked for better accomodations for us and our 2 small girls (ages 8 and 5). It was a perfect location, great view, great pool and very safe. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a true vacation away from the hustle and bustle of a "canned" resort. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed with another couple and found the place very spacious. There was room enough for a third couple and never interfere with each other. The ocean was in full view from the spacious living room, dining room and kitchen. The atmosphere is bright and airy with lots of windows. We lived on the porch that runs the width of the building. We loved the shaded refuge, with a full view of the pool and beach. I loved the breeze that came in when we opened the large slideing doors onto the porch. It was more a window wall that opened, than a sliding door. We would go back again. Good get away spot!

We stayed over the holidays and loved the place. It's huge, and very well-appointed. We loved sitting on the veranda all the time -- fantastic 180 degree view of the ocean. The location was also great: just far enough outside of the chaos of the town center for quiet, but close to walk. Great place overall!!

AMAZING is the only word I can use to describe this condo and location in Cabarete! I visited with my sister, 2 teenage daughters and 2 teenage friends in April of 2008 and had the greatest experience!! Why any one would ever go to the Dominican and stay locked in a resort, instead of staying in this wonderful condo and town is beyond me. The condo itself is spectacular. Upon opening the door and entering, all the teenage girls yelled “ Oh My God!!” one actually said, “ I feel like I am on the show “ Cribs”! (You need to see the show to understand that one!) It really is breathtaking with incredible views right on the beach & the pool just below! The pictures don’t do it justice!! The condo is just far enough from the center of town to be quiet at night (and allow me to keep tabs on 4 teenagers!) but close enough to walk down for the fun and night life along the beach! Ron and his wife were awesome emailing us all the details about vacationing in the Dominican, where to shop and fun things to do . We hooked up with “ Wilson” on Ron’s recommendation for a great river tour, and then a private full day tour in a van with lunch cooked on a beach of fresh fish, rice and Pina Coladas served in the Pineapple ! It was amazing! The staff at Ocean Manor, the resort right next door were great as well. We walked over almost every night for cocktails in the open-air bar, meeting the guests and even dancing with the staff! What a great time! If anyone ever tells you to stay in a resort when you go to the Dominican, think again! Staying in this spectacular condo with the personal information and tips from Ron and his wife, will allow you to experience the Dominican as it should be experienced, and learn about the people and the culture. The beach restaurants and nightlife in Cabarete are incredible and more than enough to keep the teens and young adults entertained at night!! Windsurfing and Kite boarding and Mountain Bike tours are right outside your door! We always felt safe in the whole area! Ron has my number… if you have any doubts I have no problem giving a personal recommendation!! I only have 3000 words to write here and I could say so much more!! Incredible condo, incredible town, and incredibly nice people to rent from…. Sign up, you wont regret it!! My family will most definitely be returning!Maureen from Vermont
