Mark & Wynne, This is our THIRD stay & it was amazing. Snowed the first few days here & then it was just beautiful the rest of the week. Spent our time snowboarding at Wolf Creek, huddled around the wood stove or cooking :-) Your home always brings peace; it has a real sense of calmness with no TV. We are already sad to leave this mountain haven. Cannot wait until our next vacation.

Mark & Wynne, This is our 2nd time here at your beautiful home, and once again we had an incredible time. The wood stove is one of our favorite gathering spots to sit and talk. We cooked countless meals in the kitchen: tacos, chili, roasted chicen, etc. Spent most of our time snowbarding. The rest of our time was spent relaxing at the house. We've always loved that there is no TV!! Really a great escape from the every day :) We hope to return soon.

Wynne & Mark, Thanks for the hospitality. The home was wonderful. We knew we landed in the right spot when we saw the bottle of "V Sattui" '97. We were married at V Sattui in '98! Snow was sonderful, ski, hot tub, local movie theatre and Breckenridge beer a must! Thank you!

Excellent home! This was exactly what I was looking for: 1) no front desk 2) no noisy neighbors 3) 2 car garage If you want to get away, then this is the place to be. Nothing feels better than coming home to a warm inviting log cabin with a roaring fire and a game of chess.

Dear Wynne & Mark, You have such a lovely home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The snow was great at Wolf Creek and the skiing better every day as the crowds dissipated. The master bedroom is gorgeous! I felt very spoiled (my birthday was on the ****). My husband and I brought our daughter, my husband's brother and his 2 daughters on the trip. Wynne & Mark, What an incredible week it has been! From gliding on cross country skis on West Fork and Turkey Springs routes, to regaining confidence downhill skiing on perfectly powdery snow at Wolf Creek (like floating on top of whipped cream!), multiple days of soaking in the healing mineral waters, and getting a relaxing massage, to finding an enormous frozen and splendidly green waterfall on Piedra River - all in the company of cherished loved ones. What wonderful food we made in your beautiful home, and ate out at Pagosa Bakery, Kip's, and the Ajia Asian restaurant! I loved the yoga, playing games and laughing together in this wonderfully TV-free house! Thank you so very much! My birthday week was SUPERB!

Wynne & Mark, We had an absolutely amazing time staying in the "Home of Warmth & Light." The name truly fits! We spent most of our time here snowboarding, playing in the snow in the backyard or huddled around the wood stove. We would all love to return & hopefully stay LONGER (5 nights weren't enough.) :<)

Wynne and Mark, I'm so glad that we were able to stay here, although I wish we could have stayed longer! Didn't you warn us about that? Aye! We hiked to Opal Lake and Piedra Falls where Iain hooked into 3 beautiful Rio Grande Cutthroats! They were in full spawning colors, their bellies a brilliant orange the color of sunset. Our trip to Pagosa Springs has been great! The primitive hotsprings on Piedra River was the best hike. Took a pottery class for $10.00 at Estudio y Galeria (1501-1 W Hwy 160). It was so much fun, and my pots came out great. We had a soak at the Overlook Spa and dinner was best at Alley House Grill. Thanks! from Dallas, TX

Wynne & Mark, We very much enjoyed our stay at your home last weekend. Everything about our stay was enjoyable and the house was clean and comfortable for us. We enjoyed the location and your peaceful neighborhood. The extra efforts you've taken to provide recycling, energy efficient lighting and appliances, and Trader Joe's soaps were all appreciated. The weather was a bit cool on Sunday night, so we lit a fire and were pleasantly surprised at how long the wood burned. Is your wood pile walnut or oak? (It's oak.) The folk & bluegrass festival was very good, as it is every year. The Folk West people are all so friendly and we had an good time seeing some very good bands and accomplished musicians. We've been to Telluride Bluegrass, Rockygrass, Teton Bluegrass and many others, but we really enjoy the location and atmosphere at the Pagasa festival; highly recommend spending the weekend at the festival if you have the chance. We'll keep your place in mind when we plan our next ski trip to Wolf Creek. Thank you again.

We had an excellent stay at PHWL. During our stay, my two girls learned to ski at Wolf Creek and went sledding. We didn't have the chance to visit the hot springs this go-around but had fun making holiday cookies instead. I love the relaxing stay at Pagosa Home of Warmth & Light and will return for my next family ski vacation. I especially enjoyed the high quality beds/bedding and the "un-plugged", all- natural, eco-friendly environment of the house. The tankless-water heater worked well. Thanks again and happy holidays!

My friends and I stayed at the PHW&L guys ski trip at the beginning of January. What a great house!!! Top notch all the way around. I'm not sure is I went to bed early because I was exhausted from epic skiing or because the beds were so incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend. One jacuzzi away from perfect.
