Our home is located directly on Schuss Mountain within minuets of Shanty Creek’s world class Legend golf course and the Cedar River’s Tom Weiskopf designed course. Mother Nature can be very kind and dump lots of snow on the drive and local roads. This is truly ski-in, ski-out; during the ski season 4WD is HIGHLY recommended, if not required.
Three story, luxury log home built on a private, wooded hillside located directly on Schuss Mountain within the Shanty Creek Resort; only minutes from either The Summit or Cedar River Villages. The home has four bedrooms, a huge loft, and three-and-a-half baths, easily accommodating 16-18 people. Enjoy the huge upper level master suite with 2-person Jacuzzi tub.
Both the main level (two bedrooms and 1 & 1/2 baths) and the upper level master and loft sleep 6 each. The amazing lower level with 10 foot ceilings and knotty pine walls sleeps 8 in one bedroom, living room with futon and two sleeper couches, small second kitchen, and bath with Jacuzzi tub. The separate levels make this the perfect lodging for two or three families. The open floorplan on the main level with vaulted living room, and natural wood fireplace creates a warm and comfortable space for gathering. Relax after golfing or skiing in our private six-person hot tub below the large wrap-around deck overlooking the Chicken’s Choice ski run.

This house is a great find! I had never experienced ski in/ski out before and now wouldn't want anything less! It was so convenient and less stressful than packing everyone AND all the equipment in the SUV each day. The house is beautifully maintained and was clean and ready for our arrival. We were already talking about a return trip before we even left. Don't change a thing!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Location, Location, Location. You cannot beat a ski in/ski out house of any kind but this one goes above and beyond. This luxury log cabin is amazing and provides more than the comforts of home. Heated floors, modern kitchen, a great fireplace, what more could you expect? What's more is the fire pit and outdoor hot tub in the yard! Amazing house. Any premium you pay in price compared to other non slope slide rentals is easily recovered by never having to go into the ski lodge for meals, refreshments, or warm ups of any kind. Rent it, you'll never regret it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This was the best ski home we have ever rented. As it's located directly on the ski hill the non-skiers in our group could hang out in the hot tub, on the large deck, or at the fire pit and watch the skiers schuss by on Chicken's Choice ski run. The open layout was great for our extended family group. Not the least expensive option... but certainly the BEST home we've ever rented.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
