No matter what the season is, this estate is magical. Come in the spring and you will be astonished at the color and wide variety of life as the earth warms and re-awakens. Or best of all, come in the winter for x-country skiing, snow-shoeing, snow-mobiling, superb downhill skiing, sledding, skating, and cozy fireside gatherings.

There is even a guest cabin and also Treetop Manor: a secret and elaborate secret treehouse! Best of all, everything you need is nearby: groceries, shopping, movies, theater, dining, skiing, swimming, etc.

This estate is in an ideal and central location - Boston is only 90 minutes away, as are the New Hampshire White Mountains. Manchester Boston Regional Airport (code "MHT") is less than an hour away! New York City is a 4 hour ride. Perfect for foreigners who want to explore New England.

It doesn't get any better than this. Spacious, comfortable property and the location is incredible. Pictures don't come near the true beauty of the property. Definitely coming back.

Everything was excelent! The gps got us pretty far, had a few places we weren't sure where to turn, but we also were driving in the dark. The friends who drove during the day found the house with no problems, thanks to the signs on the trees:) Only problem we had was the hot tub wasn't working, but we still enjoyed our selves lighting the fireplace watching the sunset and just hanging out relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again. Maybe when its a little warmer so we can hike around the beautiful grounds. Thank you again for our great stay and the great communication.

Wedding at Cobb Hill

Guest: drstrangehat (Acton, MA)
Date of Stay: 08/12/10 Review Submitted: 10/13/10

We had our wedding at Cobb Hill Estate in August, and without a doubt it was the best decision we could have made. The location and scenery made for an event that most, if not all, of our guests called "the best wedding ever." The 270 degree panoramic view of the Worcester Hills, Berkshires, Catskills, Taconic Range and Green Mountains provides a backdrop that took our and our guests breath away. The family that owns the home and the staff that helps manage it are all incredibly professional and helpful. This is not an involved staff if you're looking for a wedding where everything is provided. They let you be during your stay and your event but are always available if ncessary, which we appreciated given the style of wedding and personal touch we wanted. This beautiful location won't be a secret for much longer.

Breathtaking views all around

Guest: Karen (Nashua, NH)
Date of Stay: 07/21/10 Review Submitted: 09/28/10

My daughter from San Francisco rented this spectacular location for the week around her wedding . We are still missing it! The peace and beauty all around made the celebration even more special. The wedding weekend was so much fun and guests often walked away from the tent to just stare out at the scene before them. Sitting on the decks enjoying the air and breeze while watching the sunsets was the best part of every day. Many who were there are talking about renting it one day. If you can pull yourself away don't miss the tour of the historic town and mills of Harrisville. Visit the Harrisville General Store for great coffee, food and local meats and vegetables. There is much to do and see in the area but it was hard to pull myself away from the estate. It's truly a place to go back to.

Perfect Wedding in a Spectacular Setting

Guest: mwel86 (Providence, RI)
Date of Stay: 08/28/09 Review Submitted: 10/21/09

We were looking for a central location for our wedding guests to travel to and Cobb Hill Estate fit the bill. The main house and wedding site are on the top of an adjacent mountain to Mount Monadnock and the view is breathtaking, with Mt. Monadnock almost appearing below the estate it is so high up. All of our wedding accomodations including tent and furniture were handled though Cobb Hill Estate except band and caterer. The site was ready to go when we arrived. Lots of parking which was a problem in some of the other locations we looked at. We also rented the nearby carriage house to accomodate extra guests. Everyone loved the ceremony location and setting framed by the mountain in a natural amphitheater with the white wooden arbor. It made for perfect photos. We will always remember this special day and hope to return some day in the future.

Family Gathering

Guest: Katheline (New Hampshire)
Date of Stay: 07/31/09 Review Submitted: 08/19/09

Our stay at Cobb Hill was on the occasion of a family wedding in a nearby town and shortly after the birth of two grandchildren - coupled with a rare visit from out-of-country relatives. We cannot imagine a better place to have gathered and spent time together. The house was certainly spacious enough to accommodate this extended family yet still provide privacy for each. Mount Monadnock was a spectacular presence, the view changing with each day's new weather. Hiking the grounds, exploring the woods, climbing Monadnock and coming back together each evening in this comfortable, welcoming place was a real gift. Our rooms were clean and readied, it was very easy to move into the kitchen and prepare meals, the area is a gem to explore. The owners kindly addressed my many questions before our stay and there was information provided for us at the house. Our time at Cobb Hill will be a fond memory for this family for a long time to come.

A magical place for young and old alike!!

Guest: Benjamin P and Family (Bennington, VT)
Date of Stay: 08/08/08 Review Submitted: 12/12/08

When we rented the property we had no idea it would be so spectacular! We chose it because it was centrally located for us (we had a family reunion) and everyone had the time of their life. Treetop Manor was a favorite for the kids, and everyone loved seeing the heard of goats, the flock of sheep, and feeding the llama. Our only problem, though, was leaving - everyone wanted to stay for another week. We plan on renting it once a year from now for our future annual reunions.

Breathtaking views and and perfect accomodations

Guest: Jonathan S. (Amherst, MA, USA)
Date of Stay: 10/13/08 Review Submitted: 11/19/08

We rented the Cobb Hill Estate for our 3 day corporate retreat. The property was much more beautiful than any of the pictures on the website. The sweeping views were magnificent, and it was the perfect place to get away from our daily routines and really be creative. There were LOTS of beds, a great kichen, and we especially enjoyed "creative sessions" in the hot tub. Oh...and the hiking trails were fantastic!
