Great location to ski at Vail

Our family stayed here for a ski trip to Vail. It was great value to stay out of the town of Vail and the free bus service made it very easy to travel. The condo is a short walk to the bus stop so with young children allow 10 mins to walk with ski equipment. There are lockers at the transport center where the bus arrives but the tall ones for skis are likely to be taken for the season. The smaller ones are useful for ski boots, helmets etc. I think it was 4 quarters a day. The bus is always on time and we rarely had to stand. Once at the transport station you need to hop onto the local bus or walk to the slope of Vail Village (but it's a little far in ski boots). The quickest way is to get off the local bus at Golden Peak as the bus stops just at the base of the slope there. We also went to Lionshead to take a trip on the gondola. The washer and dryer are coin operated and in the adjacent building. It was close enough to not be any trouble. The internet was in fact the local network which was free for just an hour a day. This was not ideal and was slow so we ended up buying AT&T 3G for the flexibility. The beds were comfortable. The condo was clean. Plenty of spare sheets and towels and crockery/cutlery etc. There were only 3 bar stools so we couldn't sit at the counter as a family, we had kids at the counter and adults on the sofa which is not ideal for us as we like to sit together at a table. Overall great stay.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
