Our family had a wonderful experience at this Villa. The Villa was beautiful inside and out. We had no problems with ant infestation or any other insects. In fact the villa was immaculate! The cleanliness of the villa was impressive and greatly appreciated due to vacationing with our 8 month old granddaughter! The realtor was helpful in placing a crib in the villa for us and was very helpful with answering all of our questions. We hope to stay at the villa again. Thanks again!

Ant infestation, terrible customer service!

What should have been a dream vacation was completely ruined due to 1. A severe ant infestation and 2. Uncaring and completely inadequate property management. We arrived late Saturday evening and when we went to cook breakfast the following morning discovered that the kitchen was crawling with ants. We actually didn't know what they were at first as we are from Colorado and had never seen this type of insect before, but after calling the property manager it was determined that they were "sweet ants"- apparently something native to Florida. We were told not to keep any sweets out on the counter so we kept ALL food in the refrigerator for the rest of the week. We were also told on Sunday morning that the exterminator would be notified but because of Labor Day he might not make it out until Tuesday. The exterminator did not in fact make it to the property until Thursday (only 2 days left of our "vacation" at that point as were leaving first thing Saturday morning). Throughout the week, despite the fact that we kept ALL food (even boxes of crackers and microwave popcorn) in the refrigerator, cleaned the kitchen constantly, rinsed all dishes before placing them in the dishwasher, and took all trash out to the can in the driveway, the ants multiplied and were everywhere. All over the kitchen counters, in the pantry (where the cleaning crew had left an open bag of sugar and an open container of honey from the previous tenants), in the dishwasher, on the floors, on the staircase, and in the master bathroom. It was disgusting; even my 3 year old daughter was finding them everywhere and couldn't even play on the floor. We called daily trying to get an update of when the exterminator would be out to the property. During the many calls, the property manager ADMITTED that she should have visited the property the first time I called to report the problem to verify the infestation because she actually had spray in her office she could have used to kill them! Instead, our entire week was ruined by the fact that the "luxury" home we rented was crawling with disgusting little ants, the property manager was uncaring and even extremely rude at times, and the battle continues today over a month later. We have filed a formal complaint with a popular consumer protection agency (not allowed to name but it's 3 letters repeated), and posted video of the ants on a popular video sharing website listed under "ant infestation" and the name of the Realtor.Do not rent here!

Owner response:This upscale property takes pride in its immaculate condition & proven track record. There is no way this upscale property could be rented if it was infested with bugs or ants. When a problem or concern is reported it is taken care of imediately. We received a report that on 1st night donuts & cake was left on counter & in AM pastry was covered with little black bugs. If ants were reported, we coluld have treated them that Sunday but told they were not ants, we wanted a professional pest control Co.to treat this unknown insect. It was Labor Day holiday, we could not call for appointment until Tuesday. Tenant was OK with that. We were never told about any infestation until 4 days later when we were asked to refund the rent or move tenant to another house. Within 24 hours, another pool home was ready for move in. When Tenant was told a house was ready we got a negative reply, tenant only wanted a refund. We have a written statement from tenant who vacated the AM this tenant arrived which states "We had a wonderful stay. The property was spotless. At no time did we encounter any ants whatsoever". We have a written statement from the cleaning person who cleaned before and after this tenant "I always report anything out of the ordinary to Dur-Rich Realty, I thoroughly cleaned the kitchen counter tops, cabinets, oven, microwave, floor, sink, refrigerator & loaded & unloaded dishwasher, found no insects of any kind nor did I find any insects through the rest of house". The Exterminatior was asked to write a report as to what was found in the kitchen when servicing this house. "Could not find ants in Kitchen or bath area. Service the whole place 1 1/2 hours. There no ants at that time". We were told if we did not give a refund, tenant would post a scathing review on Homeaway.com including links to video footage of the ants, we have a youtube account already set up, we will also be filing a formal complaint against Durich Realty with - - -and will be calling on some legal contact I have in the industry to pursue further action. At this point Dur-Rich Realty felt this complaint was nothing more then an attempt to extort a Refund. Tenant then said (new story) an open jar of honey & sugar was left in pantry, she put it in garbage at end of the driveway (where green garbage container is located for garbage pickup). In viewing video, green garbage container w/garbage is now in the garage where ants/bugs could get into foyer as shown in video.

my family of eight, which consisted of five adults and three children vacationed at the "enclave" in July of 2010. the villa far exceeded our expectations. it offers all the amenities of home and much more. there was more than enough space to accommodate us all. we expecially enjoyed the private pool and spa. Although the property is not directly located on the beach, it is less than 100 ft away. it is merely across a very small road which offeres a private entrance to the beach. it felt as if it were our own private beach, we were never met by more than a family or two. the beach is beautiful. at times we were able to see cruise ships departing from cape canaveral. the ciy of Cocoa offers a lot of interresting sites and recreational activities for the family. the locals are very friendly. the villa is an hour away from all the Disney parks. the entire commute consists of highway miles in which you can maintain a consistant speed of 70 mph with no congestion. we would definitly stay here again.

we vacationed at the "Enclave" in Cocoa for eight days in july 2010. our family consisted of; five adults and three children. there was more than enough space to accommodate us all. the villa exceeded our expectations. it was beautiful. the villa offers all the amenities of home and more. One of the main reasons why we choose this location was the proximity to the beach. although the property is not directly located on the beach, it is less than 100 ft. from it. it is literally across a small road which offers your own private entrance to the beach. if you are a beach enthusiast, you could not have chosen a better location. at no time did i go to the beach and was met by more than a family or two besides ours. it felt as if it was our own private beach. it was especially nice to come home from a long day on the beach and enjoy the hot tub. the private pool was definitly enjoyed by the children. the villa is an hour drive to all the disney parks. this was not a bad drive because it is all highway (with a speed limit of 70). during your lazy days spent by the beach, do not forget to explore all the wonderful sights to be enjoyed right in Cocoa. the locals are very friendly. My family truely enjoyed this trip. i would highly recommend the villa at the enclave and may consider taking a second trip myself.

Cocoa Beach Villa review

We rented this outstanding Villa for celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. The Villa was all we expected and more. Upon arrival we found it spotless and ready for us. It is beautifully decorated with an amazing open feeling. There was lots of room for 8 of us with privacy when needed. Every amenity listed in the rental information was provided with an elevator as listed. The outside private pool was enjoyed by all plus the beach equipment was perfect. The walk to the beach was a short distance and umbrellas, sand toys, and beach towels are there for use. The villa is in a quiet location but not close to stores. Everyone agreed this was the best vacation ever and we all felt at home and very pampered. We hope to return someday and highly recommend the Villa for a wonderful family get away. The owner was most cordial and helpful and was available to us all week if the need arose.

Beach Vacation Beauty

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. I would recommend staying here to anyone who is looking for a private house with a pool so close to the beach. Everything was well taken care of and very clean...it was truly an enjoyable vacation! We will be back- Thank you!

Florida Dreaming

This was positively one of the nicest places we have ever vacationed at. The photos do not do it justice. I doubt that half a dozen images from any photographer could capture the grandeur of this luxury vacation destination. The Villa is spacious and wonderfully decorated. It is located on a private block with gate access so the street is quiet and there is no problem with the kids out front. The patio has a nice high privacy style wall around it. There is a Jacuzzi and heated pool. Lots of chairs for suntanning and even a covered area for those that want to stay out of the sun. An outdoor shower allows you to clean up if you have been out to the beach or ocean. The bedrooms are big. Even the smallest one would be large enough for a king size bed and dresser. Six people would be very comfortable, eight would still have no problems. The walk in showers are in all the baths. The King suite has a large shower and a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. The bar will seat five or six people for meals plus the breakfast nook and dining room tables. The Great room has the fireplace, couch and a big TV. Not to mention the two story ceiling. A balcony from the second floor overlooks the Great room. There is a study that even has a computer, printer and internet access. The elevator is a blessing for moving your luggage upstairs or just for those that prefer not to use the beautiful hardwood staircase. Within minutes drive there was all the shopping you could need plus lots of great places to eat. 20 minutes to the Port or Kennedy Space Center. About an hour to Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World and others that I can't remember. I have already told my friends and relative that this is the place to go on Florida's East Coast.

Cocoa Beach Vacation

This Villa was absolutely beautiful. The decor and layout of the unit was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Having the elevator in the unit was fabulous as one of the individuals traveling with us was not able to manage stairs. The owner was wonderful to work with and immediately addressed any questions and concerns we had. The unit is very close to the beach (1/2 block away) and many attractions and restaurants. We had a wonderful time! I would highly recommend this villa to anyone staying in the Cocoa Beach area.

Our experience at the Enclave

I rented this home for our stay at Cocoa Beach and it is an absolutely beautiful home. The pictures hardly does it justice. The accommodations met our expectations and some. The home is very spacious, well decorated, and had all the ammenities we needed. My boys loved the pool. We were able to have a barbecue outside by the pool for my husband's birthday. I spent a few mornings on the balcony outside the master bedroom for my tranquille regrouping. If we needed anything, Judith was just a phone call away. I love the safety and security of the gated home away from home! I highly recommend staying at this home. In fact, if I'm ever in Cocoa Beach for a week again, I will definitely look to stay at the Enclave. P.S. you have to try the pizza place down the street called Memo's. The pizza there is delicious!
