The Glacier Ridge Lodge is a luxurious private residence designed for casual entertaining and located to provide convenient access to town and the slopes. The free shuttle system, which takes you to all base areas as well as around town, is approximately 150 yards away. Down town is within walking distance, with breathtaking views of the town of Breckenridge with Mount Baldy towering over the town, most of the way. If you want to ski to the new gondola, with direct access to peak 8, just walk a short distance, put on your skis, and glide up to this fantastic new lift. The Nordic center, with its cross country trail system, is a short walk-winter recreation.
Being near a shuttle stop is a great convenience for your entire party. No more coordinating of schedules for rides. Just park your car and forget it during your stay.
Glacier Ridge has a special setting. Perched on a ridge, you can enjoy a quiet valley from your sun-splashed back deck, with views of the town of Breckenridge and snow-capped peaks. Enjoy the morning sun from the kitchen, breakfast nook, the family room, and the master bath.
The interior of Glacier Ridge Lodge is full of mountain charm. A vaulted ceiling in the living room with a stone floor to ceiling fireplace as its centerpiece, greets you as enter through the front door. The gourmet kitchen has custom cabinetry, granite slab counter tops, and professional-grade appliances. Especially nice is the intimate breakfast nook overlooking the valley and Mount Baldy. There is a powder room on the main floor for convenience.
The six bedrooms sleep 16 comfortably. Upstairs is a queen suite with private bath, and two other bedrooms (queen, 2 full beds) with a shared bath. On the main floor is the master suite (king), a den, a family room with wet bar and TV, and a garage besides the other rooms already mentioned. The lower level, besides the wine room and theater , has full laundry facilities and two other bedroom suites, each with full baths (king plus sofa/queen sleeper, queen sofa/sleeper). There are numerous sitting areas throughout the house here you can enjoy a book from the library, or catch up on your email using the free wireless high speed internet.
