What a find! An utterly quiet 3rd floor apartment, 400 years old and recently renovated, beautifully decorated (it's our place, too, not just a rental), only 10 minutes walk from the Louvre, in the nicer side of the 2nd arrond. Modernized kitchen, fully stocked; exposed beams; warm luxury in every room; 2 full bathrooms (rare in central Paris in the smaller places); 2 floors, so the 2 bedrooms are far apart (ensuring privacy); wireless internet, DVD; oriental rugs; antiques; an elevator.

This is a charming and very comfortable place - and unusually quiet (one reason we chose it!) for central Paris. A 3-minute walk to 2 different metro stops, near Opera.

A caution: the stairs up to the master bedroom are a bit steep. Not suited for frail or very young people.
