Hi all you snow lovers!
I am smelling hints of winter in the air and seeing a bit of gold on the mountainside out here in Vail Colorado.
2 ways to save money and get more time making turns in Vail this year!
1st - Vail is doing the Epic pass for the second year! So it is around $100 for a day pass out here in Vail... well last year Vail introduced the Epic Pass. The Epic Pass is $599!! Unlimited and unrestricted! Come out in the early season and in the spring and save a ton on your lift ticket!! The more you ski the more you save
2nd - Lodging in Vail is getting out of control! They are working on their Billion Dollar renovation and some hotel rooms can go for $1k per night!! That is crazy!!!! Why not save yourself that 1k and get some new skis by renting a private condo for less than a 1/3 of that cost!!! Sure it make take you about 15 minutes to go from your bedroom to clicking in at the base of the mountain but you can still have all the same luxuries... Turkish Spa Towels, Private Hot Tub, Free WIFI, Flatscreen, Fireplace, Egyptian Cotton Sheets, and a washer & dryer!! Expect to pay $200-$360 for a plush pad to crash at after a epic day on the mountain!

I really enjoy the active lifestyle and beauty that is found here in Vail Colorado. I moved here to spend a winter 12 years ago and am still... here. The activities, people, and lifestyle never gets old. Everyday is a new and exciting adventure!
Cheers,
Michael
Vail is epic for outdoor adventure, culture, and comfortable mountain living. I purchased this vacation rental because it is a newer building, private location, and convenience to the free bus and town. The ceilings are tall, the private hot tub is right outside the door, and the decor is clean, comfortable, and 'mountain retro'.
Relax your body in the comfort of the private hot tub right outside the door. Turn on the fireplace to set a warm relaxing mood, put a DVD in and curl up on the corner sofa with someone special or plug in your ipod or Mac Computer and listen to relaxing music on the wireless airport express speaker system.
In the morning grind batch of fresh Vail Mountain Coffee and fill the french press... while the coffee is brewing take a quick walk up to the bus stop and pick up the Vail Daily or Mountaineer newspaper.
In the winter on a powder day you can be out of bed, to the bus, and on the slopes in less than 20 minutes. The great plus about our bus stop besides being so close is the fact that in the winter two bus routes use the Simba Run bus stop.
In the summer take a bike into the Vail Village or walk into Lions Head village to watch the outdoor concerts and snack your way through the farmers market on the weekend.
When you stay in our vacation rental you will feel right at home. From the thick spa towels, to a well stocked kitchen, to the Egyptian cotton sheets. There is so much I could list and stay... you will just have to experience this place for yourself. A lot of love has gone into making this cute little condo a special place to stay while enjoying all the great experiences found in and around Vail.
