Bodega Bay’s ship channel which you can view from the comfort of our living room and kitchen windows leads to the open ocean past Seal Rock, Bodega Head and the University of California's Bodega Marine Lab. All of the above is a 2 minute drive from our front door. You can watch the Fishing Boats offshore, observe Grey Whales, Seals, Dolphins and many species of local and migrating Coastal Birds.
This beautiful, 1650-square-foot, custom home was built on Bodega Bay in 2001. Stunning bay views from the Master bedroom, Great room, Dining room, Kitchen and Hot tub. Fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, custom birch cabinets with large pantry, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and tile floors. Each bedroom has its own TV/DVD.
Great room has a beachrock faced propane fireplace, large leather couch, TV with DVD, and internet wireless access. Children go first class, too! We supply toys, puzzles, art supplies, games, and videos.
This gated mini-estate is surrounded by a lush and beautiful whimsical garden full of exotic plants and designer landscaping. The garden and sitting area is adjacent to the big play area with basketball court.
There is plenty of room to park your car and boat outside the front gates. This home is fully fenced and gated around the entire property. Front gates are permanently locked for the safety of our children and play area.

This home is lovely and furnished quite nicely. However, the "stunning bay views" described on the listing are virtually obscured by a large RV campground that runs along the back of the house acting as a barrier between the home and the water. We were not prepared for this unattractive sight. The kitchen is well stocked with a nice variety of cookware and tableware, but essentials such as foil, plastic wrap, plastic sandwich bags, and coffee filters are not provided. We've rented other homes on VRBO and have never encountered this situation. As a courtesy, it seems that the owner should notify renters in advance to bring these items. (Better yet, charge a few dollars more per night, and provide this stuff.) Finally, several days before our arrival, the owner notified us that the clothes dryer was broken. She recommended that we either pack extra clothes or use the public laundrymat. She offered to reimburse us our cost if we used the laundrymat. Neither option appealed to us. Despite the broken clothes dryer, there were only 8 towels in the house for 6 people to use over a 4 day stretch, and this was supposed to cover us for showers and the hot tub. We contacted the owner and she did make arrangements to have extra towels provided the next day, but overall, we were disappointed with how this was handled.

We found your place and it was perfect for our needs. We attended the Oyster Fog Fest at the Rocker Oysterfeller/Valley Ford Hotel in Valley Ford, CA and it was only a few miles from where my son and his girlfriend were visiting her sister and her husband who own/operate the business there in Valley Ford. We had a blast! The home is so peaceful and such a great location. I arrived back home in Texas and am in the process of gathering the women in my family to come back in the spring of next year! My girlfriends and I enjoyed 3 days of some much needed girl time at the Gem of the Harbor. The house is beautiful & the outdoor garden of flowers is amazing. It's fully equipped, plenty of room for us; would accomodate two families nicely. Coffee/shops were a short walk away, the beach was within a mile or so. Loved the hot tub - very relaxing! We will definitely be back!

My family + grandparents had a great 3 days/3 nights at the Gem of the Harbor. The house is well equiped (games, DVD's, kitchen/cooking utensils) and finished with high quality appliances and equipment. Location is great - just a short 15 min walk to coffee, a cafe and then the rest of Bodega Bay. From hear you can strike great beaches north on Hwy 1 or Doran Beach on the south side of town. As a family who suffers with allergies it was great to have none at the house! Will mark this one to come back to!

We stayed at Gem of the Harbor for a week in mid-June and had a fabulous time with family. The location, amenities, and comforts of this house were excellent, and for the price, it may just be impossible to beat in Bodega. Can't wait to come back!
