Welcome to The Ridge at Wai'ula'ula at the Mauna Kea Resort. Special rate through the end of November: $375/night plus Hawaii taxes and a cleaning fee. Includes 2 Hotel Amenity Guest cards which give you access to the Mauna Kea Resort, hotels and beaches. The gated and luxurious condominium homes are perfect for a family vacation and are located on the mountain side of the Mauna Kea Resort on the Kohala coast. Our condominium is part of a 4-plex which opens to the amazing views of the Kohala mountains, Pacific Ocean and Kawaihae Harbor. Walk onto the 11th fairway of the Hapuna Beach Prince golf course from the lanai of our ground floor unit.

Wai'ula'ula's private amenities center, Hale 'Ikena, features a salt water infinity pool and hot tub, children's pool, fitness center with personal TVs, full kitchen, living area, big screen TV and 2 outdoor Wolf barbeques. We have one of the most beautiful Amenity Centers in Hawaii. Hale 'Ikena is minutes away from our unit.

Wai'ula'ula's condominium homes with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths are spacious and elegantly appointed with mahogany doors and trim, granite counters, limestone floors, dual AC, Sub-zero refrigerator, Fisher and Paykel washer and dryer, Wolf gas range and more.   • We had a wonderful 6 days at Susan and Scott's condo! The condo was perfect for our family of four plus grandparents. The 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths were perfect for our family. We loved the beautiful views and amazing sunsets. We used the BBQ grill on the lanai almost nightly and enjoyed cooking dinner in the beautiful kithcen. The amenities on-site were wonderful. We used the pool and fitness center daily. My children loved riding in the golf cart to get around the neighborhood - that was a highlight for them! We used the facilities at Hapuna Prince and Mauna Kea as well. The beaches at both were beautiful, but Mauna Kea was our family's favorite. We enjoyed great snorkeling and swimming on one of the nicest beaches on the island. Susan and Scott were extremely accomodating and made our stay on the Big Island a wonderful one. We definitely hope to be back and stay for even longer!

  • Our family of six just returned from an amazing Hawaiian vacation. We stayed in Susan and Scott's condo for 19 days. The condo is comfortable, well crafted and elegant, and the three bedrooms and bathrooms were just right for our family. We loved it, especially the ocean and mountain views from the patio and BBQs and swimming at the nearby amenity center. What a great way to end the day after playing at one of the spectacular beaches at the resort or visiting nearby towns or cultural sites or engaging in the many activities on the island. Susan was delightful to work with and went the extra mile in making sure our stay was pleasant. We hope to return before long.

  • This was our best vacation stay on the Big Island yet and we have stayed at many places over the years. The house was spacious and beautiful and the kitchen was wonderful. We all had our best nights sleep in a long time. LOVED the amenity center. LOVED the golf cart. And the location was unbeatable. Susan was so helpful with any questions we had. Taking walks, golf cart rides and the views were incredible from everywhere. We barbequed almost every evening on the great Wolf barbeque. We had the best time and wanted to stay longer. Awesome!

  • We had a wonderful vacation at Susan and Scott's condominium on the Big Island of Hawaii. We traveled from Atlanta, and when we arrived we opened the door to their beautiful, spacious, sparkling clean home with its spectacular views of the ocean, Maui, the golf course and Kohala. Bottled water and a basket of goodies were on the kitchen counter. Fresh flowers were in vases. Susan made sure that we had everything we needed. Mornings we had coffee looking out at the Pacific ocean from the comfortable outdoor lanai. Our days were spent at the ocean, pool, golf course, fitness center and hiking the ocean trail. We also explored the island--driving the scenic coastal roads and visiting Hilo, Waimea, Hawi, Volcano and lots of other interesting areas. When we returned to Wai'ula'ula at night we were amazed by the millions of stars in Hawaii's nighttime skies. Our family was so fortunate to have found the perfect condo for a perfect vacation. We highly recommend this property.

  • This is the most beautiful, well-appointed, well-equipped condo that we have ever used in 15-20 prior trips to Hawaii, including to Mauna Kea and Mauna Lani. The owner was so helpful, well-organized and communicative. The experience from beginning to end was 100% Five Star. 2 of the bedrooms and baths were so big we had difficulty determining which was the master suite. Every detail of this condominium experience was perfect. The view of the ocean and golf course is beautiful. It is so peaceful sitting on the patio, looking at the sunset followed by the stars of the clear night Hawaiian sky. Others have detailed how state of the art this condominium is and this is all very true. However, I would like to emphasize how impressed I was with the owner's attention to detail (fresh papaya and bananas on the kitchen counter, fresh ground Kona coffee), including in our communications by e-mail and by regular mail to assure that our experience was the very best. Our amenity cards arrived well in advance and the owner included helpful information on things to do on the Big Island. We can hardly wait to go back to Mauna Kea to use this beautiful condominium.

  • We just got back from The Big Island and a fabulous 6 night stay in Susan's Wai'ula'ula condo at Mauna Kea Resort. It was like staying in a 5 star resort - at half the price when you split the cost with another couple. The condo is perfect for several couples - or extended family members as all of the rooms are secluded from one another. The beds were comfortable; the sheets were soft; and the towels were luxurious! Every possible amenity is provided in the unit (including iron, ironing board, blow dryer, ice chest, beach mats and towels) and we loved being within walking distance of the fitness and pool areas - which we used nightly. The lanai of this unit is far more private than many of the other units in the community - so we felt like we were in our own little paradise. Great sunsets - great weather - and only 15 mins from Waimea so it was in the perfect location (just north of the Kona lava areas). I highly recommend this unit - and you'll find this owner a pleasure to deal with!

  • We stayed in this unit in March 2008. The unit itself was spectacular (brand new) and stocked with all the necessary kitchen items. Our family of 4 had more than enough room. We actually didn't even use the 2nd Master Bedroom and bathroom. Location was ideal. Private but only a short walk to the amenity center. The view of the Hapuna 11th hole and ocean was breathtaking. Amazing wraparound lanai for eating out or just relaxing. Our stay came with an amenity card. Therefore we were able to access the Hapuna hotel facilities and use the shuttle to get around both resorts. The unit has high speed internet access as well. Susan the owner was extremely accomodating. She even let us use her golf cart to cruise around the development and go "exploring".
