Happy Hour is a newer lake front home designed around the celebration of family and friends. It is ideal for reunions, gatherings, and the entertainment of both large and intimate groups. Happy Hour accommodates up to 30 guests in beds and is equipped with ample table seating. Located on an acre lot with more than 200 feet of private water frontage & built right on the 1044 (the lowest and closest to the lake that the Tennessee Valley Water Authority will allow).
This 8 bedroom home offers 2 full Living levels complete with a full kitchen, living room, dining area, as well as a private deck with a full outdoor furniture set and grill on each level. A 3rd walkout lower level is equipped with a game room offering foosball, air hockey, a gaming TV, and two bedrooms designed as kid friendly bunk rooms and a full bath. This 3rd level is very private and is sure to accommodate the more active evening activities, while providing tranquility to the upper two floors. The 3rd level walks out to a private deck which extends to a secluded deck with a large inviting hot tub overlooking the water.
The Covered boat dock is over sized with Trex decking and is equipped with two personal watercraft drive up docks, a water slide, and a large sunning deck with a new Tiki Bar ideal for playing at the water or just hanging out. The Main level is located on the street level with no steps to the entry. This is ideal for those wanting to avoid steps while still enjoying the breathtaking views of the water from this level.
An 18 x 32 foot Fire pit and Camping area has just been added on the waters edge. It is elevated and overlooks the water & is perfect for evening gatherings or early Spring and Fall activities. Like the rest of Happy Hour, it was designed with the group gathering/family in mind. Sharing stories with your friend/relatives around the fire or just roasting marshmallows with your grandchildren is a special experience you will remember for a lifetime. Two tent areas beyond the main gathering area are ideal for the kids to have a campout close to the house during your vacation.
The kitchen is enhanced with granite counter tops and custom Tennessee built cabinets. The majority of the main level has authentic hardwood flooring, 17 foot tall cathedral ceilings, a 50 LCD TV, a Bose iPod Sound Dock, two dining areas, a beautiful owners suite equipped with a king bed and a pull out single love seat. The owner’s bath is top of the line with a Jacuzzi type tub and tile flooring. The 2nd bedroom on the main level has a king bed and adjoins a full bath via a private entrance. This 2nd bath is also open to the great room and is a common bath. The 3rd bedroom offers a full over full bunk and a great view. The Main level deck extends the length of the home as do the other 2 levels of deck, and offers a sunning area with lounge chairs at one end and a table and chair area with a large stainless steel grill at the other.
The middle level has an open floor plan complete with a large family room with a spectacular view and a 50 inch plasma TV, as well as a 2nd full kitchen, dining area, 3 bedrooms, full bath and a laundry room with a commercial ice maker. The 4th bedroom is located on the lakeside and has a king bed and TV. The 5th bedroom offers a king bed. The 6th bedroom is set up ideally for the young family with a queen bed and a set of twin bunks with a trundle pull out bed. There is plenty of room for a Pak N Play as Happy Hour has two of them upon request.
The lower walkout level, as mentioned above, is complete with a recreation/game room and two bedrooms. The large room has two full over full bunk bed sets, and the 8th bedroom has two twin bunk sets.
Happy Hour has plenty of parking and, can accommodate up to 8 cars outside of the home, and many more in the development's auxiliary parking area. Happy Hour is conveniently located in the Lakeside Estates gated community just a few miles from I-75 and minutes from the city of La Follette. From the lake, you couldn't ask for a better location. The very popular Deerfield Resort is located just south of Lakeside Estates and around the corner from Sugar Hollow Marina, Shanghai Marina, and Springs Resort. A large group of school friends meet every year for a weekend getaway and this has been our favorite house yet. The hous is very spacious and clean with 2 well stocked kitchens. It made for a wonderful (snowy) mountain, lake getaway. In fact, we can't wait to come back in the summer and be able to use the lake!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Maggie, Thank you for your kind words about Happy Hour. It is awesome to hear you guys had a great time. Thank you for taking the time to pass on your thoughts about our home. I am glad you liked it as much as we do. Please come back and see us again! Andrew

Our 2012 fall couple’s weekend was a huge success at the Happy Hour. We were 7 couples all in our 50’s. Andrew, the owner, has been very helpful and prompt regarding all of our questions and concerns from our initial inquiry about the rental in August of 2012 to our check out on October 21, 2012. He is great to work with. The description of the house and photos are right on the money. The directions to the Happy Hour are clear and concise. It would be helpful if the county or state made the street signs to the house a little larger. Our 50 year old eyes were having a little trouble reading some of those signs, especially at night. But if the directions are followed to a tee and you take your time you won’t have any problems. It was very quiet and relaxing during our October stay. You almost felt isolated from the rest of the world. But at the same time, you are only 10-15 minutes away from the Food Lion Grocery Store. Since, this was a fall trip we were not able to enjoy the water sports. However, we did sit out on the boat dock/tiki bar, had some refreshments and relaxed. There also is a level gravel trail that runs along the lake in front of the Happy Hour. It is an easy walking trail with a lot of photo opportunities. The fall colors this time of year at the Happy Hour were awesome. With 3 floors, 3 decks, 2 kitchens and 8 bedrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The house really is complete with all you need. There also is an outside fire pit with a great view of the lake. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We ran out of time to enjoy the game room. We are past our child rearing days, but this would be a great place for parents and kids in the summertime. The kids will not be bored. We usually go someplace different every year, however, this house worked out perfect. We may be back to the Happy Hour in 2013. Thanks. The 50’s Group.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Mark, Thank you very much for taking the time to give us feedback on Happy Hour. I am very happy you all had such a great time on your trip. You guys left the house in perfect shape and we really appreciate all your feedback. Please feel free to come back anytime. We would love to have you visit again. Andrew & Dawn

I just wanted to say that we had a great time at the lake. We took a guys trip and all had a blast. Many of us guys have been to lakes all across KY, IN and TN. Norris was by far one of the best lake experiences that we have had. The house is very spacious and suited all of our needs. The dock area with tiki bar and water slide was awesome too. This is where we spent the majority of our days just hanging out and floating in the water. It was a great trip and I will definitely consider again for a family trip in the future. Thanks again!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Tony, Thank you very much for your feedback on our vacation home in Tn. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how your experience was at the house. We are happy that you found Happy Hour as much fun as we do. We look forward to your return visits in the future. Thank You Andrew

The tiki bar and dock was a great place to relax morning, noon and late night. The water was just perfect. We only left to play golf, hike the Cumberland Gap and cruise the lake. The house was comfortable and worked well for our group.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Richard, Thank you for your feedback on your stay at Happy Hour. Thank you for calling me on the slow drain in the Hall bath. Pate's Plumbing said that someone had flushed a few paper towels down and it was slowing the drain. I am happy we got that taken care of for you and appreciate the call. Thank you for leaving the house in such good shape. We look forward to having you come back and stay at Happy Hour in the future. We will have the fire pit read to go for you guys. Andrew & Dawn

Just returned home from a perfect family vacation! The accommodations at Happy Hour far exceeded our expectations! The house was beautiful - clean, comfortable and well appointed to meet the needs of 13 adults and 9 children ages 9- 1 year of age. The location was perfect - the quietness of the cove was great for the children to swim and fish and for the adults to enjoy a drink or two each evening at the tiki bar under the stars. We will be back - all agreed about wanting this to become our regular family vacation! Our 7 year old grandson cried for fifteen minutes on the way home wanting to go back! Many thanks - have already posted this to others as a great place to visit!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: Amy, Thank you very much for your feedback on our home. You guys were great to work with and we look forward to having you come back and stay at Happy Hour again in the future. P.S. The Tiki Bar under the stars is always our favorite as well!

We had a group ranging from 3 to 14. There was more than enough room for everyone with most having their own bedroom. We got our workout with the stairs, but needed it with all the extra food we were eating! Rented a boat for 3 days, fished - catching blue gills, bass and catfish - and a soft-shell turtle by accident. We saw a beaver, hummingbirds, numeorous water birds, falcons, osprey, and lots of songbirds! The kids stayed in the lake - was a little cool for me, needs to be 90+ degrees! Enjoyed the hot tub, decks, dock, visiting with family and touring the area. We went to Big Ridge and Norris Dam state parks and visited the musuems. Knoxville Zoo on the way home. The house was fully stocked for large crowd cooking with high quality/quantity cooking - multiple toasters, blenders, crock pot, etc! Recommond it for anyone wanting to have it all while getting away!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Judy, Thank you for your feedback on Happy Hour. We are blessed to have such good families like your group to stay in our home. We appreciate how you took care of it and are trilled you enjoyed it as much as we do. Thanks Again. Andrew

This place is awesome any time of the year. We have been to Happyhour three times, once in the summer, everyone had a great time and actually twice in the winter just to relax. We saw wild turkeys....deer and large fish daily. The house is very comfortable with plenty of room and it is so clean my wife actually took a bath instead of a shower, which she never does in a rental. The security gates also make us feel very safe. I have spoke to the owner a few times and he is a great guy unlike some of the other places we have stayed........... I would recommed this property to anyone looking for someplace special for just about any occasion..... a true one of a kind.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We love to hear that guests had a great time at Happy Hour. Please come back and visit again soon. Hopefully sooner than later.

Staying at the “Happy Hour” on Norris Lake in LaFollette, Tennessee was definitely exciting, invigorating, relaxing, and the perfect getaway. The two levels of open living room and kitchens felt so spacious and the furnishings were clean and very comfortable. The lower level is filled with recreational opportunities for all including air hockey, video games, cards, etc. All three levels have huge windows overlooking the picturesque lake to watch the sun set or rise along with the beautiful evening stars. It is a place that you are glad to get back to after a long day on the water swimming, boating, fishing or simply gathering with family and friends. The kitchen is definitely well equipped. You can’t ask for more…..everything promised in the listing is actually there! Plenty of seating for everyone, a wonderful gas grill, enough cooking utensils to prepare meals, coffee makers, blenders, hot tub, wonderful views; it’s all there. The decks and boat house/tiki bar provide many lounging areas for sunning, reading, and visiting with family and friends. Great idea to have the phone/walkie-talkie to be able to communicate from the boathouse up to the house. This is our second stay at Happy Hour, the first was a large group of our friends, and the second time we were with family. Both visits provided us with our most memorable vacations!! THANKS!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Four years ago our extended family started an annual tradition of a late summer / early fall extended weekend together at Norris Lake. We just completed our 2nd stay at Happy Hour. House truely sleeps 30 comfortably and is conducive to grouping the sleeping arrangements for the little ones and the older ones. The house is right on the water with excellent dock complete with seating, water slide and plenty of room for our 3 boats. Extremely convenient is the private gated community boat ramp a couple of hundred yards away. Each family within our extended family signs up to prepare and serve a meal during our stays and the two full kitchens with open floor plans on two of the levels works out great for us. Also convenient is the fact that there are two full service marinas very very close by boat as well as grocery and retail stores 30 min. or less from the house. Have found the owner of the house to be very easy to work with and willing to do everything possible to make the stay an enjoyable experience. Hope to return again and again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind review. It is great to receive positive feedback on our home. When we designed the house we hoped that we built it around the needs of large groups and mult- generational needs. I am excited you found it to work for you and come back again a second year. We look forward to seeing you in in 2012. Thank You The Gaydosh Family
