This Luxury Property…

This unit is a luxurious, new, airy, light-filled 3-BR, 2 BA ground floor end-unit villa with sophisticated tropical Asian decor, lots of windows, and all the high-tech amenities a person could possibly want!

This Gorgeous Setting …

Located on the exclusive Kohala Coast of the Big Island, Kolea at Waikoloa Beach Resort is a brand new gated condo community; it is the most luxurious condo community in Waikoloa Beach Resort, and the only development with direct beach access.

The condo is just a two minute walk to Anaeho’omalu Bay, where water sports await you: snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, kite boarding, glass bottom boat tours, sunset cruises, and of course swimming! A-Bay, as it is known by those of us who are tongue- tied, is a great beach for family fun and can't be beat for the variety of activities available and for convenience.

More adventurous? Want to ride the waves? Take a short 10 minute drive up the road to Hapuna Beach State Park and enjoy what some consider to be one of the best beaches in the United States if not the world. Go out and hop in the surf with your Boogie Board. Catch a wave under the majestic snow-capped Mauna Kea. It's an experience you will never forget!

Got a little more time? Why not take the family on a drive around the island. Hawaii is the most diverse of all the Hawaiian islands. You will never get bored! I recommend a convertible if you can all fit. It's the best way to experience all the sensations of the place, the breeze, the fragrances, the stars. Convertible! Either way you will have a blast driving along Highway 250. Take a drive up to Waimea and then cut over highway 250 to Hawi. You are above the clouds looking down on the Pacific. Bring a sweater because the altitude makes it a totally different experience from what you would expect in Hawaii. Think Switzerland with sandy beaches and volcanic rock!

Have an extra day or two? You can not miss the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! If you can swing it, stay a night down at the Volcano House lodge, overlooking the crater! The place is so awesome that you really cannot cover it in a day if you want to go for hikes in the park. On the way home you will want to stop at the waterfalls along the way. Or South Point. Or the black sand beaches. The views are spectacular the whole way!

Kolea is located between the Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel and the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel, and near the Kings Shops, and newly opened Queens Shops. Fine dining, and shopping abounds. Free entertainment and family activities, such as ukulele contests and hula lessons, are an almost daily feature at the Kings shops: be sure to pick up a calendar upon arrival. Two championship golf courses are a short drive away. Stay at our condo and you will also get the member's rate of $50 on golf at the Waikoloa Resort Kings Course and $75 at the Beach Course. And you can just use my clubs -- they are in the storage locker in front of the car park.

What a vacation! Take your family or friends or both! You will have a great time!

Why the Owner Chose Kolea

We decided to buy in Kolea because it is a great family location. Its very secluded and yet walking distance to the Kings Shops and the Queen's Market. It boasts the only beach access in Waikoloa Beach Resort and the construction of the villa's is exquisite. I am sure your family will love our place as we do.

The Unique Benefits at this Luxury Villa

The list of perks is really amazing. Basically its my second home when I am not in Tokyo so its outfitted with all the amenities you would want on a visit. I try to make it so that when you arrive you dont have to do anything. You just start vacationing. I am also a member at the Kings Golf Course and if you book the golf package you get a great rate of only $50 per round!

Owner's Map of Kolea

I am an executive working in Japan. I have lived in Japan on and off for about 20 years. I like to collect Asian Art and hence the villa in Kolea is decorated with some of my favorite pieces.

    • Kolea 11A far exceeded my expectations. The condo is huge and very well decorated and equipped. I went running every morning and managed to see most of the other complexes in Waikoloa. Kolea by far has the best location. I wouldn't consider any of the others. Our boys especially enjoyed the infinity pool where we played many games of dunk 'em. We also enjoyed the glass bottom boat cruise, snorkeling in the bay, and learning to stand up paddle.

      Homeowner Response:
We are so glad you had a great time at Kolea 11A! It truly is a great family retreat. We look forward to your next stay and invite others to join us and see for yourself the great value our villa offers.

    • We stayed at Kolea 11A in November 2008 and had a wonderful time. The pools, including the kiddie pool, were great for our young children. The unit is beautiful and had everything we needed -- golf clubs, highchair, pack-n-play, and more. We also had a great time playing golf. The owner is very nice and took the time to recommend restaurants, activities, etc. I am normally very picky about accommodations, but I have no complaints.

    • We loved 11A! It is upscale, very clean and tastefully decorated. The condo fit the six of us very comfortably - not crowded at all. 11A is an end unit, one building back from the pool and A-Bay access path – a very short walk. The lanai opens up to a grassy area where my girls had fun practicing their gymnastics. We enjoyed the barbeque on the lanai and used it whenever we ate in. We had a couple of really windy afternoons but the condo is positioned in a way that none of the wind comes in and we could actually keep the lanai doors open without being affected. We would definitely love to stay here again and will recommend it to friends & family.

    • This is THE place to be on the Big Island! Don't even think twice about staying somewhere else. Sandwiched comfortably between the Hilton and the Marriott on the Kohala Coast, you have the best of everything. We have stayed in many nice places, and this condo is definitely HIGH END. The place was immaculate upon arrival and is located one building back adjacent to the pool. The pool is perfect for adults and children alike and the keiki pool has a nice gravel sand bottom. Our daughter (3 yo) never wanted to get out. It was a bit chilly at first in the water, but when the weather heats up, you want it to be that temperature. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The place is walking distance to the Queens and Kings Shops and it is nice to have a Starbuck's closeby in the morning. Merriman's Cafe has incredible food and is very well-priced for upscale Waikaloa. There are dolphins at the HIlton and a lovely walk behind there to the Kamuela Provision Co. at sunset is so perfect. Or, stay at the condo and enjoy the peace and quiet. The room was a little loud one night since you are on the ground floor, but it isn't the Party atmosphere and people are respectful. The boogie boards, golf clubs, and bikes are so nice. The masks and snorkels are okay--you might opt for an inexpensive rental if you are going to snorkel a bit. Hapuna Beach is the place to be and a gorgeous setting. If you are going to Mauna Kea beach--get there early--we arrived at 9:20am, and the parking was already full. We headed down to Kona to snorkel one day and be aware that the volcano is causing some serious VOG. It was not nearly as clear as it was up on the Kohala Coast. And, past Mauna Kea Beach on the right hand side of the road, there is a great grill operated by a couple of locals with the best Hawi Chicken we've ever had. $8 for a half chicken, rice, and macaroni salad! As you can tell, this was the best trip and perfect weather, as well! We will be back and LOVE KOLEA!

    • We had an incredible time at this beautiful place! The owner pampered us... everything we needed for the beach was in the garage; everything we needed for the kitchen/BBQ/condo was right there -- plus surprises! Flat screen TVs (4), phones (5), high-speed internet, DVD selection, books, puzzles, golf clubs, volleyball net, boogie boards! Our favorite place in the world is Hapuna Beach, just up the road a few minutes. Love the boogie boarding. Get there early to claim the best spot (parking and picnicking). When you can't take any more sun, drive further north to Hawi -- looks like an old Western town. World's best ice cream and Kona coffee. Staying at Kolea, right by the beaches, is the way to go: avoid the drive up from congested Kona -- stay here, and spend the time at the beach, not in traffic. Great restaurants, grocery store and lots of other shopping nearby.

      Homeowner Response:
Erin, I am glad you had a great time. Thank you for staying and we look forward to your next trip!
