  I had a birthday party here recently and could not have been happier with the house, property and beach. We had everything we needed and then some! I was shocked to find that all house hold essentials were at the ready and there were more than enough to accommodate all of our guests. We had about 10 people comfortably stay all weekend and had more come for a dinner and space was never an issue. We all could have spent the entire weekend enjoying the view from the hot tub or walking on the beach. I highly recommend this property for any special occasion or weekend get away with friends.

  My wife and I were entertaining my sister and niece (along with her three little girls) from the East Coast for the Easter Holiday. This home was perfect....right on the beach, it included everything you could possibly need for a weekend retreat. Kitchen was loaded with dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. The hot tub was especially appreciated along with the large screen TV with DVD selections. Loved the guest house too. Can't wait to return for another visit.

  We were lucky enough to get together with friends and family and enjoy the beach as well as this beautiful house. We really enjoyed sitting out in the hot tub and watching the sun set. The house was right on the beach, so we could hear the gentle sound of the waves as we enjoyed the hot tub. We also enjoyed watching dolphins swimming past as we ate breakfast in the lounge chairs. The house itself had large windows that faced the ocean, no matter which room we were in, there were nice view of the water. The house was also well stocked in games, we had a great time playing late into the evening. I would definitely recommend this property. Thanks for making such a luxurious home available for rental, we hope to come back again.

  I've been renting beach houses for many years with sister, our spouses, and our kids. Our family has grown, and this house worked out wonderfully for our group now with 3 generations, including 2 young professionals, two sets of seniors, and 2 families of 4 (kids age 6-15). The sleeping arrangements worked for our crowd. The house itself with its wonderful floor to ceiling windows facing the sea would be great even if the weather were bad, but we were lucky. Close to beach access stairs, our group had a fine time building forts and sand sculptures, playing soccer and football, walking on the beach. The house features plenty of space in the living areas with comfy furniture and tables for games/Legos and a big dining table with ocean view. The kitchen accommodates several cooks (seafood paella the last night with ingredients from Phil's!) and all the tools are there. There are beach toys and chairs in the garage, pens and note paper by the phone, flashlights, plenty of linens, plenty of everything. The hot tub got a lot of use! 42 Shearwater is without a doubt the most thoughtfully equipped beach house we've ever rented. Greg and Dominque were great to work with. We all had a grand time and hope for a repeat.

  I rented House 42 for the first weekend of 2013 to kick off our 50th year with my very best friends from high school. We could not have asked for a better place to kick back, relax and reconnect! The view is to die for and you can really see the ocean from almost anywhere in the house. And the deck and hot tub overlooking the ocean are worth the price of admission. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked gourmet meals which we ate in the elegant dining room - we loved that they had taper candles at the house! We walked 4 miles on the beach each day and because you're in a gated community, you just don't see that many people so you have the feeling of being far away (of course, it wasn't summer and perhaps it's more busy in warmer seasons). I was also impressed with how quiet the house was! I would come back to this house!

  This large home can accommodate an extended family group very comfortably. The centrally located living room with big couches around the fireplace, dining room open to the living room area, and the large tv room also open to the living room, allows for large family meals and varied activities all within view of each other, yet without feeling crowded. The wide open view of the ocean from the living room, dining room, bedrooms, comfy deck chairs and hot tub, can't be matched. The kitchen is very well supplied with all the amenities needed for family meal creations of all kinds. Bedrooms are very comfortably set with good beds, comfortable bedding, and pleasant beach decor. Wifi throughout is available. What a great setting for a family retreat!

  House 42 hosted our annual family reunion for the third time this year. The expanse and flow of space from the dining room to the family room - all with spectacular views of the beach - is so accommodating for our family to spend time together. It allows for a variety of activities to occur simultaneously. The home is everything as described, and the sleeping arrangements worked quite well for the varying needs of our group.

  Myself and my closest girlfriends stayed at your home for my 40th birthday and it was an absolutely fantastic weekend. There was plenty of space and for those who wanted to go to sleep at an earlier hour they were able to go to the cottage while others stayed up to catch up. While the hot tub did not work the first night we got there the owners we're quick to respond to my call for help and had a gentleman out there working to fix the problem the following morning. Thanks so much for a fantastic weekend and I hope to visit your home again.

  This beachfront views can't be beat. The house itself is a bit quirky and dated though very clean and well maintained. For our reunion group of adult women it worked fine. But families with small children or folks with disabilities should take note. Also, would definitely need a car to get around. Watsonville is only 10 mins drive away and has all the supermarkets, etc for food shopping needs. The main house doesn't have an indoor staircase, so the two upstairs master suites are accessed via individual outside staircases. The back house is perfect for teens or unrelated adults as all the beds are in one big room and of course, external stairs. The room would be decidedly tight if both twin beds had each's trundle bed pulled out, as the room also has a queen sized bed in one corner and a sofa bed. The kitchen is roomy and stocked with all manner of glassware, appliances, plates and flatware. No problems there. The living areas - living room, balcony, jacuzzi - are spacious and comfortable. Overall, we had a terrific time.

  Cori, We had a great time in Pajaro. The house and location were spectacular. The house worked really well. It was generously supplied with games, computer, wireless and kitchen supplies and basics. It may sound strange, but one of the best things about the house was the lack of rules. In many such paces one is confronted with lists of "thou shall ..." And "thou shall not....". It was of some comfort to come to a place where matters were largely based on a trust that reasonable people were going to act reasonably. Thank you.
