Enjoy a very handy location, with easy access to the best Rome has to offer, at a good value. This small apartment is best for 2 people but can work for 3-4. Living room sofa bed can accommodate 1 adult or 2 small children. The apartment is small, 300 sq ft (30 m2) but great if you want clean and neat apartment at a budget price in a very good location.
Location
Out the building's front door, look to the left to see the beautiful Michelangelo-designed gates to Piazza del Popolo just two blocks away. The apartment is located just one block off Piazzale Flaminio, which is adjacent to Piazza del Popolo. All conveniences at your doorstep with easy walking distance to most of the sites and super transportation options with the metro (subway), bus hub and taxi stand just one block away. Piazzale Flaminio has a beautiful entrance to the serene Borghese Gardens where the Villa Borghese, Villa Giulia Etruscan, National Gallery of Modern Art and Zoological Museums are located.
Exterior
Located in a grand old building with about 20 apartments, you'll find the location to be a great home base for enjoying your Roman holiday.
Interior
The Paolina apartment is very small but efficient, with a freshly redone bathroom and kitchen. Step into the apartment and find the living room to the left down a short hallway and the bedroom straight ahead. A small closet to the right for hanging your clothes. Every square inch of space has been carefully planned for maximum usage. Apartments in this desirable part of Rome's historic center are at a premium, so location trumps square footage for such a sought-after neighborhood.
A large window over the queen size bed illuminates the room. The bedroom wall does not reach all the way to the ceiling to allow for good air circulation within the apartment. Directly off the bedroom is the bathroom with a fully enclosed shower, sink, toilet and new tiles throughout. Crisp, fresh linens on the bed and shelves in one corner for storage. Due to the small size, close proximity of the bedroom to the bathroom with accordion door, and open ceiling in the bedroom this apartment is best for close families and friends who don't need much privacy. It certainly offers a lot more than a similarly priced hotel room in a comparable prime Piazza del Popolo location.
A short hallway leads to the pleasant living room with a sofa bed. Handsome artwork on the walls are a nice accent. A sleek glass-topped table for dining along one wall and a comfy upholstered armchair faces the sofa and coffee table for relaxing. A small leather footrest below the flat-screen TV in one corner can be pulled over for putting your feet up at the end of a busy day of sightseeing.
At the end of the living room five steps lead up to the kitchen which has a large window. The ceiling height of the doorway header over the top step is low, about 5'8" so you might have to duck your head a bit when you reach the top step. Once within the little kitchen area the ceiling height is normal, not low. The kitchen is a marvel of planning efficiency. It's very small but nicely appointed with a wall of cupboards containing dishes and serving pieces. A two-burner electric stove, sink, small refrigerator and shelves above for pots keep everything within arm's reach. Compact in size, it's best for light meal preparation. The neighborhood has a wonderful deli nearby, Castroni, with excellent take away for easy, quick meals.

We enjoyed your tiny but charming apartment. It had everything we needed - thank you. Your recommended driver, Stefano, was prompt and very helpful in getting us from the airport to the apartment. We were endeared to Carlo your greeter for his efficiency in explaining everything and for answering our phone calls (2) per a location we could not fine. Thanks to Carlo we saw Rome Volley versus Sisley Volley Belluno, a sport we love and saw our friend from Sisley Belluno's team play. :) We loved the location near the metro - we did not realize how valuable this location would be. We used the metro each day we were there. Thank you for opening your sweet apartment to us.

After a busy week of at-home catch-up and the challenges of returning to work, this is a belated thank you for our stay in your delightful and very conveniently located apartment in Rome. We were especially grateful to Carlo for his courtesies and flexibility, including offering to pick us up at Roma Termini to take us to the apartment. He is a an excellent ambassador for his country and a thoroughly charming young man to have as your greeter.

We were very pleased to be among the first guests to stay at the Paolina apartment. We were on a tight budget but really wanted something fairly close to the Spanish Steps area. The Paolina apartment certainly fit the bill! Cute and nicely furnished, we really enjoyed the convenient location and would have had to spend considerably more for a hotel room in the same area without benefit of a kitchenette and our own living room area to lounge in. The greeter Carlo spoke good English and was very friendly which made the arrival process go smoothly. The restaurant just out the front door and immediately to the left was good! Ate there several times. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Italy Perfect for all your help and useful tips.

We were lucky enough to be the first guests at the Paolina. The apartment is small, exactly as described, but very well appointed: the interior architect has worked very well with the available space to make a comfortable and enjoyable interior - we had no disappointments with our stay. I am 6'1" and didn't bump my head once on either the front door or the kitchen beam! Although many guidebooks suggest that tourists don't need to use the metro, anyone who spends more than a long weekend in Rome will be delighted to know that the Flaminia station really is just yards from the front door, for when the feet get tired (as they inevitably will do at some stage!) But most of central Rome is within comfortable walking distance. We thoroughly recommend the -second- small pizza shop as you come out the front door on the right: although it opens a little late, the pizzas are truly delicious. And for a less 'touristy' evening, Tree Bar is a friendly and popular local (no English menus here!) place about 1km down Via Flaminia. The cost of a taxi back from Trastevere (if nothing else, you must eat once at Dar Poeta!) is about 14 euros. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, and have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Paolina. Buone vacanze!
