Location: Sorrento, Acadia, Maine, USA (1 Hour Bangor Airport, Ellsworth, and Acadia, Bar Harbor)

Accommodations:  House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-9)

Shabby chic-four bedroom summer home (that is winterized so is also available year round for writers, artists, etc) decorated in a causal, comfortable Maine style with local antiques, in the heart of Sorrento. Not on the ocean itself (no ocean view) but fifty-yards or so from the West Cove and sixty yards or so from the East Cove and town dock.

The perfect place for a family in the summer or for a sabbatical in the winter, spring, or fall.

Dishwasher, microwave, TV, VCR, washer/dryer, fax, printer, French coffee press, grinder, etc., fully furnished. Bedrooms include excellent quality king, double, and single beds. House is green and organic in that no toxic cleaning agents used. Real Goods products only. House has a lovely airy feel with ocean breezes from all sides.

Tennis, stunning ocean-side golf course, ocean swimming pool with sand beach all within walking distances. Sailing, you provide the boat, town library, Children's summer programs, community dinners, etc. All activities are not part of the house/rental agreement and require a separate fee you arrange yourself to the Village Improvement Association (VIA).

Our house comes with a tandem Kayak (lifejackets and paddles too) available for your use, at your own risk.

Organic vegetables for sale nearby, blueberries for sale nearby, and Bartlett Maine Winery nearby with award winning red wine.

Our home is the town Post Office (first half of first floor) and that puts us at the heart of a warm and friendly, Maine coastal community. Sorrento is very social in the summer and the Post Office is the meet and greet center of town.

Sorrento has no commercial buildings. This is not the place if you want to "see and be seen." This is right for you if you want peace, quiet, and beauty.

All pets are most welcome.

There is a new Maine law that requires I charge 7% sale taxes on each rental. So my rates are as listed, PLUS the 7% sale tax.

$300 security deposit and 7% Maine state sales tax on your total rental fee. I am required to collect this from all renters due to a new Maine tax law. You pay cleaning fee ($15 per hour — normal cleaning time is 4-5 hours). We take the cleaning fee out of your security and the house is checked after your check-out. The house is non-smoking. The entire security deposit will be retained if any smoking occurs inside the house.

The rental fee is fully refundable if cancellation is provided for BEFORE the summer season begins, (before May 30th of that renting year). Otherwise, $1,000 cancellation fee will be retained.
