Nestled on 6 wooded acres on the "Big Lake" at Lake D'Arbonne, HORTON LAKE PLANTATION boasts a beautiful 2-story house with a huge screened porch and screened balcony (both 33 x 12) that open into large dens (27 x 22) with glass doors. (The porches are suitable for sleeping). The dens are all glass on the back AND front of the house...look one way and see woods...look the other way and see LAKE! The third bedroom is the "bunk house", the bottom floor, which doubles as a second den during the daytime if you like. It has 3 twin beds disguised as built-in benches, a day bed provides 2 twin beds and the sofa is a queen sleeper.
You will drive down a 2-block long driveway, through the woods, to arrive at the house...very beautiful and private. The views are panoramic from every room and wildlife abounds. Deer roam the property and beautiful birds love our dock! There is plenty of room inside and out.
--For your convenience, the pantry is stocked (coffee, tea, flour, oil, condiments, etc). The house has ample towels, sheets, etc. and is decorated with antiques and fun. There's a big grill so you can cook for a crowd and the sailboat has been converted into a buffet table for the outside.
--The property has a private boat ramp, spacious pier and boat house. Everything you need is here!
