Comfortable and Cozy

We enjoyed the comfort and coziness of your home, especially as it rained a lot this week! But we relaxed and ate, which is the whole point of the Jersey Shore.

The two weeks spent here were very relaxing. Your home was nicely decorated. We had a great time and will recommend this to our friends. Hopefully, we can do this again.

What a sweet surprise Belmar has turned out to be for us!

We stayed here, from Southern California, to visit our son. We enjoyed biking, walking, and hanging out at the beach, and spent a day in Manhattan. The Blue Hydrangea has been perfect. Love the "sand and sea" colors and touches. It has been so comfortable and so East Coast for us. Thank you!

A Lovely Place to Vacation

My recent stay at the Blue Hydrangea Beach Cottage in Belmar was great! It is a lovely, warm and inviting cottage. The listing photos were exactly what the accommodation offered. It was immaculate and conveniently located to everything in Belmar. I would highly recommend this property for your vacation. I plan to stay there again in the future.

My wife, 4 year old son and I spent a week in June 2011 at this wonderful property. Everything worked out perfect for us. The cottage was well equiped, clean and offered nice areas for dinning and relaxing both inside and out. We would diffinately stay again.

Great Vacation Home for Families

Our family has rented at the Jersey Shore for several summers now, and this was our first stay in Belmar. The Blue Hydrangea Beach Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was, by far, the cleanest house we've ever rented. It was well-furnished and comfortable, and decorated so cute, just love the colors. The owner was so welcoming and nice, too. We appreciated the restaurant menus and tourism/activity guides that you provided. We definitely would rent from you again!

BEACH PARADISE THAT IS HARD TO LEAVE

Guest: Mercedes and John (Bayonne, NJ)
Date of Stay: 05/26/11 Review Submitted: 05/31/11

We were warmly welcomed and wonderfully accommodated by the owner. This is a beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet 2nd floor apartment on a lovely residential street--just as described and pictured. The location is perfect for a short or long stay since all you need is within walking distance. One of my many favorite meomories is sitting on the deck with a glass of wine in the late afternoon and seeing the tree tops rustling in the ocean's breeze--very relaxing. The worst time was leaving--I wanted to stay and never leave.

Owner response:It was so nice to meet you both, and thank you for the five-star review. So glad that you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you again in the future!

perfect cottage perfect location

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Hydrangea Cottage for a week and absolutely loved it. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Very nice kitchen, as we cooked most of our meals there, 2 bedrooms and a very cozy living room. Very quiet, peaceful and w/in walking distance to Belmar boardwalk and beach. A few blocks from Main Street Belmar which we enjoyed local restaurants and shops. Perfect getaway place any time of year. Would love to stay there again.

Nice Belmar beach apartment

Guest: Center City (Philadelphia, PA)
Date of Stay: 08/21/10 Review Submitted: 09/07/10

perfect for 2 people, or 4 if you spend a lot of time out of the unit. It is a small but very well maintained and clean 2nd floor, rear, apartment, with the owners living downstairs. We have 2 young boys, so the playground 1/2 block away was very convenient. The beach is a long 5 blocks away, but walkable (get a beach cart for your chairs and stuff). The owners are very nice and helpful, sharing information about things to do. Great yard and garden. No outside shower is the only minor downside.

Owner response:Thank you so much for your review. The purpose of a vacation at the shore, of course, is not to spend too much time indoors. That’s why it was most unfortunate that it rained for half of the week that this nice family was here -- and we can understand how they might have had cabin fever after 4 days stuck inside a beach cottage with their 3- and 5-year-old boys. Other guests have remarked what great location we have. We’re in the middle of a quiet block of year-round residents, away from the noise, traffic, and hustle-bustle on Ocean Avenue, most definitely walkable to the beach (4 blocks) and to town (restaurants, shopping, events). If you have a lot of gear to bring to the beach, it’s always a good idea to bring a beach bag, cooler, and/or wheeled cart to help with transporting your towels, toys, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. Some of our guests even have rented bicycles to ride to the beach and around town. For your convenience, there is a shop that rents bikes at the end of our street. We did offer the use of our garden hose to wash off sand in lieu of an outside shower, which is a rarity these days because outdoor hot-water hookups are prohibited by the town.

Great Time, Great Rental -- Highly Recommend

Guest: DeeDee355 (Bloomingdale, New Jersey)

We definitely would recommend this lovely vacation home to other families. It was immaculately clean, nicely decorated, and comfortably accommodated our family of 4 for the week. We were within walking distance of both the beach and the Main Street of town, which was a nice convenience, as was the bicycle rental shop at the end of the street. The owner was helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do with the kids. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and we can't wait to come back next summer!
