Welcome home to your cozy mountain refuge. Here you will be surrounded by all of the comforts of home. As soon as you walk in you will see a basket of slippers. Go ahead, take off your shoes or boots and slip on a pair, it will help you ease into your surroundings.

As you walk down the hall and into the living area you will be amazed at how open and airy the room is with vaulted ceilings while feeling warm and comfortable. Be sure to turn on the gas fireplace for instant ambience. The entertainment system includes a flat screen tv with cable and a dvd player. The stereo system is small but mighty, plays cd’s (there are a few in the condo), and includes an iPod docking station so that you can enjoy your own music. You will even have access to free wifi.

While lounging in the living room or hanging out on the deck, you will be treated with a panorama of mountain views, including the slopes at nearby Keystone Mountain.

The condo comfortably sleeps four and can accommodate as many as six overnight guests, with extra sleeping space provided by the sofa bed in the living room. Each bedroom is furnished with top quality sheets (Egyptian cotton and flannel) and lush towels hang in the bathrooms. If you want to wander around the condo in comfort, or for a quick trip outside to the hot tub pavilion, warm and fluffy chenille bathrobes hang in each bedroom closet.

The two bedrooms are located away from the living area on the opposite side of the condo to allow for quiet and privacy should someone want to retire earlier than the others.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with an en suite master bath that is extra large featuring a shower and oversized Jacuzzi tub where you can ease your weary muscles after a hard day on the mountain. Or throw on a robe and head to the hot tub pavilion with your family and friends.

The second bedroom has comfortable twin beds. The second bathroom is just across the hall and has an oversized shower.

And if you need to wash your clothes for your next day of combating the mountain, the condo comes equipped with a large capacity washer and dryer that is tucked away in a hall closet.

Worked up an appetite? The kitchen is a cook’s delight. Fully equipped with quality pots, pans and utensils it even boasts a spice cabinet with all of the basic herbs you will need to create a culinary masterpiece. A gas grill is on the deck, for those who prefer to cook outside. And no mountain home would be complete without a crockpot so that you can slow cook your dinner while you are outside playing, whether it be hiking, skiing, riding, snowshoeing or shopping at the outlets just down the road.

The kitchen cabinet is stocked with many of the basic staples you’ll need if you arrive late in the evening and haven’t had time to go to the grocery store. Feel free to help yourself, just be sure to restock what you’ve used so that the guests who follow you will enjoy the same privilege.

Where are the activities? All around you. Just a short drive (10 to 30 minutes) from the condo you can choose from these world-class ski resorts, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Copper, Vail and Beaver Creek. If skiing isn’t your thing then hiking and snowshoeing are just outside the door, literally. The entrance to trails that can take you on a short hike or many miles deep into the wilderness are just behind the building. For those looking for something on the tamer side, there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway for the free shuttle that will take you all over Summit County, including the slopes and the outlets.

Please give us a call or email to reserve your stay.

Luxury Mountain Condo for the Discerning Traveller

Why the Owner Chose Salt Lick

I bought my condo in the heart of the mountains, Summit County, because it's conveniently close to everything. I can't tell you how many friends have called because they've been stuck on I-70 because of the traffic and bad roads due to the great snow we get. I've been able to provide safe haven many times.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

Besides avoiding the traffic on I-70, I've been able to maximize my ski experience by doubling my days on the mountain. Then I get to relax in a cozy condo by the fire with a glass of wine and make dinner with my friends. Having a condo is very cost effective with regard to maximizing my ski pass, being able to eat and drink at home, and saving on gas by avoiding the long delays. Everyone should spoil themselves like this. My condo is now available for long and short term rentals.

Owner's Map of Salt Lick

I am an avid skier and cyclist and love being in the mountains. Summit County is the perfect playground.

We're back! Still love the place. I can draw much better now. Weather: slightly cold, snow tomorrow, View: dark, snow covered. My sister loves the teddy bear in her room. (Alex is a little boy who comes with his family and draws pictures in the guest book along with his messages).

Snowed In (Almost)

Guest: Martha and Beth (-)
Date of Stay: 04/04/10 Review Submitted: 09/26/11

Thank you for sharing your great condo with us. We had three great days of non-Spring skiing in April - new snow every day (no sun though). Enough to cause us to almost be stuck inside (almost).
