Spent a week in early June at this house. Everything was very good. Clean, and well kept up. Tied the boat up at the dock and fished six straight days. Good location, relatively short rides to Sanibel, Redfish Pass, and Boca. Would definitely book this house again. Woody's restaurant across the canal was excellent as well.
Owner response:Thank you. We look forward to your return as our guests on Pine Island.

Great place to spend the winter. House in great and very clean. Great deck out back that is shaded in the evening so you can relax in comfort. Boats from rubber dingies to huge motor sailers go by within a few dozen feet on the deck. Close to Pine Island Sound and great fishing. Spent three wintder months here in 2009 and are signed up for the same three months in 2010. St James lives at a slower pace than the rest of the world, with means the residents are going to live longer then the rest of us. Every one is friendly and give us bicylists room on the road. We loved being right on the canal & hearing early morning fishing boats go out. Caught a lot of fish right outside the back door, including a funny puffer. Didn't miss having a white sand beach nearby since there's so much ocean ambiance all around. The little town of St. James has a laid-back, JimmyBuffetlike feel. Great local smoothies, too. If you're looking for something a little out of the mainstream, you'd like this place.
