One bedroom, one full bath, with a full kitchen with all the amenities. Will sleep 2-4 people comfortably. We are in a gated community located 45 miles south of Kona and 78 miles to Hilo. A unique experience awaits you. Our home has a rain catchment system so you can shower and wash in rain water! Fresh water will be available for you to drink i.e. case of bottled water and a five gallon jug of fresh Ka'u water. Within minutes of the quaint town of Ocean View with all it has to offer - restaurants, two video stores, gas, hardware, groceries and shopping. Also, farmers markets every Saturday with many hand crafted beautiful gifts, fresh fish/lobster, coffee, fruits and vegetables. Also, in nearby Naalehu, there are farmers markets on Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons. Breath taking ocean view to include a 180 degree panoramic view of the last undeveloped virgin coast on the Big Island, as well of the unobstructed view of South Point. 26 miles to Hookena Beach, 22 miles to Punalu'u (Black Sands Beach), 15 miles to Green Sands Beach, or a 3 mile hike to secluded beaches just below the home. Many other hidden beaches and beauties abound in Ka'u - the southern most district in Hawaii. You will truly enjoy one of the southern most vacation rentals in the United States! The star gazing at night is absolutely remarkable and to view the occasional dive boats or ships in the evening is ever so awesome! If you are looking for affordable golfing, Sea Mountain at Punalu'u (Black Sands Beach) and Discovery Harbor offer 18 hole golf courses. Also, another exciting opportunity would be to visit our local Kula Kai Caverns and experience a visit to the lava tubes!
