My family stayed here while my husband interviewed for a job in Charlottesville during the resorts off-season (Novemeber). It was a nice scenic drive to the city and not too far. We couldn't have been happier with our selection. We had excellent customer service and the owner went above and beyond our expectations. The house was in great condition. It was very clean, generously stocked with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathroom, and it was in a very nice and peaceful neighborhood. We did not explore much but the area looked like a top choice for travelers during the in-season... On a side note, my daughter left a little toy behind and Barbara was nice enough to offer to mail it back to us. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend...Only downside to the area was that the mom n pop grocery stores/restaurants were expensive and closed early. Although, that may have been because we were there in the off season. We didn't see any chain stores/restaurants either.

My husband and I and various family members stayed in Nellysford the week before our daughter's wedding at a nearby vineyard. The house was clean and welcoming. Plenty of linens and well equipped kitchen for our large group. Open floor plan and sun drenched sitting room! Quiet neighborhood and starry nights! We highly recommend this rental.

Great house for a fun weekend

Got the college gang and all our kids together for a great weekend (and a great UVa football game). House fit everyone, is very clean, plenty of linens, well-stocked kitchen, lots of casual seating, etc. Kitchen counter made a great place for all the kids to eat, and being on the end of a cul-de-sac makes it a very safe and quiet place to run around the yard. Somewhat remote, with a 35-minute scenic drive to Charlottesville, but the distance means the stars at night are breathtaking! The views of the mountains are also wonderful. Would recommend to anyone.

As soon as we opened the door and looked around we knew it was the place for us. It was clean and had every thing you needed. The view out the window was the sight of the blue ridige mountains. We had a great time with the family and would not have any problem in coming back.

Fantastic House on Stoney Creek Golf Course

My husband and I rented this house for 3 and 1/2 weeks last spring. This is one of the nicest homes we have rented. It is in a golf course community which was prefect for us. We had such a nice stay and were able to bring our pets also which meant alot to us. We travel to Virginia every year and this was the best! We would love to retire here.The pictures on-line do not do this house justice. It is very roomy with a nice deck outback to sit and watch the golfers! The house was very very clean, which you do not find with all rentals. I would recommend the beautiful home to anyone. We are hoping to go back again next spring. Thanks Barbara for allowing our family to get back together at your home in the valley near Wintergreen. We had a great time as a family and the home was perfect for our group. I recommend this house to anyone that wants plenty of space for 10-12 people comfortably. The home has a great kitchen that we used alot. Also only about a 10-12 minute drive from the ski slopes. We enjoyed this Stoney Creek / Wintergreen house. The home is comfortable and includes all the amenities required for a great visit. Stoney Creek is a perfect location to vacation as some of us golfed, while others took the 20 minute drive to the top of the mountain for snow skiing. There is so much to do in the area: hike, bike, fish, golf, tennis, ski, wineries, breweries, good restaurants, 30 minutes to Charlottesville and Staunton…

Great weekend stay

The house was extremely clean and accommodating. The living area was set up so that we were able to have friends and family over for a brunch and had plenty of space. Barbara was great to work with both before and after the stay. I would highly recommend this home for a weekend visit or longer. Wonderful private setting on the golf course.

We got a group of work friends together for a weekend getaway - we could not have asked for a better house! Great location to all types of outdoor activities, and the inside of the house was very clean and had a great layout for our group (10 people). Beds were comfortable, setting was awesome! Our family, 6 adults and 4 small children, stayed here the weekend of the Brew Ridge Trail Music Festival. The House is very close to the venue. The house is fantastic! We had everything we needed especially in the kitchen. Most of all, the house was very clean! Great place to stay with many amenities for all. The owner is very easy to work with, and I would recommend this property to anyone, especially families getting together for the weekend. More than enough space.

The pictures of this house do not even do it justice. The house is warm, spacious, and beautifully decorated. My friends and I felt right at home as soon as we walked inside. Most of us are from the DC area, and loved the quiet, natural setting of the house and the resort area. Because it was such a nice weekend, we were able to take full advantage of the deck and large backyard. The owner was also a pleasure to deal with. She is very accommodating and keeps an open line of communication throughout the rental process. If you're ever in the area and need a place to stay, I'd definitely recommend this house!

We enjoyed staying in the house. The House is very pretty and comfortable, All the rooms are comfortable and cosy. The location of the house was very accurate.We understood how to get to the cabin clearly. The amenities were very comfortable. My family loved the cabin might be renting in the future.

We did enjoy our stay and found the house to be quite accommodating. The house was quite clean and in great condition; and the beds were comfortable. Some family members came over for a brief visit Saturday evening -- the graduation proved to be a reunion of sorts -- and each of our guests remarked how nice the place was. We found the kitchen, dining and family areas to provide plenty of space and seating.
