    • We rented the house for four days in August 09 and it was wonderful. The house was great and had very nice wildlife art displayed throughout. Ron and Rose (the owners) were just wonderful generous people and so helpful and friendly. We had a boat which was kept across the street and had no problems at all. Ron even took us out so that we could get a GPS track out to the Gulf and to Homosassa River so that we would know our way around with our boat. This house and setting is great if you want to get away and relax in an old Florida serene setting. If you like nature, fishing, and scalloping (when in season) then this is the place. We also brought kayaks and there are some great opportunities for this activity. Bicycles were also supplied and two extra kayaks for another couple with us were also available. Highly recommended. Thanks Ron and Rose for your hospitality.

    • As a native Floridian I hesitate to let the 'cat out of the bag' out of pure selfishness, because this is what Florida was, and should, be. Capn' Ron and Rose are situated in a part of Old Homosassa that is pure southern charm and unspoiled wilderness. I've had the pleasure of travelling to several of the world's dream destinations but I must confess, this place, as long as Capn Ron and Rose are the trusted custodians, has risen to the top of my list as a return destination. From scalloping, to diving at the Springs, to airboating through the high grass, to sitting on the dock at sunset and listening to some of Capn' Ron's accounts of days gone by as I sipped a nice cold ale, there's nothing better. And I didn't even mentionm the luxurious accommodations of the house. Soooo nice. Many thanks Capn' Ron and Rose. I'll see you again... soon.

    • First of all, there are no better tour guides than Rose & Ron. They are incredibly accomodating and generous people. Creekside is a beautiful, well maintained home where you want for nothing and if you do...Ron & Rose see to it! Great place for couples or a family (like us). We had the best time and HIGHLY reccomend the airboat ride, it was fun & informative. We are native Floridians and saw a part of Florida that was truly undiscovered to us...thanks to Capt. Ron & Rose!!! Look no further if you are interested in exploring Old Florida with people who know it well! Rest & relaxation, as well as all of the excitement you desire awaits you under the guidance of Captain Ron & Rose. A definite return trip is in our future! Thanks for sharing your home, knowledge and friendship with us.

    • We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Rose and Ron were incredibly accomodating from providing printed materials on things to do in the area to charging their battery operated vehicles for the children to drive. After an amazing vacation of scalloping, fishing, boating, and great dining with family, the children voted their favorite experience as going out with "Captain Ron" on his airboat. Ron & Rose, Thank you for a fabulous vacation! We will definitely be repeat customers.

    • It was a wonderful time staying in this spacious home. Kayaking in Mason Creek and the surrounding waters was great fun. We loved going to the Wildlife Park which was close to the house and eating Cuban sandwiches at the Museum Cafe. Biking in the neighborhood as well as the bike trails which were not far away made for a nice afternoon. Ron and Rose are the friendliest people. It was nice that they lived nearby in case we needed anything. We really enjoyed talking with them about the area. This is a great rental for many reasons. We especially liked this location in the Nature Coast area of Florida. Thanks Ron and Rose for having us.

    • We loved our stay at Creekside. The house is elegant and spacious, yet comfortable and inviting. Our children learned to ride bikes in the quiet neighborhood and had a great time playing in the huge yard. Having coffee on the deck listening to the birds in the morning was heaven. We visited the Wildlife park and went to several different waterfront parks in the area. I would recommend this rental to anyone whom would like to visit the real Florida. ~Thanks Ron and Rose!

    • The house is lovely, very clean, and the location is great: quiet and secluded but just minutes from Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park and historical riverfront, where you can hire a boat to see manatees or a sunset trip to the Gulf. The hosts, Ron and Rose, are very friendly. Ron met us at HW19 and we followed him to the house. We borrowed Ron's canoe and spent one morning paddling through the beautiful wetland adjacent to Mason Creek. Rose advised us Fort Island Beach on the Gulf: beautiful sand beach with the boardwalk to fishing pier. Rose and Ron, thank you for everything!
