Location: Long Beach, Los Angeles County & Catalina Island, California, USA (Close to everything in Long Beach, LAX, LA, Orange County)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-5)

Close to everything, the unit is in a charming 13-unit predominantly owner-occupied 80 year old condominium. The units and gated-condo have gone through modern "in character” upgrades. The common deck/patio is on a bluff overlooking a sandy beach and the Long Beach/Belmont Shore Shoreline Bike/Running/Walking Trail. The immediate bay has distance/restriction buoys along the shoreline to aid recreational and competitive swimmers. The beach and run/walk/skate/bike trail are accessed by a 50-yard walk on steps or paved path. The Long Beach convention center is approximately a 1 mile walk.

The condo's patio has a gas barbeque, table, seating and lounge chairs and most of all, views of Queen Mary, Cruise Ship Terminal, Shoreline Village Yacht Harbor, Long Beach Aquarium and the extravagant, man-made inshore oil-producing islands. On spectacular days Catalina Island is part of the vista. On any evening lights from party and theatre boats, inshore islands, terminals, and Shoreline Village and their reflections on the water are spectacular. The sunsets are remarkable!

June 1 - July 31, 2009 only available from 10 AM Friday - 2 PM Sunday. Rate US$400.

The unit is 940 square feet; two bedrooms (master bedroom with queen bed and second bedroom with two twin beds which adjust to one king bed) and bath on top floor; living room, dining room and kitchen on bottom floor. The bathroom and kitchen have been recently remodeled and facilities are robust. The décor is modern and attractive.

The Passport Redline Bus stop on East Ocean Blvd is very close. The bus conveniently travels from the Cruise Ship Terminal to Long Beach Aquarium, Convention Center, Museum of Art, Belmont Shore, Seal Beach and Long Beach State (CSULB). By car The Getty is 45 minutes, LAX, LA County Museum LACMA, Knott’s Berry Farm, Disneyland are 30 minutes. The owners and family enjoy their visits and look forward to sharing thoughts on cultural and recreational activities in the Long Beach/Southern California area.

  • Although appearing nice online. we were pleasantly surprised at the meticulous care taken to the place. Has charm and warmth with complete accessibility to all attractions that may be of interest. Being that is a smaller privately owned building for the most part, you are not subject to the constant feeling of superiority of present residents.. Always friendly and helpful. A wonderful location with an at home feel. Carla and Randy very accommodating and easy to deal with.

  • Absolutely wonderful condo. Everything you could possibly need is supplied. The view from the veranda is heavenly, but lastly, the owners are super people, so nice. We recommend this rental highly!
