Our newly remodeled two bedroom cottage is 5 kilometers from downtown Atenas on a private road. Great views of the valley may be seen from both the front and rear terraces. Trees and coffee all around, and there is a nearby river with a 30 foot waterfall.
One bedroom contains a double bed, and the other a single bed. The living room has a small dining table, a sofa, and several chairs. There is a full kitchen and bathroom (shower only). A land-line telephone makes it possible to connect to the internet. Linens and kitchen utensils are provided. Enjoy satellite TV and wireless high speed internet, as well as a variety of music from the CD player and the library of discs.
Atenas is famous for its near perfect weather (70’s and 80’s every day) and its mountain scenery. We are about 35 minutes from the San Jose International Airport, and 60 minutes from the Pacific beaches. You can rent a car and have it delivered to you in Atenas for the same price you would pay at the airport, so unless you speak Spanish and know your way around Costa Rica, it makes sense to come in a taxi from the airport on your first day (costs about $25). We can email you directions to give to the taxi driver.
During the high season (Nov 15 to May 15) rent for one week is $300, or two weeks for $400. During the off season (May 15 to Nov 15)rent for one week is $200, or two weeks for $300. Inquire about special rates for longer term stays. We require a 50% non refundable deposit with your reservation, with the balance due in cash upon arrival, if not prepaid. There is also a $250 security deposit due in cash on arrival (if not prepaid), which will be refunded after any damage and phone charges are deducted.
