Perfect for a romantic getaway, the retreat's amenities include a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, marble counter tops, back deck, brick patio, fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, cookware, utensils, tableware), as well as a dining table with chairs by the bay windows.

  • This is a lovely place. My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, and felt comfortable from the moment we moved our things in. The apartment is everything the site promises: the view is sensational; the bathroom is awe-inspiring; the location couldn't be better. The art on the walls and the layout of the flat made the place unique - a perfect combination of upscale and funky (in a good way). It was great to be able to walk to so many wonderful San Francisco eateries like Tartine Bakery, Delfina's, and the Bi-Rite Creamery. On July 4, we brought in take-out food from a Mexican rotisserie and, because the windows overlook downtown and the East Bay, were able to watch several different displays of fireworks. Parking can be a challenge, but the neighborhood and apartment make this fully worthwhile.

  • Our August 2008 trip to California was fantastic, and our choice of accommodation played a major role! We love this part of the city so I was initially attracted to Nick & Thais' fabulous apartment by merit of the address alone. The photos sealed the deal and a reservation was made. Nick immediately responded with a detailed list of eateries and things to do, and upon arrival the house was stocked with maps, folders, a phone for local calls (great when your overseas cell phone costs a bundle to use!) and of course there were the beautiful views, cozy interior and inviting backyard. If you want to feel like a resident of arguably the nicest city in the US, this is the place to do it. We loved strolling the lively Valencia corridor, kicking back in Dolores Park and also just relaxing "at home." Plus, convenient to the BART and MUNI, it was easy to take a day trip to Berkeley, and also to go downtown to the incredible MoMa Frida Kahlo exhibit and out to Lincoln Park for the Women Impressionists show at the Palace of Honor.   • This is a wonderful rental. The host is lovely, and very responsive if you need him. The location can't be beat, the park is so close, and there are lots of great shops and restaurants near. Public transportation is also close so getting anywhere in the city is so easy. The view is to die for, you can't miss the fog rolling in over the city at night. We have already booked our second stay here.

  • 1/3-6/08 We stayed at this lovely penthouse flat for 4 days and we wished we could have stayed longer. We felt at home immediately. The open design is comfortable and tastefully furnished, including a well equiped kitchen. The large front bay window, with its super view of the City, gives you vast ever changing views of SF all the way to the Bay. The Dolores Park neighborhood is a wonderful 'home base', with many great neighborhood corner stores, shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's great to spend the day exploring the City, coming back to this terrific home away from home to relax and unwind with a glass of wine, and then set out on foot to one of the many super local restaurants that have a friendly neighborhood feel to them. Owners Nick and Thais have many wonderful recommendations for the best of these restaurants----don't miss out on Tartine Bakery which is only a few blocks away! As frequent visitors to the City we look for places that give you a "live here" feel and staying here has that. We highly recommend staying here----great place---great location----great hosts, and a 'to die for' jacuzzi with rainshower head under a skylight! HEAVEN!

  • My husband and I stayed here over the holidays and absolutely loved the apartment. It is in a perfect location with an amazing view of the city. It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. We felt right at home. We loved the bathroom with the cool old medicine cabinet and giant jacuzzi tub. We will definitely stay there again the next time we go to San Francisco and recommend it to our friends.
