Come and stay in our very comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and be prepared to have as much (or as little) fun as you want. Situated on a very quiet, almost 3/4 acre wooded lot on a dead end street, your vacation home is only a few minutes from downtown Dunnellon, where there are great restaurants, wonderful antique shops and friendly people.
Located in the Withlacoochee River Hills, your vacation home is a block and a half and short walk from the crystal clear, wildlife abundant, picturesque waters of the Withlacoochee River and have access to a deeded, community dock with small boat ramp.
Witness the most incredible sunsets there! Have a larger boat? No problem! Three blocks from your vacation home is a public boat ramp for easy access to the Withlacoochee River and Lake Rousseau. Minutes away, the Rainbow River offers canoeing, kayaking, relaxing float trips on tubes and rafts (we highly recommend this!)and snorkeling as well as river tours and cave and relic diving.
In the mood for a little road trip? Disney World, Epcot, Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center, to name a few, are all within 60-90 minutes away. Enjoy golfing? There are some great golf courses nearby, such as Rainbow Springs, Citrus Springs and El Diablo. For those who enjoy horseback riding, there's a wonderful horse ranch, Scattered Acres, less than 5 minutes away. Take private lessons or go on a trail ride!
Dunnellon, FL is 20-40 minutes away from Homosassa Springs, Silver Springs, Yankeetown, Inverness, Brooksville, Ocala and Gainesville. For the truly adventuresome, just minutes away from Ocala, Williston and Crystal River you will find some of the world's greatest dive caverns. There is so much to see and do, you'll wonder where the time went when it comes time to go home. For those who are members, Dunnellon is also home to the Moose Lodge, VFW and American Legion Posts. There's an Elk's Lodge in nearby Hernando.

Karen and Roger, We really enjoyed our stay at your home in Dunnellon. It was clean and comfortable and everything we needed was provided for us. All we had to get was our food. We enjoyed the shopping in Dunnellon and the surrounding area. The surrounding countryside is really beautiful. The Gulf of Mexico was only 20 minutes away and the sunsets there are beautiful. We were able to visit some of the areas attractions which were not too far away. We also enjoyed several of the towns restaurants. Thank you for making our stay the best ever.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Just a short walk to the beautiful Withachoochee River, 5 minutes from the famous Rainbow River and only 20 minutes from the Gulf - this is paradise. We started our mornings on the covered patio waiting for the songbirds to awaken and begin singing. Soon the seabirds from the river would join the chorus and our day started in magnificent fashion. Sunsets were spent on the dock and were spectacular. Our hosts could not have been more friendly, courteous or accomodating and went well beyond in making us welcome and comfortable while equipping our lodging with amenities never expected but well appreciated. Thank You Karen and Roger!

We have just come back from a very enjoyable stay at Karen and Roger's home, I must say it was more then we expected. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Karen and Roger go the extra mile to see you are enjoying their home by making it a great home away from home for all. One day I saw an iron and when speaking with Karen asked if there was an ironing board (you know how cloths wrinkle in packing) she realized there was none and wow Rogers brought us one right away now that is service.We hope if we return to this area of Florida this house is available when we go again its a must stay at place in Dunnellon.

Karen and Roger, We will always be thankful to VRBO for guiding us to this very wonderful home away from home. It is very neat and pleasant and open living space. We are not fishermen but there are plenty of golf courses in the area which we utilized. The neighborhood is very friendly and Karen and Roger are just such special people. Hi Roger & Karen, We have stayed in your vacation home for two years now and have very much enjoyed it. The space inside the home and all the things needed to have a great time and not having to worry about bringing in anything except for the food. It is very comfortable and if not fishing or shopping you have provided entertainment for indoors. The fishing is great as we have caught 10lb 1oz and on down during our two months stay; our largest fish that we have ever caught. Thanks for being so hospitable and kind. We enjoyed our stay, we had expected less for the price, but was pleasantly surprised! Not fancy, but comfortable and clean. Close to the river and the town of Dunnellon and crystal river. We would use this home again if need be.
