The best condo and vacation we have ever had. My family and I stayed for a week and did not want to leave. This condo and location is perfect. The beach is not crowded like it is at other locations. If this is the size condo you need, you need to rent it now and don't bother looking at other ones. I just can't wait until next year. I don't have to bother looking for a condo. I have found it and will rent from you every time we come to the beach. The owner ( David ), is fantastic. Whether it is e-mail or phone, he get's back to you and answers any questions you have. Perfect owner to rent from. Thank you for a great vacation and maybe next year my family and I can stay a little longer.

We enjoyed our peaceful vacation. We watched the dolphin play in the gulf, walked the beach, and enjoyed local restaurants. Many food choices from seafood, steaks, mexican, and fastfood. This condo is quiet, but close enough to any activities you are looking for. (dolphin cruises, parasailing, deep sea fishing, a quick trip to Biloxi 2 hrs away, or the Blue Angels Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, a short distance away.) There is plenty to do, or just do nothing and relax. Our favorite restaurants are: Desoto's, The Shrimp Basket that have daily specials, Tequila's Mexican Restaurant by Winn Dixie, and of course Lambert's the home of the throwed rolls! You will not be disappointed. We look forward to staying here again in a couple of months.

David, **** This email is lengthy, but wanted you to know how we loooooved the condo and our trip! Thank you.. We didn't wanna go home..... we loved it sooooo much! Thank you for your hospitality! I took bunches and bunches of pictures! I'll email you some grrrrreat photos! Nursing student by day / amateur photographer by daydreams. The condo was so beautiful and everything accomodating at our fingertips; from Kitchen to bed, baths and living room, patio; so so nice! The view was awesome! We enjoyed the indoor pool very much! Of course the beach play time was daily! Alexandria's first beach experience was great! She squealed loudly when she ran up to the ocean edge! She was in amazement and in LOVE! She is showing to be a "beach gal"! Every Early Morning- we walked the beach and picked up sea shells! DVD was wonderful! Four year old Alexandria---HAD to WATCH CareBears, SpongeBob and her favorite DVD;s while inside the condo.... We enjoyed the cable, when Alex would allow us to watch TV!!!! LOL. The WiFi - Internet connection was great! I have an online class and I also had to study and research while on vacation. I reluctantly studied, ha.ha. ; but was able to easily surf and study online in the condo! loooooved it! We cooked every day, but went out to eat two of our vacation days. The Original Oyster House was wonderful where we dined by their lagoon window seating and took fun pictures in their front funny face gator & shrimp picture prompts; and our last night we were advised to go to Bahama Bobs; it was good, but the OOHouse was the best! We did venture for some stout coffee at the donut/chicken cafe at Sawgrass Landing on Hwy 59; where Alexandria gazed at a live Alligator named "Sammie". The manager called Sammie over to the fence and fed him up close. Alexandria was amazed! We did buy a small stuffed rolling-laughing -Alligator from the OOHouse gift shop; that of course Alexaandria named = "Sammie"! Oh, almost forgot to mention, we did bring our "captian"; mini-schnauzer -Mr.Frosty. (Alexandria couldn't bear to leave him at home boarding...) He was boarded at the Coastal Pet Resort. It is a pet boarding -located --off Hwy59 after passing Old Time Pottery . Retired Veterinarian Dr.Ron Hayles owns and manages his pet resort. They are open 7 days a week ; Dr.Ron and his staff were awesome! Thanks so much David! We appreciate you! Scott wants to stay there again sometime sooooon!!!!! Sincerely, The Horne Family; Athens,AL

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The weather was perfect and the condo was delightful. It was very clean and comfy and had all the creature comforts we needed. We had such a great stay right before Thanksgiving. The weather was wonderful and the seafood was superb. BP was cleaning the beaches during our trip, but were very helpful in navigating the equipment. We couldn't have asked for a smoother transition. The owner was awesome! The whole process was seamless.

I had to wait awhile before I wrote in a review here...because we picked the worse time ever to go, the oil had just started coming to shore the week before we went down, got to its worst while we were there. Words cant describe what kind of scene that was, it was really sad how bad the beach looked. I was really disappointed that we werent able to use the beach. On the flip side, I can not complain about the condo, its location, and its amenities. The best part about being there when we were, there were only maybe 10 families staying in the condo building the same time we were, so we had the pool to ourselves pretty much everytime we went to swim. The pools were both nice and kept clean. The security was always around and very friendly, and would spend time talking to us. The condo was clean, and was ready for us before check in time. The kitchen had everything we needed and had just been remodeled, and the bathrooms too. My only complaint is that the master bedroom light is hooked to the fan in the bathroom, which was loud and was annoying when getting up to go to the bathroom at night. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony the most, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves...one day we were standing on the beach and realized there were only 5 more people on the beach for as far as we could see. Hopefully its all clean now and business is booming...becuase we want to come back to this same place next year...you cannot beat the price!!

This condo was just as pictured. The area was great, easy to find, convenient to water park and restaurants. There's an empty lot on one side and Gulf State Park on the other side so the beach was not crowded. The owner was pleasant to work with.

I recently stayed at the Penthouse and had a wonderful time! It had everything that I needed and more. It is centrally located, which is very nice. Also, it is located going towards Orange Beach where there are fewer condos which gives you more privacy, but more importantly you don't have to spend all your time at the beach in your car...on the road...trying to either get to your condo, a restaurant, shopping, etc. The condo is also very close-by to a cut-thru road that goes through the beautiful wetland park that allows you to by-pass a lot of traffic. (Don't tell a lot of people or it won't be a cut-thru road anymore. haha) Also, the owner had just updated the kitchen and it was very nice and modern. (Not your generic kitchen you get at other places.) He said that the bathrooms were getting updated the week after my visit. If it's anything like the new kitchen, they will be amazing!

We recently stayed in this Penthouse and it was all that it claims and more. The penthouse was very clean and had all the amenities you will need for a great stay. The location of the Royal Palms is close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The view from the balcony is great and early in the morning we could see the dolphins jumping, which really excited the kids. The showers and hoses located at the end of the boardwalk from the beach made it easy to clean up each time we left the beach. This was the first time we have ever rented a condo from HomeAway and we dealt with the owner directly, who was very easy to deal with and answered all of my questions. The owner made me feel very comfortable in the payment process and he had a professional process in which it was handled. The owner was always available by phone or email for any questions that you may have. If you want a great and affordable family vacation then this the condo for you. Our family is looking forward to going back next year!

We recently stayed in this Penthouse and it was all that it claims and more. I was a little afraid at first because I have never rented a condo from an individual before. The owner made it extremely simple. Upon arrival I was very impressed. The place is beautiful! I have never rented a beach condo before and found it so clean. The Royal Palms is just far enough away from others to allow for uncrowded beaches but close enough to walk to most places. The pools and spa were very clean and uncrowded. There was a security officer there and visible at all times. My family and I felt as if we were at home. I highly recommend this property to others. Thanks for the stay!

Love this condo. It is the perfect size, the perfect location, and has the perfect views. It seems so private b/c it's right next to the State Park. I also enjoy the Security Guard that is on duty. The amenities are nice too! It has an indoor swimming pool, an indoor jacuzzi, an outdoor swimming pool, a steam room, a sauna, and of course the beautiful beach. You can also go parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, and more. The covered parking is an added bonus. The Tanger Outlet Mall and Olde Time Pottery are very close by; as well as, souvenir shops, beach shops, swimsuit shops, great restaurants, and grocery stores/walmart. Check out the Target down there too b/c they have some really cool stuff. The owner answered all of my questions, and I truly felt at easy with my transaction. I was slightly nervous to begin with just with the fact of passing out personal information. I'm glad I decided to book b/c I wouldn't have been treated as nice if I would have went through a big rental agency or a hotel. He even has a concierge service. Although I didn't take advantage of the concierge, I know that it would be great too. Make sure you take your sunshades b/c the white sand is so bright!

This was, by far the best vacation our family has taken in Gulf Shores, AL. The condo is on the top floor with beautiful views of the Gulf. We were so impressed at how clean and comfortable the condo was. The layout was perfect which made for a more spacious feel. With the State Park being on one side of the condo, and an empty lot on the other side, the beach was not crowded at all. Security officers were always on site and were helpful with any questions we had realted to the area. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to enjoy the outdoor, as well as the indoor pools. Covered parking spaces were avaliable for no extra charge as well. We enjoyed our vacation so much that we have already booked our next stay here at the Royal Palms. Our daughters are so excited about spending their few minutes a day in the Steam Room and Sauna.

This is a wonderful condo! The view is beautiful. The condo was really clean (which I obsess over) and decorated very nice. We were so pleased overall! The location is perfect, the beach isn't too crowded but you are just right down the street from all the shops and places to eat. The condo complex itself was nice, the pools were clean, and everything was well maintained. We are already planning our next trip and won't stay anywhere else.

This is a wonderful condo! It's on the top floor of the property, which makes for wonderful views from the seaside balcony. Also, because Royal Palms abuts a state park, you will enjoy a beautifully uncrowded beach during your stay. The extra bathroom is wonderfully handy, and we found the entire place clean and comfortable upon our arrival. The location is impossible to beat. You are within minutes of most of the area's dining and shopping, with the beach only a short boardwalk away.

I have visited Gulf Shores for 40 years, and this condo has the best view of anywhere I have ever stayed. Not only is the view amazing, the penthouse itself is fabulous. Beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home, and in a single complex that is so much more private than one of the huge, noisy resorts. I am already trying to plan my next stay!!!!

This room was great; it was very clean, well decorated and a joy to stay in. The amenities were great with having the two pools (one indoor and one outdoor) and a jacuzzi. Also, the location of this particular group of condos being right on the beach and away from the crowds was awesome! My husband and I found that we were a very short drive from restraunts and attractions. We will definitely look to stay here again and we have already recommended this location to friends as well.

The view is great! I sat on my balcony, drinking my morning coffee and watched as the dolphins put on a show just for me. My girls enjoyed the heated indoor pool and the whirlpool. The place is nice and fresh. It is right next to the State Park and it was at times like having our own private beach. We will definately return.
