We enjoyed our time at "There and Back" immensely. It is such a beautiful, quiet and private home with all the amenities of home and then some. And our expectations were accurately fulfilled by the descriptions and pictures. The owner was a most helpful and courteous host in every respect. Besides enjoying some real laid back time, we also found lots to do and some great restaurants. We would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone!

What a great cabin in the mountains!!! I rented this on VRBO, based just on the website and the listing for a family vacation over the long July 4th weekend. Admittedly, I was a little bit nervous about what I would find. My first hint that the Naffke's were on the ball was the sign up paperwork. It was great! In addition to the contract, they were thoughtful enough to include pamphlets from local businesses, tourist attractions, maps etc that made planning so much easier! Then, all worries vanished the moment I drove up the (steep) drive to the house. The pictures really don't do it justice. It is huge and the living area looks like it could be a model home. Everything was new, clean, comfortable and well stocked. The hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The location of the cabin was close enough to everything but far enough up the mountain to make it feel truly secluded and quiet. An A+ vacation spot and I am certain we'll be back. Thanks again!!!

Believe me, the pictures do not do this cabin justice. My family and I just spent a wonderful week in Maggie Valley, and this cabin added the perfect finishing touch. The owners have gone out of their way to provide for your needs and make it peaceful and comfortable. We nicknamed it "Rivendell" because it feels like a fairy tree house. We have stayed in several cabins in the area, but this is the one that we will come "there and back again and again..... P.S. Don't miss the Maggie Valley Opry!

GREAT PLACE to visit. The cabin and views are absolutely beautiful. We were snowed in for the first two days of our visit, but they were best two days. We played in the snow with our sons, kept the fireplace burning and the hot chocolate pouring. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and playing board games as a family. Cataloochie has a pretty good ski school for beginners. We will definately return in the future. The Jacksons....Dec 19-24, 2009

You place was AWESOME!!! We were there Oct. 16-19 and the fall colors were beautiful. After riding our motorcycles all over the mountains,we really needed the hot tub. Everything was amazing! We will come back, next time for a week.

We have stayed in many cabins across the US and this is one of the most beautiful and clean places. The hot tub on the deck was great along with the wonderful view. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, I know because I have a bad back. I would recommed this cabin to anyone visiting the Smokey Mts. or the surrounding area and the owners were very accomodating and only a phone call away. Very peaceful and relaxing. Thanksgiving 2007 For the first official stay in the cabin, everything was gorgeous! We enjoyed the breathtaking view and had a fire burning in the fireplace the whole time. There were snow flurries Thanksgiving Day and full on snow the day after! One of the things I enjoyed the most was sitting in the hot tub in freezing cold weather, gazing out over the sparkling main stretch of Maggie Valley at night. It was also fun to taste all of the local foodand to see the surrounding towns. We eagerly anticipate coming back as soon as life allows, and hope everyone else enjoys their stay just as much.
