Perfect home base in great location

Thanks to Sonia for getting us a weekend rental at the last minute. The house is perfect for a casual retreat and it was well stocked with all the amenities you would want as if it were you own personal cabin. The linnens smelled fresh and clean, the house was neat and well organized and there was even coffee on the counter which was perfect because we forgot to bring coffee. Great hiking trails right out the front door and we never saw a car drive by so I was comfortable letting the kids play outside. We will definitely come back.

Perfect Thanksgiving

We had our best Thanksgiving ever this year! This cabin is perfect for a small to medium size family and a dog or two. It's old but cozy and centrally located to everything Tahoe has to offer. Sonia, the owner, was more than accommodating with helpful hints for just about everything. The only downfall is that the kitchen is pretty small so cooking Thanksgiving dinner was a bit of challenge, but that made it all the more fun for us :)

My family and dog really enjoyed our stay at your home. It had all the amenities and was very comfortable. It's in a great location. Just minutes from the lake. The area was very quiet and a nice neighborhood. We will definitely come back again.

A wonderful Tahoe cabin

A great cabin with all the amenities of home in a great location. The cabin was decorated very nicely and it actually felt like a home that is cared for instead of a rental cabin. We particularly enjoyed the extensive hiking trails that we found in the Tahoe National Forest located across the street. The location, half way between Kings Beach and Tahoe City, is ideal to take advantage of biking, hiking, golf and lake access. We hope to come back next year.

Tagore house

The house was great! Pet friendly, warm & cozy, and quiet neighborhood. The kids played in the snow all around the house. The inside was decorated nicely and the kitchen has all new appliances. My family has rented this house many times over the past 20 years and I keep coming back! There was plenty of beds and the kids especially love the loft. Restaurants, slopes, shopping is all nearby. The lake is just down the road! I highly recommend this house for your North Shore get-a-way anytime of the year!

Dear Sonia, Thanks, once again, for the use of your cabin. (And feel free to adapt parts of this letter for use on the VRBO site!) We really loved staying there and can guarantee we'll be repeat customers. And please pass on to your housekeeper how pleased we were with how well she kept the house. With two small children (4 and 16 mos) constantly getting into everything (turning over cushions, "exploring" under beds, etc.), I was a bit worried that I'd need to be washing their hands a zillion times a day. But after a couple hours in the house, after unpacking and settling in and cooking my first meal in the kitchen, I was THRILLED that the cleanliness of the house was up to the standards I keep for my own home. And the kitchen -- it had everything I needed! I really enjoy cooking for my family, and it was a delight to find sturdy cookware (Calphalon pans, for instance) in the kitchen, along with all the tools I needed for treating my family to delicious vacation meals. We loved the collection of DVDs (for the parents and the kids), games, puzzles, and books. We took the kids sledding on the snowdrifts right outside the kitchen door, and it was just *perfect* for them, since this was their first time in the snow. We are looking forward to coming back again, and I have already recommended the house to a few friends with small children. Thanks again, Sonia!

Hi Sonia, I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful vacation my family and I had. Your house is amazing - it is beautiful and so inviting, and stocked with everything anyone could need in a home away from home. It's so nicely decorated and furnished, too - it has that perfect mountain/snow retreat feel to it. We were all really sad about having to go back home on Sunday, and are already thinking about when we can come back. My husband (who, by the way, has never really been a fan of cold weather) couldn't stop talking about how great Tahoe and your house are and how we should come back next year. Sonia, Many thanks for letting our gal group stay in your cozy home ... you provided everything!...(from nuts to bolts...as they say!) I highly recommend this great home for a relaxing time. We had a great time we laughed, and solved all the world's problems over a glass of wine (well...several glasses). I totally forgot to submit this comment when I returned home..sorry!
