THE SNOW JUST KEEPS FALLING! This has been the best winter for snowfall accumulation in YEARS. Our historic home is located in beautiful downtown Alma and is accessable year round. Alma has been nestled at the base of the Mosquito Range since 1873, still the highest incorporated town in North America at 10,578 above sea level. This historic home of the Singleton-Rutherford family has been witness to the mining booms & busts of the area and represents mid 19th century construction, updated to the 21st century. Our home is listed on the Park County Historic roster. The old coal shoot has been preserved as a sky light!
We are backed by 14,000 ft peaks which provide for excellent back country adventures year round. We are also 16 miles south of Breckenridge and several of Colorado's most exceptional ski areas. Our area plays host to fishing, hiking, biking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing right out our back door!
In downtown Alma you will find 3 restaurants, a coffee shop with internet access, a health food store, convenience store and several retail shops.
Come visit and enjoy a little bit of the "wild west" where life is a little slower paced and the views are always breath taking any season of the year. |
