Location: Trastevere, Rome, Latium (Lazio), Italy, Europe
Accommodations: Apartment, 1 Bedroom + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2)
Lovely and small independent apartment located in the heart of Trastevere, just 50 metres from the famous Santa Maria in Trastevere Church and only 10 minutes walk across the Tiber to Campo de’ Fiori.
This apartment consists of a bedroom (queen size bed – cm.160x200) with wardrobe and a desk with chair, a fully equipped open kitchen with table and chairs, a bathroom with shower.
In this apartment, just restored, all is new, neat and tidy.
Independent heating system and air conditioning.
All of Trastevere’s charming cafes and restaurants are at your doorstep. The magic atmosphere of the neighbourhood draws visitors, with its narrow, winding streets.
By just crossing the Tiber, the most historical important sites of the city can be reached and you can walk through the old streets of Rome.
Trastevere, located on the right bank of the Tiber, is the artists old quarter of Rome, very typical, full of many kinds of shops (restaurants, pubs, bars, pizza shops, artists shops, antique stores, pharmacies, grocery stores, delicatessen stores, supermarkets, internet point etc.).
The name Trastevere comes from the Latin language (Trans-Tiber) and means "just crossing the Tiber".
In fact, in the past the City ended on the left bank of the Tiber.
Living in the famed Trastevere quarter is a truly interesting and memorable experience.

This review is long over-do! My daughter and I spent 10 days in Rome last June and we could not have asked for a better experience. It started when we stepped off the plane and found a driver waiting for us that was arranged at our request by our host Toni. He met us at the apartment and provided a map with an explanation of all the things to do in Rome. The apartment was everything you could have asked for. It was clean, well decorated and the kitchen was well equipped with all necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable and all the towels and linens were fresh. The area is fantastic! Trastevere is a safe, lively area with many great restaurants. If you walk up the hill--Gianicolo--there is a beautiful overlook of Rome. The owner Toni is very nice. He is organized, very responsive and easy to work with. He has other apartments in Rome and I would not hesitate to rent from him again.

Sorry for the late review!! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in May 2011 and it was our FAVORITE accomodation in our trip to Italy. It is in the perfect location in Rome and Trastevere is the most charming area in the city. Very close to public transportation, awesome daily market in walking distance, lots of restaurants in the area and lots going on in the evening time in Trastevere. We pretty much walked everywhere in Rome and it can be done if you like to walk!! You can get a beer from the bar and go sit in Piazza Santa Maria and meet some nice people, often there's even live music :-) The only thing I would say is that there is a bar right at the end of the street and it can get loud at night with passer-byers but if that doesn't bother you (it didn't bother us) then stay here. You will not be disappointed. Besides the convienent location of the apartment, the apartment itself is very new and clean and the perfect size for two people. Tony is also a wonderful host! He is very nice and helpful :-) If we ever make it back to Italy, we WILL stay here again. No doubt about it!!

My daughter and I stayed in this apartment in June 2011 for four days. The location is perfect and Trastevere is a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of little restaurants and shops. It is a 10 minute walk to Campo de Fuori and centrally located to all the sites. Toni (the landlord) was very simpatico and helpful. There is an excellent gelateria on via Scala (called Gelateria Alla Scala) that my daughter said was the best gelato ever. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. I would highly recommend this apartment.

My wife and I have stayed at the apartment just after the start of the new year (2011). It was a small and romantic apartment for 2. I have stayed in several apartments during my travels to Italy and this one was a fun little place. It is in the heart of Trastevere with LOTS going on in the neighborhood. Many restaurants, shops, churches, etc. There is the market and several grocery stores within short walking distance. We used mass transit during our trip and could pick up the bus or tram with a short walk. Campo di Fiori is just across the river and easily accessible. I have rented several times from Signore Toni both personally as well as for family and friends I take abroad. He is exceptional in the service, care, and attention that he provides. He can provide or arrange for almost any service you will need during your stay. He is the first person I contact when needing to make housing arrangements when I travel to Roma.

We stayed at Tonis flat for 10 days in July 2009. We loved it. Toni was very friendly and helpful - molto simpatici! We were 3 - myself, husband and 3 year old son. A couple recommendations. 1. Rent bikes. 2. 2 favorite restaurants - La Scala on Via La Scala - Osteria da Olinda on the other end of Via La Scala 3. The area out front was a wifi hotspot - you'll see a bunch of locked up tables and chairs. One table and one chair are NOT locked. Just stow them away when you are done with them. 4. Say ciao to Franco or Masso on our behalf if they stop by and introduce themselves. For pictures and our story while staying here look at the notes on my facebook page. We stayed at this Trastevere apartment in April 2009. All the major sites are easily accessible either by walking or public transport. The apartment was very comfortable and has all the amenities. There are plenty of restuarants in the neighborhood. The is also a bakery and small grocery store within 5 minute walking distance from the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great stay in Rome. Toni was really helpful and even arranged for our transportation from the airport!
