La Cruz is a great "central" location, as it is midway between Puerto Vallarta to the south (20 minutes away), and Punta Mita to the north (20 minutes away). Other nearby towns include Bucerias with great authentic Mexican restaurants and shopping, or Nuevo Vallarta and Marina Vallarta - plush Marina areas.
