Why the Owner Chose Gloucester
We looked for several years before deciding on this house. We loved this house because the views are so wonderful. The view of the sunrise in the mornings, the working harbor, watching the fishing boats come and go, and seeing the view at sunset when east glouocester is light up by the reflective glow of sunset is probably my favorite time of day. The other great bonus is seeing fireworks from the house launched from Stage Fort Park, one of the two great parks...Ravenswoods and Stage Fort Park and within walking distance to downtown. We love to walk downtown, only a mile and a half away, to one of the many great restraunts for dinner on a warm summer night and walk home.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The apartment is airy and has a large window that lets in the north light, which artist love and it never gets too hot. There are so many windows you feel like you are outdoors. The great room has high ceiling, kitchen, dining area, sitting area with a fireplace. It is great for parents traveling with children, it gives the parents a bedroom of there own and the kids can sleep in the livingroom and you don't have to eat out every meal because you have a full kitchen that includes a dishwasher and washer and dryer. Everything is neat and clean. Our family of four does live in the house beside the apartment and can provide you inside info on the area. There are bikes to use. And if you have a friend or extended family member there is also a detached extra bedroom and bath that can be rented for $75 per night.

We are a family of 4 and have owned a couple of vacation homes and like to travel. We also have done house exchanges and worked in the vacation rental industry. Hopefully that will allow you to feel comfortable in knowing that you will be comfortable in our rental. We live in the other side of the house and have rented out the entire house before but this year we are only renting the apartment out. We work full time and are not around much but look forward to actually meeting some of the renters, usually we only communicate via email and phone. We are happy to share our local knowledge of the area.
