Beautiful Home - great setting

Guest: Kevin (Commerce MI)
Date of Stay: 09/23/11 Review Submitted: 09/28/11

This was a wonderful house that fit our need perfectly. Fully stocked with everthing you could need. We just moved to SE Michigan and had relative in town and were looking for someplace we could take them and this worked out perfectly. Leaves were turning colors, it was close to St Ignace and ferrys to Mackinaw, and the views were great. Very relaxing spot. Would recommend it to anyone.Thank you.

Owner response:Fall is a great time to enjoy our home. The color tours in our area are breathtaking. The ferrys to Mackinac Island are located only 12 miles from our cottage in downtown St. Ignace and the Island is a litte quieter that time of year. Tod and I hope to have you again

Gray Wolf Lodge

Guest: JAM (Northville, Michigan)

The Gray Wolf Lodge was absolutely perfect! We spent our honeymoon there this past August 2011. The descriptions and photos were exactly what you got for your stay. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others for a vacation. It would be best for family and friends considering the activities and space available.

Owner response:Thank you Ken & Jody and congradulations on your new life together. I hope you keep us in mind for future vacations. As you mentioned in your review there is plenty of space and we love having groups of families come and enjoy our home.

Such a Relaxing Vacation!!!

Guest: Sandra H.
Date of Stay: 07/30/11 Review Submitted: 08/16/11

This was our first time vacationing with Brevort Lake cottages. We had an amazing week with our three adult children and their families. There was plenty to do both at the cottage or sightseeing adventures. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and Tod and Heather were extremely easy to work with. We all hated to leave!!!

Owner response:Tod and I are thrilled that you and your family had such a relaxing vacation and we hope to see you again next year!

Beautiful, fully furnished Home

Guest: Kathy (Dearborn, MI)
Date of Stay: 06/12/11 Review Submitted: 07/17/11

Rented this house for 2 weeks in June. There was nothing lacking from this beautiful, very clean home. Honestly, I can only think of 1 thing that I would like to see added, and that would be cleats for a boat on both sides of the dock. :) Enjoyed our stay & would HIGHLY recommend this home to others.

Owner response:Thank you Kathleen. We are always looking for new ways to make our home better for the guests. Adding those dock cleats is a great idea. We will get those installed for next summer! We hope to have you stay at the cottage again.

Beautiful Cabin!

Guest: Melissa P. (Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan)
Date of Stay: 07/02/11 Review Submitted: 07/12/11

This cabin is one of the best I've ever stayed in. I was surprised and delighted when I opened the kitchen cabinets to find a kitchen stocked nearly as well as my own with high-quality cookware, sharp knives, and nearly every gadget required for gourmet cooking. The beds were comfortable, everything was immaculate- so clean! We really enjoyed our week stay. The hammock, ladderball set, canoe and kayak were well-used throughout our stay. We hope to stay there again!

Owner response:Thank you Melissa. We do go out of our way to try and provide our guests with everything we think they may need during their vacation. We hope to have you again!

Family Fun

Guest: Jason (Petoskey, Mi)
Date of Stay: 05/27/11 Review Submitted: 06/19/11

My family lives in Petoskey so we were really looking for a place to get away before the summer madness began, but still be as beautiful as our home. This cabin and it's location did not disappoint. There is enough room outside to keep kids busy for hours and it gets sun almost all day long. The water was a little chilly but the kids had a blast in it anyway. The canoe that came with the rental was just as much fun out of the water as it was in. My boys had fun believing they were the only ones around and the woods offered a great place for imaginations to run free. The night ski is close enough to touch but when you use the telescope it's magical. My daughter couldn't wait for the sun to go down to use it. The bedrooms were great...the boys loved the bunk beds and my daughter loved the choice of which bed she would sleep on each night. I forgot a few essentials like bath toys and a potty for the youngest and it was all there for me. Everything you need for a family get away is there and waiting. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in and we felt like we were home sitting around the table. My boys loved the bear and pretended to shoot it every five seconds. I think what I loved the most is the seperate room with a couch, t.v., and toys away from the main living area...it was much appreciated on the day it was rainy. The drive to town and the bar/restaurant was a good alternative to eating in every night. It was a wonderful vacation and it did gear us up for the busy summer season. I will bring my kids back time and time again. I wouldn't change a thing!

Owner response:It sounds like everyone in your family enjoyed our home as much as we do. We are truly happy you had such a great time!

Second Honeymoon

Guest: Amber (Birch Run, MI)
Date of Stay: 06/03/11 Review Submitted: 06/19/11

After five years of marriage and four kids, my husband and I were looking for a quite, relaxing, and comfortable place to spend the weekend. We picked this place on looks alone and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect. The sunrises were just as perfect as the sunsets and nothing beat waking up to wild life right outside the back door. We didn't get to see the bald eagle but we did get to be pretty good friends with the swans and ducks. The wall of windows is breathtaking! And, even though we had great weather the fireplace set a perfect night for us. My husband even got me in the canoe and I am glad he did. Gliding along the shore line is an excellant way to end a lazy day. The owners thought of everything imaginable to make it feel like home and I cannot wait to come again but this time with my kids! I think we have found our Vacation spot!

Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed your vacation and hope to see you again soon.

Beautiful, well-appointed home

Guest: M.J.C. (New Mexico)
Date of Stay: 07/03/10 Review Submitted: 07/24/10

Our family chose this house to rent for a mini family reunion. It was perfect. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, but there is a pull-out in the den (mattress looked pretty thin, so we didn't use it). The bunk room was perfect for our 4 kids. The location is awesome. The lake was perfect, in early July, for our kids to play and swim. We saw the bald eagle every day. Lots of bugs, but that is to be expected. We made use of the kayak and row boat that came with the property. It was a wonderful week.

We all enjoyed the day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point and Mackinaw island. The very best part of our vacation was relaxing in your wonderful home. We loved playing board games, swimming and telling stories by the fire. This was a wonderful memory for our family.
