Angler's Isle offers you the finest up to date accommodations on your own private island, nestled in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. This unique setting offers a majestic tranquility that is perfect for corporate gatherings, reunions, family vacations, fishing trips and other group outings. The Main Lodge was built in the early 1920’s and has all the charm and ambiance of a log cabin beautifully updated with completely modernized facilities.

The island is situated near the south shore of Mamie Lake of the Cisco Chain of Lakes (15 interconnected lakes with 271 miles of scenic shoreline extending into the pristine Sylvania Wilderness Area), and is accessible by footbridge, or a short 2 minute ride by pontoon boat. The 4 cabins on the island include the Main Lodge with 3 large bedrooms, (one w/king, one w/3 twin beds, one w/full and twin), a full bath, commercial scale eat-in kitchen with 2 stoves, 2 refrigerators, dishwasher, large dining area, family room with fireplace and unique antique furnishings, and screened in porch only steps from the water’s edge.

The lodge is also equipped with laundry facilities, and satellite TV. Wireless internet is available outside our home on the mainland. The cozy Guest Cabin includes 2 bedrooms, (one w/king, one w/3 twins), a full bath and screened in porch. The 1930’s era Boat House provides additional one of a kind living space set above the water, with 3 bedrooms, (one w/king, two w/2 twins), a full bath, kitchen and spacious family room. The Sleeping Cabin has 2 twin beds, heat and electricity (ideal for teenagers).

The grounds of Angler's Isle have everything you need for your memorable group event or vacation: 6 boat slips and 2 boathouse stalls for your boats and jet skis, fish cleaning facilities, live wells and extra equipment for fishing outings. Swim from the sun deck out to our swim raft, or play in our separate roped-off swim area. Take the canoes for a ride, or take a nap in the hammock. End your days with a warm fire in the outdoor fire pit.

Our event planning services are available to help you organize the perfect family adventure, reunion, corporate outing or other special event. We can arrange catering, business meeting facilities, professional fishing guides, golf outings, biking trips, trap shooting and other activities for your group.

Come experience the Cisco Chain with your own nostalgic resort on a beautiful, secluded island. We are now taking reservations for Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2009. Book early, as weeks are beginning to fill quickly.

Rates apply to groups of up to 20 people.  A charge of $20/night applies for each
additional person up to max of 25 people. Weekly rentals are Saturday to Saturday.
Rental deposit of $1000 is due upon reservation. Remaining balance plus refundable
$500 damage deposit and 5.5% tax is due sixty (60) days prior to arrival.

  • Eight of my closest friends and I traveled to Angler's Isle for our annual fishing trip reunion this past early fall. We stayed on the island and it was truly a trip to remember. The facilities are perfect for larger groups or families - very well kept, easily accessible (even though it's an island) and wonderfully rustic. Staying on the island, one feels like he or she is stepping back in time to the grand old days of grand old Northwoods resorts. However, the facilities have been nicely updated to today's standards where needed - a perfect mix of old and new. The fishing was also excellent. We saw and caught many big fish throughout the week. The owners and caretaker are a joy to work with. We definitely hope to return for many years to come. Highly recommend.

  • Our family owns a small restaurant in Land O’ Lakes. This past summer we were invited to be a sponsor for an all women’s musky fishing school that was held at the Wewantchu Lodge. The women were on the island evenings for training, dining and camaraderie. Days were spent putting their newly learned musky angling skills to work on the water. The women all enjoyed the school, but more importantly the privacy of the island retreat. They were able to learn and have fun in a private and very friendly environment. Several ladies actually changed their family summer vacation plans to return to Land O’ Lakes for family vacations. This is a beautifully maintained retreat that works well for family or business outings. There are plenty of personal facilities and private bedrooms.
