Golf Course Community and Walk to the Beach, Sleeps 8
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach
Our neighbors in Tennessee own a beach house at Edisto and for five years, the moms and their daughters all managed to get away for a week during the summer to enjoy Edisto Beach. After that fifth year, I told my husband that a new restaurant had opened within the Wyndham resort and that the area reminded me of a place his mom had once owned. We went back to SC at the end of that summer and bought our condo. We've never once regretted it. Our entire family just loves Edisto Beach.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We typically enjoy breakfast at the Sea Cow Restaurant followed by 18 holes of golf. After gathering up our boogie boards and beach chairs, it's off to the beach, reading, watching dolphins play, and frolicking in the waves. Upon returning to our condo, we may use the outdoor private shower before heading off to dinner at the Docksite Restaurant or the Old Post Office. By the way - the boogie boards and beach chairs, together with a gas grill, are available for your use as well!
4 - 6 minute walk to number 1 Tee and formal restaurant dining!
Most convenient beach access if driving or walking (approximately 1 mile).
Restrooms available. Usage requires amenities pass that can be purchased at the Recreation Center.
Bike rentals, video rentals, game room, putt-putt golf, ping pong tables, workout room, etc.
Closest pool to condo - requires amenities pass that can be purchased at recreation center.
Great spots to eat fresh seafood or to purchase fresh seafood for self preparation.
Covered pool for all season enjoyment - requires amenities pass that can be purchased at the recreation center.
Owner's Map of Edisto Beach
We are native southerners, currently living near Nashville, TN. My husband is an avid golfer, and although I prefer the beach I enjoy an occasional round of golf myself. My husband says that Edisto is the only place he can go on vacation and truly relax. Enough said.

There were 9 of us (4 adults/5 children) that just got back from a week at 781 Summerwind Villa in Edisto Beach. It was a wonderful vacation! The villa is just as the pictures and the open kitchen to the dinining and living areas is great. The resort is very nice and the beaches are gorgeous. The entire area is very laid back and we were able to do a lot of relaxing. The kids enjoyed the pools, putt-putt, watching the dolphins, and especially the beach. All visitors should take time to visit the Botany Bay Planation Beach - breathtaking. Our favorite places to eat were McKonkey's Jungle Cafe and Sea Cow Eatery. We hope to return to Edisto again. Thanks to the owners for a great place to stay.

We have stayed in a number of house or condo vacation rentals over the years. This is, without exception, the most comfortable and homey of these accomdations we have experienced. I am especially fussy about my bed - it is hard to enjoy a vacation when you aren't able to sleep well. I would have liked to have take the bed in the master bedroom home with me. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner has left helpful notes throughout so that you don't have to figure out how everything works. Edisto Beach, itself, is a great place for a vacation. The golf course is challenging for a skilled player, while my wife, who is just taking up the game, found it manageable and enjoyable as well. The beach is not far away. We found that the nearby Dockside Restaurant was the best place for fresh seafood - you don't want to miss it. All in all I haighly recommend this property.
