Bethany Beach is known as the "Quiet Resort," very wholesome and family friendly. The nearby downtown is beautiful and quaint, with nice bookstores, restaurants, and beautiful boardwalk with a wonderful town square with wholesome entertainment in the evening. At night Sea Colony has a bon fire on the private ocean beach and children can toast marshmallows and make smores while experiencing the breeze off the ocean and sound of surf.
A beautiful national park is to the north and elite Fenwick Island is to the south. Beyond the national park is Dewey Beach/Rehobeth which provides night life that is a little less family oriented, and below the Fenwick Island is Ocean City MD that provides night life for any and every taste.

We rented this property to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our two sons and their families. It was a great place to stay and very close to the beach. We had three families (9 people total) with each one having their own space. Loved that it was three floors so each had privacy when needed. The outside porches were a great place to have a glass of wine and we used the screened in porch every morning to meet for coffee. We had three teenage grandchildren and they had a wonderful time. Enjoyed having the trails to walk and the gym to use. We would most certainly rent again and thanks for the opportunity to enjoy a great week of family vacation. Owner's representative was available to answer all questions and was very helpful.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.
