We stayed in this unit for 4 nights. At first glance it seemed quite nice, and it really can be. The location is great, about a mile from the plaza as the bird fly's (not walking distance), but close enough to everything else too. The unit itself, is just as the pictures show, but a bit smaller. The master bedroom is fine, bed is comfortable. The second bedroom is very small, almost too small for two sharing adults, but a great room for your kids. The patio is large and has a nice table and chairs. But my biggest concern was the shower head which really needs to be replaced. It was old and the water flow was pretty weak. I did mention this to the owner so hopefully he may have changed it by now. The other concern was that even though the housekeeper keeps the unit clean, the tile grout needs serious cleaning. I have tile throughout my house and I have it steam cleaned once a year to keep it looking good. The tile is very clean, but the grout desperately needs cleaning and doesn't look very good. While we were there, it became very cold and we needed to use the heater. (Unfortunately we couldn't use the fireplace because they are repairing the chimney or something???) The heater wouldn't go on because the thermostat was not working. I called the owner who returned my call several hours later in the day. By then I had replaced the batteries and made it work for a few hours but somehow it was preset for 55 degrees at night and we spent a cold night in the unit and were unable to get this changed. Overall we had a good time while staying in this unit. The kitchen is well equipped and there are extra towels and sheets. There was firewood which would be nice to use when the fireplace is fixed. I am sure we would stay here again if these few items were repaired.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: We're grateful for this thoughtful response that confirms the great location of the condo, the faithful presentation of the web photos, and that the guest would return again if a few things are taken care of--and they will be. We've called our maintenance chief to replace the shower head and check the tile grout. The fireplaces were closed in ALL of the condos for inspection to be sure that they are safe since some were not. Now that warm weather is around the corner, all chimneys are being replaced so they will be in perfect working order by late fall or early winter. As all of our other great reviews have shown, we pay a lot of attention to the condo and our many returning guests have been happy with all the new changes: new stone tile in kitchens and bathrooms and brand new leather couch (queen sofa-bed). We ask all of our guests to know what we need to do to keep them returning and we pay attention. Please read all the reviews and call us if you have questions. We work hard to keep our guests happy and returning each year.

A few of my coworkers and I decided to get away for a weekend to relax and explore the town of Santa Fe. We loved this cozy condo and all the southwest decor. The condo is very clean and has a great view of the mountains to watch the sun rise and set. Santa Fe is such a neat town to visit with lots of great restaurants and unique shops. I would recommend this condo highly to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend getaway at an affordable price!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at this condo during the last weekend of December through New Year’s Day. Everything is exactly what you see on the pictures provided on the website. It is equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our entire stay. This condo is very centered located, very convenient drive to pretty much all the restaurants, local shops, and attractions. It snowed on the second day after we arrived, and that made the view from the balcony even more spectacular. We felt very cozy the moment we stepped inside the condo, the décor really reflects the culture of Santa Fe. I was just a little disappointed to the fact that I wasn’t able to connect my Laptop (PC) to the Internet, but our Apple equipment joined the wireless network without any trouble. I will certainly try to book this property on my next trip to Santa Fe.Owner response: We appreciate the great reviews like this one that we get for our condos and pay attention to everything we are told so we can continue to improve our amenities and service. We have not heard from other guests of any problem connecting with PC's (I'm glad their Mac's worked well), but we will look into it immediately and be sure that everyone, unless their own computer blocks them, can use our internet service with no trouble. We hope that all of our guests will phone us immediately if they have any problems so we can address them right away. We live 10 minutes away and are available 24 hrs/a day by cell for any emergency.

This place could not have been more perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. The location gave us easy access to all the highways for our day trips and the restaurants were close by. The view of the mountains made every bit of time spent there feeling like this was a true vacation get-away. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and neat. The owner contacted us promptly and sent all of the pertinent information to make our stay stress free. We'd love to come back in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

This is a true Santa Fe Gem! The condo overall is so inviting and cozy from the moment you enter the unit. The artwork that is throughout the condo is beautiful and truly reflects the culture in Santa Fe. The beds were very comfortable, and everything you need for a comfortable stay is supplied. All you need to bring is yourself and food to cook (if you are so inclined!). The unit is located very close to the Plaza, as well as the DeVargas Mall. Sitting out on the big balcony having our morning coffee was so relaxing. We also sat out at night looking out over the city lights and the stars above. Thank You Scott and Glynn for sharing your condo with myself and my sister. We will definately be back! I have rented many places through VRBO, and have never been disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Very comfortable, nice decor, good location and easy access. My wife and our two adult daughters stayed here over Thanksgiving week and had a great time. Only a few mins from the plaza and some great restaurants. Definitely would recommend it.Owner response: The restaurants in Santa Fe are excellent and there are probably as many as there are galleries--hundreds--but for those who love to cook (and save money), we just put in an all new tiled kitchen (and bathroom) counters and added specialty cooking items. At the end of January 2012, we're refurbishing all the woodwork, replacing the faucets, and upgrading other areas of the condo. We like to welcome our returning guests and surprise them with our changes.

The condo was exactly as described. The decor is just charming and never lets you forget you are in the southwest. It was neat and clean. The digital lock made trying to keep track of a key unnecessary. There is an elevator for those of us who don't do stairs too well at that elevation. Although not in walking distance of the Plaza, it was an easy drive to get there. There is a shopping center with a good grocery store very near. The view out of the balcony in the morning is just gorgeous. I really appreciated the free WIFI, so I could let my friends know what we were doing on Facebook. Most of all the customer service exceeded our expectations. Thank you Scott! I have already recommended to it to someone.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

We stayed here on our first trip to Indian Market. It was so easy to get to and everything was close. We had breakfast on the patio and in the evenings watched the mountains and downtown light up. Everything we needed was right there. There was information inside that helped us decide where to eat and go. Would stay there again on any return trip.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We both have a great love for Santa Fe so we had to have a second home here to escape the Texas heat. Even when it's hot or cold in Santa Fe, it's moderate. It's a place you'll want to return to often because its small size belies the breadth of art, restaurants, and scenic discoveries that abound, most within a 10 minute drive, others as day trips.
Why the Owner Chose Cielo Grande:
The condo has a perfect location: easy drive to the city and all areas around the city, great parking, they have AC in summer and wonderful views. After a long day shopping, hiking, or walking the plaza, it's nice to drive 2-3 minutes to our home out of the fray.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Views of Santa Fe Mts. and City. Air conditioned in summer. Laundry INSIDE the condo.
