The grounds of this newly renovated Old Town executive estate are as opulent and detailed as the most discerning guest could expect. An expansive designer deck wraps the entire north side and back of the property to create a grand indoor-outdoor living space complete with elegant dining deck and high-end resort style sun deck. A 26-foot Debra Yates designed swimming pool with a tall waterfall wall creates a Zen-like feel. Lush tropical landscaping surrounds the property line creating stunning curb appeal from the front. The outdoor deck space is made completely private with high fencing where landscaping is perfectly intertwined to balance the tropical back deck and allowing it to seamlessly flow to the interior.
The unification of the inside with the outside is focused toward the family room, kitchen, master bedroom and bath, and the estate cottage. Single-paned French doors frame the outdoor pool scene and invite in the sunlight. The gourmet kitchen has all the upscale attributes you would expect, including granite counter tops and top-of-the-line appliances. The family room is set as the TV–media area with big comfy lounge furniture, and a large dining table is placed right to the side of it and just off the kitchen. A Caribbean-style formal living room is set toward the front of the house as a sitting area to invite a chat, a good read, or a game of Scrabble.
The huge master bedroom is staged at the back of the main house with banks of single-paned French doors that lead to the outside deck. It features soaring cathedral ceilings, and is furnished with a king size bed and colorful original art-work. An en suite bathroom offers an oversized Jacuzzi tub and double designer vanity. French doors at the back of the bathroom lead you to yet another opportunity for relaxation and pampering--an in-ground spa complete with outdoor shower and spa bench for catching your breath.
The free-standing estate cottage is situated just across the lounging deck from the master bedroom. Here you find a gorgeous setting featuring beautiful furnishings, cathedral ceilings, and more fine art. The design of this cottage is very unique in that it can be set either as two bedrooms, or one bedroom via a wall size custom pocket panel door. Bedding includes one queen size and one full size bed. Most people choose to stage the cottage as two separate bedrooms each with a private en suite bath--but it is entirely up to you. As with the rest of the downstairs of this estate, single-paned French doors line the cottage for inside-out living.
The main house--the original grand stairway leads to the 2nd floor. Here you find two historic bedrooms, each with private bath. The front bedroom is furnished with upscale furnishings, original art work, and offers a queen size bed. The en suite bath has floor to ceiling shining marble. This room has the added feature of an exterior door that leads to the second floor Victorian porch. The porch is set with the most romantic furnishings, including painted wooden rockers and an artistic Victorian bed-swing complete with gingerbread trimming. This is the perfect perch to admire this special Historic Seaport neighborhood.
Down the hall of the 2nd floor is another bedroom. The interior designer set this room for maximum versatility by placing two twin beds in an “L” shape that are topped with bolsters and pillows. Depending on the needs of our guests, this room can be made up as two twin beds, or they can be put together to make a king size bed. As with all the other rooms in the house, no detail has been overlooked in this room that is appointed with beautiful furnishings and original artwork. The completely modernized en suite bathroom for this bedroom is done vintage style. A free-standing sink set against the original heart pine walls captures the romantic era of this remarkable home.
