A perfect beach house!

We enjoyed both the house and the town immensely. The house is very clean and comfortable, and the outdoor areas are pretty and relaxing. The beach is just a block or two away and it was easy to take our dog for morning and evening runs. There are several small restaurants/cafes within walking distance, though one must drive to a grocery store. The only drawback that we noted - and it is a minor one - is that the two bedrooms are situated such that you have to walk through one to get to the other one. This was not a problem for us and, if necessary, there is an outside door to the further bedroom so that one could alternatively use the porch to access this room. We loved the place - and wish we had planned to stay longer!
Recommended for:Pet owners, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This little cottage is cozy and comfortable and an easy walk to the beach. There is a lovely Live Oak sheltering the house which could tell a lot of stories. The garden and seating are terrific. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with every item you might need. The collections displayed throughout the house (not clutter) were interesting and helped relay local history. The owner was very helpful and called to follow-up and ensure we were content. The photos don't do this little cottage justice.

I would unreservedly recommend the historical beach cottage at Bay St. Louis. It is clean, spacious and welcoming, and has a great kitchen that is very well supplied. The manager was courteous and helpful, right from the first phone call through the return of our deposit. Most information about the facility is clearly posted so you can move right in and easily find answers to any questions you might have. We loved going to the Farmer's Markets in the area.

The property was pretty much as expected from the descrition on the web site, its in a great location, and quiet and peaceful. We felt very comfortable for our three week stay, and hope to return. We met the owner Kevin Jordan, who was very friendly, and rapidily fixed a door that was not locking well. We have in fact recommended the property to local people for their overflow visitors. Its just a short walk to the beach, or just a little further to walk to the shops, restaurants, and antique shops, of Old Town Bay St Louis.

This was a nice place to stay and was very close to the beach. Clean, open an old house which was nice considering not many are still there since Katrina. Peaceful and relaxing. Much better than staying in one of the local hotels that are worn out.
