"Rancho Relaxo" as it is called truly lives up to its name. Located less than 2 hours from Los Angeles is where you'll find this beautiful mountain retreat with its gorgeous lake, fresh air, and tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
Note: Den downstairs has an adjacent full bath and can be used as a 4th BR. Couch makes out to a bed. The couch in the living room also makes out to a bed. There are also 2 sets of bunk beds in BR #3 for all the little ones.
There is something to do for everybody: Play pool, watch the squirrels play, go bowling in nearby Crestline, see a movie in Blue Jay, take a drive to Big Bear (45 minutes) and go shopping or try the Alpine Slide, bicycle around the lake, have a BBQ, shop at nearby Arrowhead Village, go skiing at Snow Valley or tubing at Snow Drift, play ping pong, shoot some hoops (side patio), have a romantic fire in the living room fireplace or outside on the side patio, go on a hike or walk, go out to dinner at one of the many fine restaurants close by, drive to Lake Gregory (about 15 minutes)for fishing or an afternoon picnic, take a boat ride aboard the Arrowhead Queen in Lake Arrowhead, visit the Children's Museum (Lower Arrowhead Village), go horseback riding (Snow Valley;seasonal) or do nothing and enjoy a cigar on one of the 3 decks!

Everything we were looking for in a cabin

We joined another family at Rancho Relaxo over New Year's and had a great time. We slept 4 adults and 5 kids very comfortably. The kitchen was clean and well appointed, and we made lots of memorable meals. Be sure to bring an extra lighter just in case the pilot doesn't light at first; we used a lighter and after that, had no trouble with it. There are plenty of blankets for the beds, but the heat works well so you may not need more than the quilts that are on the bed. The pool/game room was the biggest hit with our group. We spent hours every day of our stay perfecting our game! If you are looking for a restaurant, we found the Mandarin Garden Chinese to be a great place, especially for take out on a busy night (we visited on a Sat). Don was very responsive to emails with all of our questions, and returned our cleaning deposit immediately. We would all recommend the cabin for a visit!

My husband and two daughters spent a cozy and relaxing Thanksgiving at this cottage. It was clean and well stocked with games, books, cards in addition to the pool and ping pong tables. An amazing jacuzzi. There was something for everyone and we enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a weekend in the mountains.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This place has it all, all the games you can think of are there. the house itself is very cozy and the views from all around are gorgeous! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The prices are pretty reasonable in prices too!

We had a range of people who stayed with us in our group, so finding a place to keep everyone entertained was not an easy task! Luckily, whether it was ping pong in the garage, playing pool in the bar room, roasting marshmallows in the fire fire pit, catching a movie in the den, sitting on the deck grilling, or a quick drive to Lake Gregory, everyone found something to do and had a blast doing it! We have stayed in quite a few rentals and the stay was always fine but communication wasn't. I have often had to e-mail owners two or three times before getting a first response! This was not the case with Rancho Relaxo; from the first e-mail to the 20th e-mail (haha) communication was quick, friendly and very much appreciated. We had a great time and would recommend this place to everyone!

I rented the cabin for my birthday weekend and everyone had a great time! The location is great, the cabin had plenty of space for all my guests. Everyone loved the den with the pool table. The ping pong table was a big hit as well! I would definitely come back again. Thanks, Don!

Had a great time at the cabin. There was plenty of space for everyone and enough activity for everyone. First off, the weather was great! The pool table was great, it kept most of us busy. We played cards and rented movies from the local video rental place. Really enjoyed it. We'll come again!

We had a great time at your cabin. It had plenty of room for all of us and is close to downtown. If we didn't feel like going anywhere we just stayed at the cabin and took advantage of having a pool table, foosball table and a ping pong table. Thanks again Don and we look forward to staying again!
