Dry Creek Villa was completed during 2008. Most pictures shown here were taken October 2011. Since its opening, guest reviews confirm the villa to be a truly exceptional, idyllic retreat. The property consistently rates 5/5 stars from prior guests. Among the various comparable options in the Healdsburg environs, Dry Creek Villa is totally without comparison: Modern, private, sophisticated and luxurious.
Perched on a hilltop about a mile up a rustic private road and behind automatic gates, this secluded & modern 2BR, 1BA guest house comfortably sleeps 4 - up to 6 people max - and is the perfect retreat in rural wine country. It's just 12 minutes to the downtown Healdsburg plaza and is very close to many award-winning wineries. Lake Sonoma is also 10 minutes up the valley. The iconic Dry Creek General Store is a short drive away.
The Villa's two stylish bedrooms are both furnished with contemporary queen-size platform beds, ultra-comfy premium mattress and quality linens for a restful night's sleep. There's also a clock radio dock for your iPod in each bedroom and room-darkening shades to enjoy a lazy morning in bed. Reading lamps help snuggle up with the book or magazine.
The spacious modern bathroom with vessel sink and over sized shower with room for two is not connected to either bedroom, making it convenient for all guests. Fluffy towels and robes make you feel right at home.
The full electric kitchen with granite counters comes complete with all the accessories to prepare light snacks or a complete gourmet feast, while a dishwasher helps make cleanup a breeze. Outdoors, there's a gas BBQ available seasonally to grill your favorite foods.
The vaulted, airy main room with its bamboo flooring has a rectangular dining table that seats up to six. There's also a pull-out sofabed that converts to an additional sleeping platform. Two comfy Fatboy beanbag chairs completely meld to your body after a full day of wine tasting. For entertainment, there's an AV receiver +iPod connection, and a flat screen TV with a DVD/VCR player and DirecTV satellite with 100's of channels including HBO/Showtime/ESPN for your viewing enjoyment. Board games, puzzles and reading materials round out the relaxation options. If business calls, there is a built-in desk for use with your laptop to connect to the available Wi-Fi broadband connection throughout the villa. Locals calls can also be made from the in-house phone.
After a long day's adventures, soak yourself in the secluded, six-person hot tub under the deep starry sky and then rinse off under the private outdoor hot-water shower. By prior arrangements made during your stay, you may also take a dip in the 48 ft. solar-heated lap swimming pool at the main house nearby on the property (from approximately May until September). Guest passes to the full-featured Parkpoint Health Club in Healdsburg are also available for $20/person/visit.
For special insider tips and advice, take advantage of the owner's local knowledge to introduce you to winemakers, shop-owners and restaurants and other off-the-path info. We can even arrange to pre-stock the villa with items from your shopping list to make your arrival care-free and ready to relax. Wine country living doesn't get better than this!

We stayed at Dry Creek Villa over the 2012 Thanksgiving holiday and it was perfect experience and met all of our expectations . After a few days of traveling, it was exactly what we were looking for to spend a few days relaxing, hiking, checking out the area/town, and drinking some great wines, of course, while gazing at the stars in the hot tub. The views and property were amazing and a short distance to premium wineries and town. There was nothing else we could have asked for in these accommodations and we were so happy we chose this home. Bill and Scott were helpful throughout the booking process and answered any and all questions we had. We will definitely return when we go back to Healdsburg. We highly recommend Dry Creek Villa.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for the kind words and we're happy you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you back again! B&S

We stayed four nights, and we will definitely be back. The location is amazing......a beautiful remote hilltop, yet only ten minutes to Healdsburg and even closer to Dry Creek store. the road to the villa was no problem at all, just requires some attention in driving, and it takes you away from civilization. The villa has Amazing sunrises, hummingbirds buzzing the lavender, and a great deck and grill to enjoy evenings. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfortable, bathroom and shower spacious. We enjoyed the hot tub, and used the av system to enjoy videos on a couple stormy nights. The wineries in dry creek area are also fabulous, we especially enjoyed Quivera, and we got a great tasting at one of the wineries where one of the co owners work. Great value, comfort, and secluded beauty. Did not use pool in late fall, but looks great. Our hosts were welcoming and knowledgeable source for advice on what to see and do. We had a grand time at the villa.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Perfect home for our family. Drive a little off the beaten trail, but worth it! Gorgeous morning views, clean, comfortable home for our short weekend stay. Kids enjoyed the hot tub out in the cold and we enjoyed visiting a couple of wineries recommended by Bill. Any questions or needs, Bill was available. Would love to come back during the summer... Healdsburg is a favorite place for us to visit. We highly recommend this property to other responsible families.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved the Villa!!! Healdsburg is a great small town with neat shops and restaurants right in the middle of wine country. The villa gives you access to Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander Valley. Trust me if you want peace and quiet while being close (10 minutes) from town then this is the place for you. The Villa itself is modern and very clean with incredible views that will make you stare!!! The owners have taken great pains to provide their guests with all the necessary amenties as well as providing great info about the area. WE loved it and will be back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

The pictures on the listing do not do this property justice. The property is set on a small vineyard overlooking the Dry Creek area. The surrounding area is extremely private and peaceful. One thing to note, the drive up the hill to the property is a little rugged (and very dark at night) so it's not something you'll want to be doing multiple times per day. We went out for dinner our first night, but decided to stay in and cook the second night so that we could enjoy some of the local wine.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Laura: We're delighted your stay was memorable and pleasant. We hope to welcome you or your friends for another visit. B&S

Other than dealing with a booking mixup, which the owners ultimately resolved, we had a wonderful stay. As most of the reviews state, it's an absolutely gorgeous property nestled back in canyons just 10 minutes or so outside of downtown Healdsburg. The house is well decorated and comfortable. You cannot beat the views or the jacuzzi amongst the vines. We will definitely be back. Only thing to be aware of (which is stated on their site) is that you do need to drive up a gravel road for 5 minutes or so to reach the house. It is bumpy and rocky. You should have a fairly sturdy car (I have an SUV) and expect it to get very dirty. But definitely worth a dirty car!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Kate: glad it all worked out and look forward to welcoming you and your friends for a future visit. B&S
