Location: Henderson, West, Tennessee, USA (Between Memphis and Nashville, 15 minutes so. of Jackson, TN) View Map

Accommodations:  House/Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-6)

Located in the heart of West Tennessee, The Cottage at Stillwaters Farm provides guests with an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life as well as from busy, attractions-based vacations.
Because The Cottage is located in a rural area at the front edge of a 131-acre farm, wildlife abounds. Birds, butterflies, turkey, and deer are common sites. Occasionally, coyotes' calls drift on the night air, and at any moment the comfort sounds of the country can be heard--a donkey's bray, a dog's bark, a horse's whinny, the thrum of a distant tractor... All that is needed is a good book and a nice hot cup of tea! Birdwatchers are in for a treat, as well, with a wide variety of local birds and migratory flocks, in season, picking our feeders clean. Hummingbirds joust for position at the nectar feeders the majority of the year.

Aside from being a working hay farm, Stillwaters also raises CKC-registered Great Pyrenees livestock guard dogs as well as miniature donkeys, miniature horses, and APHA-registered paint horses. Our guests are welcome to tour the farm with us and meet the cast of characters that we call our livestock.

Our town, Henderson, Tennessee, is a very small town with a warm, friendly atmosphere. This area contains many small antique shops for the treasure hunter, as well as five state parks--Chickasaw, Pickwick, Shiloh National Battlefield Monument Park, Big Hill Pond, and Natches Trace--with many activities to choose from. Civil War buffs will have many sites and activities, such as historic Corinth, Mississippi and its Civil War Museum, within an hour's drive. Hikers, bikers, and horse riders can find many activities to keep busy at the parks, and birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts can find a wide variety of birds and animals on our own farm!

Just 15 minutes to our north is the city of Jackson, which contains a botanical garden, a performing arts center, fairgrounds, a farmer's market, and loads of shopping and fine dining. Train enthusiasts, there is a railroad museum located in south Jackson, just a few steps away from the fairgrounds.

If you are looking for a nice drive or motorcycle ride, we can provide you with a route in any direction that will satisfy your scenic palate. Many more photos can be found on our farm website.

So, no matter what your taste, there's something close for everyone!
